LA PRESENTE INVENCION SE REFIERE A DISPERSIONES ACUOSAS COLOIDALES DE UN COMPUESTO DE CERIO (IV) CON FUERTE CONCENTRACION EN CERIO. SE OBTIENEN SEGUN PROCEDIMIENTO QUE CONSISTE EN : PREPARAR UN HIDROXINITRATO DE CERIO QUE RESPONDA A LA FORMULA (I) EN LA CUAL: Y ESTA COMPRENDIDO ENTRE 0,25 Y 0,35; X ES TAL QUE X=4-Y; N ESTA COMPRENDIDO ENTRE APROXIMADAMENTE 0 Y 20 OBTENIDO HACIENDO REACCIONAR UNA SOLUCION ACUOSA DE UNA SAL DE CERIO (IV) Y UNA BASE; SEPARAR EL PRECIPITADO OBTENIDO, LAVARLO Y DISPERSAR EL PRODUCTO OBTENIDO EN MEDIO ACUOSO ACIDO. LAS CITADAS DISPERSIONES ESTAN BIEN ADAPTADAS A UNA APLICACION EN EL AMBITO DE LA CATALISIS, SOBRE TODO, PARA LA IMPREGNACION DE SOPORTES CATALITICOS.
