Abstract

MICROBIOSENSOR PARA LA MONITORIZACION EN CONTINUO DE SUSTANCIAS QUIMICAS EN FLUIDOS. EN LAS DOS ULTIMAS DECADAS SE ESTA ASISTIENDO AL DESARROLLO BIOSENSORES CON APLICACIONES CONCRETAS (INDUSTGRIALES, BIOMEDICAS O MEDIOAMBIENTALES, ENTRE OTRAS), QUE COMIENZAN A COMPETIR SATISFACTORIAMENTE CON TECNOLOGIAS ANALITICAS YA CLASICAS. PERO ESTOS EQUIPOS, QUE PRINCIPALMENTE SE BASAN EN LA RETENCION DE LOS MICROORGANISMOS EN MEMBRANAS, TIENEN LIMITACIONES INTRINSECAS. LAS INNOVACIONES APORTADAS RESPECTO DE LA ACTUAL TECNOLOGIA SON DOS FUNDAMENTALES: A) DISPONIBILIDAD CONTINUA DE MICROORGANISMOS AL UTILIZAR UN QUIMIOSTATO, LO QUE PERMITE MONITORIZAR MUESTRAS DE TOXICIDAD ELEVADA AL DESHECHAR TRAS CADA DETERMINACION LOS MICROORGANISMOS UTILIZADOS, B) SE ELIMINA LA MEMBRANA FISICA DE SEPARACION ENTRE EL MEDIO A ANALIZAR Y EL TRANSDUCTOR, PERMITIENDO AMPLIAR EL RANGO DE LINEALIDAD DE LA SEÑAL Y REDUCIR DRASTICAMENTE EL TIEMPO NECESARIO PARA ALCANZAR UNA SEÑAL ESTABLE. SE PRESENTA PUES UN SISTEMA MICROBIOSENSOR PARA MONITORIZACION EN LINEA DE SUSTANCIAS QUIMICAS EN FLUIDOS. COMO EJEMPLO DE APLICACION SE DESCRIBIRA LA UTILIZACION DEL SISTEMA EN LA DETERMINACION EN LINEA DE LA DEMANDA BIOQUIMICA DE OXIGENO (DBO) EN AGUAS.
