Abstract
LA INVENCION ESTA RELACIONADA CON UN PROCESO DE DESCONTAMINACION DE CHATARRA DE METAL (ESPECIALMENTE DE ALUMINIO O DE ALEACION DE ALUMINIO) CONTAMINADA CON MATERIAL ORGANICO. EL PROBLEMA CON TALES METODOS ES QUE PUEDE TENER LUGAR LA OXIDACION INDEBIDA DEL METAL A MEDIDA QUE SE PRODUCE LA DESCONTAMINACION, DEJANDO UNA PRODUCCION DE APROVECHAMIENTO REDUCIDA. EL PROCESO IMPLICA EL CALENTAMIENTO DE LA CHATARRA EN UN LECHO FLUIDIZADO DE PARTICULAS SOLIDAS FLUIDIZADAS MEDIANTE UN GAS FLUIDIZANTE A UNA TEMPERATURA DE DESCONTAMINACION LO BASTANTE ALTA PARA CONSUMIR EL MATERIAL ORGANICO, PERO POR DEBAJO DEL PUNTO DE FUSION DEL METAL. EL PASO DE CALENTAMIENTO SE LLEVA A CABO EN PRESENCIA DE UN MATERIAL PROTECTOR QUE PROTEGE EL ALUMINIO O LA ALEACION DE ALUMINIO CONTRA LA OXIDACION SUBSTANCIAL MIENTRAS SE MANTIENE LA CHATARRA EN EL LECHO A UN TEMPERATURA DE DESCONTAMINACION. LOS MATERIALES PROTECTORES PREFERIDOS INCLUYEN COMPUESTOS QUE CONTIENEN FLUOR ORGANICO E INORGANICO, PARTICULARMENTE AIF3. EL PROCESO ES PARTICULARMENTE EFICAZ PARA EL TRATAMIENTO DE LAS ALEACIONES DE ALUMINIO QUE CONTIENEN MAGNESIO, QUE SON ESPECIALMENTE SUSCEPTIBLES A LA OXIDACION. LA CHATARRA DESCONTAMINADA DE ESTA FORMA SE PUEDE SOMETER A LOS PROCESOS CONVENCIONALES DE RECUPERACION DE METAL, POR EJEMPLO LA FUSION, Y PROPORCIONAN PRODUCCIONES ALTAS DE APROVECHAMIENTO DE LOS METALES. EL PROCESO DE LA INVENCION TAMBIEN SE PUEDE UTILIZAR PARA PROTEGER EL METAL (PARTICULARMENTE EL ALUMINIO Y SUS DERIVADOS) CONTRA LA OXIDACION EXCESIVA DURANTE LOS TRATAMIENTOS TERMICOS QUE NO SEAN LOS DE DESCONTAMINACION. LA INVENCION TAMBIEN ESTA RELACIONADA CON EL TRATAMIENTO DE BRIQUETAS DE CHATARRA COMPACTADA SIN NECESIDAD DE PROTEGERLA CONTRA LA OXIDACION Y SIN NECESIDAD DE TRITURADO O MOLIDO.
