Description
Technical Field
The present disclosure relates generally to a mask for protecting a wearer's face.
Background
In various service industries, service providers (e.g., healthcare workers, dentists, cashiers, receptionists, and taxi drivers) need to face various customers located nearby. The transmission and subsequent deposition of body fluids, splashes and saliva from the customer to the service provider can cause various health or wellbeing problems. In the catering industry, hot oil splatter, boiling water and steam can harm a worker's face. In the factory, flying chips generated during the machining process may injure operators. In hospitals, bacteria or viruses may be transmitted to medical practitioners when they breathe, cough or vomiting to the medical practitioners. In the healthcare field (e.g., the elderly's home), caregivers may be faced with spilled water while bathing the elderly.
Thus, donning the mask may help reduce the above-described accidents. There are a variety of mask designs on the market, but most are heavy to wear for a long period of time, disposable and not reusable, difficult to sterilize due to the presence of different soft materials (e.g. rubber), uncomfortable due to the hood contacting and rubbing the face and causing skin reactions, or difficult to breathe due to insufficient space between the hood and nose. Furthermore, most lightweight masks on the market do not protect the front of the head and there is a large gap between the forehead and the mask. As a result, aerosol droplets may fall into the gap and deposit on the wearer's nose, eyes, forehead and/or hair.
Accordingly, there is a need for an improved mask that eliminates or at least reduces the above-described disadvantages and problems.

In certain embodiments, there are rectangular, semi-conical, cylindrical, spherical or square head contact protrusions on the full face mask that contact the forehead, which allow air to flow and circulate over the face for comfort to the wearer.
It can thus be seen that an improved face mask and full face mask have been disclosed that eliminate or at least reduce the disadvantages and problems associated with prior art products. The airflow deflection protrusion of the mask deflects the airflow away from the wearer when the airflow guide tab is positioned. When the top of the full face mask is bent towards the forehead of the wearer by the folded configuration, a large portion of the forehead and the skull may be protected. This reduces the chance of bacteria, viruses or other harmful substances depositing on the forehead, the front of the head and the hair of the wearer. In addition, the folding structure is simple, so that the full face mask is easy to manufacture and assemble.
While the invention has been described in terms of certain embodiments, other embodiments apparent to those of ordinary skill in the art are also within the scope of this invention. Accordingly, the scope of the invention is limited only by the following claims.
