Abstract

The invention consists in a method for obtaining stamped registration plates and signs which resides in the use of a baseplate which can be formed by stamping, this plate having a face covered with a transparent or coloured coating to which a charge of an antiadhesive is added, and subjected to a drying treatment. Next, after cooling, a second surface sheet is applied thereto, coloured with a different shade from that of the baseplate, this sheet being solidly attached to the plate by means of a permanent heat-activated adhesive, the assembly making it possible to obtain a composite plate capable of being stamped by punches shaped in the form of numbers, letters or signs, which cut the second sheet in accordance with the sign, to the number or the corresponding letter and thus make it possible to detach the silhouette cutout, which leaves uncovered the colour of the baseplate, giving the stamped letter, sign or number its final shape.
