UN DISPOSITIVO PARA PRODUCIR CORRIENTE ALTERNA DE ALTA FRECUENCIA PARA CONSUMIDORES DE POTENCIA, COMO TUBOS FLUORESCENTES (LY1,LY2) COMPRENDEN UN TRANSFORMADOR CON UNA BOBINA (N3) CONECTADA EN SERIE CON UN TERMINAL DE SALIDA (E) Y COMPONENTES ELECTRONICOS ACTIVOS COMO TRANSISTORES (T1,T2) CONTROLANDO LA CORRIENTE DE SALIDA, LOS TRANSISTORES SE CONTROLAN POR VOLTAJES ELECTRICOS PRODUCIDOS POR RETROALIMENTACION INDUCTIVA EN BOBINAS (N11,N12). LA SATURACION MAGNETICA SE USA PARA MODIFICAR LA RELACION INDUCTIVA EN CADA VIA DE FORMA QUE LOS TRANSISTORES (T1,T2) CAMBIAN CICLICAMENTE LA DIRECCION DE LA CORRIENTE DE SALIDA. EL REALIMENTACION SE SITUA EN DOS NUCLEOS MAGNETICOS (TR1,TR2) DEL TRANSFORMADOR, CADA NUCLEO ESTA PROVISTO AL MENOS CON OTRA BOBINA DE MAGNETIZACION ELECTRICA DESIGNADA POR UNA BOBINA DE MANDO (N5,N6) COMO LA CORRIENTE ELECTRICA SE ALIMENTA A TRAVES DE LAS BOBINAS DE MANDO PARA CONTROLAR LA SATURACION DE LOS NUCLEOS MAGNETICOS (TR1,TR2). COMO RESULTADO, ES POSIBLE UN CONTROL COMBINADO DE LA FRECUENCIA Y DE LA POTENCIA ELECTRICA EN LOS TUBOS FLUORESCENTES DE FORMA QUE LA POTENCIA LUMINOSA PUEDE CONTROLARSE SOBRE UNA BANDA ANCHA MIENTRAS QUE ALTOS VOLTAJES SE PUEDEN MANTENER ADECUADAMENTE PARA ENCENDER LOS TUBOS.
