Abstract

Mechanical drive for a clock mechanism having a driver shaft (1), a trip cam (2), a mechanical (spiral, coiled) spring (10) whose one end is attached to the housing, and having a toothed wheel (8) which extends coaxially with the shaft (1) and which drives the clockwork mechanism via a switch wheel (9). The toothed wheel (8) is permanently connected to a slotted sleeve (13) which bears tightly against the shaft. The other end (11) of the spring (10) is attached to a point (12) on the shaft. A radial projection (16) of the shaft (1) cooperates with a stop (18) on the toothed wheel (8) in order to tension the spring (10). The sleeve (13) serves as a frictional connection between the shaft (1) and the toothed wheel (8).
