LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN PROCESO PARA LA PURIFICACION DE GAS DE ESCAPE DE OXIDACION PROCEDENTE DE UN PROCESO DE REACCION PRESURIZADA Y CARGADO CON SUSTANCIAS AROMATICAS Y/O ALIFATICAS, UTILIZANDO UN SISTEMA DE LAVADO DEL GAS DE ESCAPE. EL GAS DE ESCAPE AL SER PURIFICADO ESTA EVOLUCIONADO, EN PARTICULAR, EN UN PROCESO DE OXIDACION OPERADO CON UN GAS QUE CONTIENE OXIGENO, POR EJEMPLO EL AIRE DE OXIDACION DE PARAXILOL (P-X) EN UN PROCESO CONOCIDO COMO WITTEN DMT PARA LA PRODUCCION DE DIMETIL TEREPFTALATO (DMT). EL GAS DE ESCAPE SUFRE UNA PURIFICACION DE ABSORCION BAJO PRESION. EL ABSORBENTE CONSISTE DE FORMA PREDOMINANTE EN UN ESTER O UNA MEZCLA DE ESTERES QUE CONTIENEN UN PUNTO DE EBULLICION MAS ALTO QUE LAS SUSTANCIAS A SER ELIMINADAS MEDIANTE PROCESO DE LAVADO.
