Abstract

What is proposed is an espagnolette fitting for windows, doors or the like, particularly a mortise-type edge mechanism 1, which consists of a cover rail 4, of an espagnolette 5 mounted displaceably behind the latter and of a mechanism housing 2 fastened fixedly to the cover rail 4, a pinion 3 then being mounted in the said mechanism housing 2 as a rotary drive member, the teeth of which pinion 3 cooperate with perforations of the espagnolette 5. It is essential, here, that the mechanism housing 2 be produced as one part from plastic, particularly plastic injection moulding, that the cover rail 4, together with spacers 12, 16 projecting at the rear and with at least one retaining plate 14 assigned to one end of the cover rail 4 and intended for a following cover-rail end, also be produced as one part from plastic, especially by injection moulding, and, at the same time, that the retaining plate 14 be connected to the cover rail 4 in a foldably movable manner by means of a so-called film-hinge material portion 15. <IMAGE>
