UN METODO PARA LA INHIBICION DEL CRECIMIENTO MICROBIANO EN UN MEDIO ACUOSO. EL 2-(2-BROMO-2-NITROFENIL)-FURANO PUEDE SER AUTILIZADO COMO ANTIMICROBIANO EN UN AMPLIO ESPECTRO DE USOS. SE HA ENCONTRADO UN NUEVO PROCEDIMIENTO DE PREPARACION 2-(2-BROMO-2-NITROETENIL)-FURANO, EN EL QUE EL FURFURAL SE HACE REACCIONAR CON BROMONITROMETANO, USANDO UNA AMINA PRIMARIA O UNA SAL DE AMINA PRIMARIA COMO AGENTE CATALIZADOR PARA PRODUCIR UN PRODUCTO INTERMEDIO, EN EL CUAL SE DESHIDRATA EN PRESENCIA DE ACIDO HASTA EL PRODUCTO DESEADO. TAMBIEN SE DESCRIBE UNA COMPOSICION ANTIMICROBIANA QUE COMPRENDE 2-(2-BROMO-2-NITROFENIL)-FURANO Y UN VEHICULO.
