Abstract

The jib (10) comprises a jib base (11), an intermediate jib-folding element (12) and a jib tip (13), which are articulated to each other (at 14, 15) at the level of their lower members. The intermediate element (12) is connected to the jib base (11) by a motorised member (36) controlling its pivoting about the axis of articulation (14). The jib tip (13) is connected to the jib base (11) by a coupling assembly (40) having three articulated members (41, 42, 43), the central member (41) of this assembly being connected by articulation to a fixed point of the intermediate element (12) and causing the jib tip (13) to pivot about the axis of articulation (15).
