PARA ELLO SE DESPLAZA A PROPOSITO EL VALOR LAMBDA DE LA MEZCLA, Y SE APROVECHA LA REACCION ESCALONADA DE UNA SONDA LAMBDA DISPUESTA DETRAS DEL CATALIZADOR CON EL FIN DE DETECTAR LA MAGNITUD DEL VALOR MEDIO DEL DESPLAZAMIENTO, EN EL QUE LA REDUCCION SUCESIVA DE OXIGENO O EXCESO DE OXIGENO EN EL CATALIZADOR, ESTA POR DEBAJO DE SU CAPACIDAD DE ALMACENAMIENTO DE OXIGENO.
