Abstract

Food product obtained by subjecting cephalopod (preferably squid) muscle to a chopping operation and adding from 1 to 3% by weight of salt (preferably common salt), and one or more of the following ingredients: starch, egg albumin, soya protein, gluten and tripolyphosphate, and other culinary ingredients, which may vary, such as garlic, parsley, onion, etc. The next stage is the mixing of all the ingredients and the forming of the hamburger. Next, the product is stabilized by cooking in an oven at a temperature of from 60 to 150 degree C and it is normally frozen, being distributed commercially in this form.
