Abstract
1. Exhauster hood for removing airborne particles from a space for treating prefabricated parts and in particular from an immersion bath (8) which is open at the top and has at least one compartment (13) containing a treatment liquid which generates hazardous gases or vapours, the hood (1) having in the side at least one passage (19) through it for the parts, which are dipped into the compartment by a lifting mechanism, characterised in that at least one longitudinal slot (14) for lifting cables (23) or the like belonging to the lifting mechanism to move through is provided in the top wall (6) of the exhauster hood (1), in that the longitudinal slot (14) and the side passage (19) lie in a common vertical plane, in that the side passage merges uninterruptedly into the longitudinal slot, and in that the side passage (19) is at least substantially closed off by yielding, self-closing sealing means (20).
