Abstract

1. TECHNICAL SECTOR

The present invention refers to a device that has been specially conceived to offer a perfect adjustment of masks to the user's physiognomy, whether they are surgical, sanitary, FFP2, N95, cloth, etc., and more specifically to the area of your nose in correspondence with the upper edge of the mask.

The object of the invention is to provide a device that allows maximum adaptability of the mask, in order to offer a sealed barrier between the application area of the mask and the mask itself, so as to avoid any type of flow through said perimeter area, preventing the entry of non-filtered aerosols through said area, as well as preventing fogging of the glasses, in the event of wearing glasses.

It is also an object of the invention to provide a device that allows the mask to be duly stable when practicing sports, sudden movements, or simply when speaking, avoiding the continuous repositioning of the mask with the user's hands, thus avoiding contact and possible contamination of the mask by external agents.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

In the field of practical application of the invention, the masks used as a means of protection against viruses, bacteria and germs, although they may have different configurations, have the common denominator of their difficult adaptability to the area of the user's nasal septum, given the great superficial irregularity that this supposes.

Trying to avoid this problem, the masks usually incorporate a plate of malleable metallic material, which allows its plastic deformation so that it adapts to the contour of the nasal septum.

However, these materials have insufficient rigidity, so that over time they end up deforming, losing the initial configuration that had been given to them.

This entails a problem among which the following aspects should be highlighted:

• The mask loses effectiveness, as it does not seal the filtering area around the perimeter.

• The lack of adaptability means that its users are continually repositioning the mask with their hands, with the consequent contact and possible contamination of the mask by external agents.

• In the case of wearing goggles, the expired air flow exits through the upper edge of the mask, causing the goggles to fog up.

EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION

The device for adjusting masks that is recommended fully solves the aforementioned problems, based on a simple but effective solution.

For this, the device of the invention is constituted from an ultralight body, with an ergonomic structure, totally adaptable to the different nasofacial anatomies, providing a more comfortable and effective use in the different masks existing in the market, such as the FFP2, N95, sanitary or fabric masks.

The device, unlike others on the market, can be used on all types of masks, and has a system of anchoring and fastening points, which make it comfortable and very effective.

The device is made of high-performance PETG (extruded polyethylene terephthalate glycol copolyester), a hypoallergenic material suitable for sanitary use.

More specifically, the device is embodied in a flattened and arched body, with a configuration according to the nasal bridge on which it is intended to fit, which presents corresponding tabs on the outer sides of its extreme edges that emerge from the upper end and extend inferiorly. , and defining a constricted slot for the passage of the upper edge of the corresponding mask.

Based on this structuring, and once the user has washed their hands or disinfected them with a hydro-alcoholic solution, the user must identify the upper edge of the mask to pre-position the device of the invention so that it is arranged by the inner part of the mask, so that the tabs are arranged externally to it.

Once the device is implanted, the user will proceed to hold the mask from the outside and place the elastic on each ear, lowering the lower part of the mask towards the chin and adjusting the device to the nasal bridge.

In this way the mask will be perfectly adjusted to the user's face.

From this structuring, the following advantages are derived:

• Improves mask efficiency by reducing airflow across the nasal bridge.

• Compatible with masks available on the market such as FFP2, N95, surgical, sanitary or cloth.

• The flow of exhaled air towards the eyes is reduced, preventing users who wear glasses from having their visibility limited by fogging of the lenses.

• Improves the grip of the mask preventing it from moving during daily use or during sports activities.

• It is a high quality material, hypo-allergenic, light, flexible and resistant to water and microbiological agents.

• It is colorless, discreet, ergonomic and adjustable to different naso-facial anatomies.

• Quick and easy placement and adjustment.

• Easy cleaning.

PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

In view of the figures outlined, it can be seen how the device of the invention is constituted from a flattened and arched body (1), with a configuration according to the nasal bridge on which it is intended to fit, which has corresponding sides outer edges of its end edges (2) respective flanges (3) that emerge from the upper end extending downwards, and defining a constricted slot, in which an internal widening (4) is defined on which the upper edge of the the corresponding mask (5).

The body (1) is made of high-performance PETG (extrusion polyethylene terephthalate glycol copolyester) of maximum reliability used in injection and blow molding, extrusion and coating technologies, with exceptional transparency, chemical resistance and processability, which provides flexibility and high mechanical properties, suitable for medical and pharmaceutical use and therefore suitable for contact with the skin, as it is a hypoallergenic material.

This material has high resistance to wear and abrasion, high tensile strength and excellent resistance to tear propagation, excellent damping characteristics, very good flexibility at low temperatures, as well as high resistance to oils, greases, oxygen and ozone.

As shown in figures 7 to 9, the device will be implanted on the upper edge of the mask so that it is arranged on the inside of the mask, so that only the lateral tabs (3) are visible externally. .

In this way, and as can be seen in figure 9, a perfect fit of the mask (5) to the user's face (6) is ensured, thus preventing the mask from moving while talking or playing sports, also avoiding the flow of exhaled air through the area top of the mask, which prevents the goggles from fogging up if the user wears them.

In short, it is an effective, light, economical, easy-to-implant, versatile, and resistant device.

1a.- Device for adjusting masks, which being applicable to FFP2, N95, sanitary or fabric masks, being constituted from a flattened and arched body (1), with a configuration according to the nasal bridge on which it is destined to adapt , which presents in correspondence the external sides of its extreme edges (2) respective tabs (3) that emerge from the upper end extending inferiorly, and that define a slot for the passage of the upper edge of the mask (5) at the level of the nasal bridge of the user, is characterized in that the tabs (3) define a narrow groove with respect to the body (1) from which they emerge, a groove in which an internal widening (4) is defined intended to receive the upper edge of the mask (5) , counting in the section prior to said widening with sharp reliefs and opposing determinants of interlocking elements on the body of the mask; it being foreseen that the body (1) is made of polyethylene terephthalate glycol copolyester or PETG.
