EL CALOR ES ENTONCES RETIRADO DESDE EL FLUIDO MEDIANTE CONTACTO INDIRECTO CON UNA CORRIENTE DE AGUA CIRCULANTE EN UN INTERCAMBIADOR DE CALOR. EL AGUA QUE HA TOMADO EL CALOR DESDE EL FLUIDO ES EXPANSIONADA A UNA PRESION REDUCIDA PARA LIBERAR VAPOR DE AGUA Y DISMINUYENDO LA TEMPERATURA DEL AGUA. EL VAPOR DE AGUA ES ENTONCES ABSORBIDO EN UNA SOLUCION DE SAL TENIENDO UNA TEMPERATURA MAS ALTA PERO UNA PRESION DE VAPOR DE AGUA MAS BAJA QUE AQUELLA DEL VAPOR DE AGUA LIBERADO. EL AGUA REMANENTE ES RECIRCULADA AL INTERCAMBIADOR DE CALOR.
