- the engaged parts 25a and 26a are both positioned behind the engaging parts 53 and 54, respectively. That means the partial panel 51L can move forward with only the engaging parts 53 and 54 engaging with the respective engaged part 25a and 26a.
- the first fitting part 55A and the first fitted part 27A are fitted with each other. This restrains the partial panel 51L from moving forward with respect to the device body 20.
- the inner edge of the hole as the first fitted part 27A may have a size corresponding to a protruding part that is the first fitting part 55A. This effectively restrains the partial panel 51L from moving forward, which can prevent the engagement between the engaging parts 53 and 54 on one hand and the engaged parts 25a and 26a on the other hand from getting released unintentionally.
- the partial panel 51L has the multiple front engaging parts 54.
- the number of first fitting parts 55A may be smaller than the number of front engaging parts 54.
- the number of first fitting parts 55A may be smaller than the number of back engaging parts 53.
- the claw part 53a of the back engaging part 53 has a width W1 (see FIG. 7A ) in the front-back direction.
- the claw part 54a of the front engaging part 54 has a width W2 (see FIG. 7B ) in the front-back direction.
- the clearance between the inner edge of the hole as the first fitted part 27A and the outer peripheral surface of the first fitting part 55A may be smaller than the width W1 or W2. This makes it possible effectively to prevent the engagement between the engaging parts 53 and 54 on one hand and the engaged parts 25a and 26a on the other hand from getting released unintentionally.
- a clearance G1 is ensured between the inner edge of the hole in which the back engaged part 25a is formed and the back engaging part 53.
- the clearance G1 allows the partial panel 51L to be arranged in an oblique posture, which facilitates the work of fitting the back engaging part 53 in the hole 25.
- the clearance between the inner edge of the hole as the first fitted part 27A (see FIG. 9A ) and the outer peripheral surface of the first fitting part 55A may be smaller than the clearance G1.
- the clearance between the inner edge of the hole as the first fitted part 27A and the outer peripheral surface of the first fitting part 55A may be substantially zero. That is, the outer peripheral surface of the first fitting part 55A may be in contact with the inner edge of the hole as the first fitted part 27A.
- a clearance G2 is ensured between the hole 26 in which the front engaged part 26a is formed and the front engaging part 54.
- the clearance G2 allows the front engaging part 54 to fit into the hole 26 smoothly.
- the clearance between the inner edge of the hole as the first fitted part 27A (see FIG. 9A ) and the outer peripheral surface of the first fitting part 55A may be smaller than the clearance G2.
- the clearance between the inner edge of the hole as the first fitted part 27A and the outer peripheral surface of the first fitting part 55A may be substantially zero. That is, the outer peripheral surface of the first fitting part 55A may be in contact with the inner edge of the hole as the first fitted part 27A.

- a claw part may be formed on the engaged part 25a formed on the upper surface 22a of the housing 21.
- the back engaged part 25a may be a protruding part protruding upward from the upper surface 22a of the housing 21.

- the edge of a recessed part formed on the partial panel 51L is allowed to function as the back engaging part 53.
- the back engaging part 53 (edge of the recessed part) may engage with the claw part formed on the back engaged part 25a.
- the claw part 54a extending backward is formed on the front engaging part 54.
- a claw part may be formed on the engaged part 26a formed on the upper surface 22a of the housing 21.
- the back engaged part 26a may be a protruding part protruding upward from the upper surface 22a of the housing 21.
- the claw part may protrude forward from this protruding part (back engaged part 26a).
- the edge of a recessed part formed on the partial panel 51L is allowed to function as the front engaging part 54. Then, the front engaging part (edge of the recessed part) may engage with the claw part formed on the back engaged part 26a.

- the second fitting part 55B may be positioned in front of the first fitting part 55A.
- the second fitting part 55B may be a protruding part protruding from the lower surface of the partial panel 51L toward the device body 20.
- the device body 20 has its upper surface 22a furnished with a second fitted part 27B configured to be fitted with the second fitting part 55B.
- the second fitted part 27B may be a hole configured to be fitted with the second fitting part 55B.
- the size of the inner edge of the hole as the second fitted part 27B in the right-left direction may correspond to the size of the protruding part as the second fitting part 55B in the right-left direction.
- the second fitting part 55B may have a gap G3 with respect to the second fitted part 27B in the front-back direction.
- the fitting parts 55A and 55B and the fitted parts 27A and 27B restrain the movement of the partial panel 51L with regard to the device body 20. More specifically, the parallel displacement of the partial panel 51L in the front-back and right-left directions and the rotation of the partial panel 51L on a horizontal plane are restrained.
- the fitting parts 55A and 55B may each have a columnar base 55a and a guided part 55b that extends downward from the base 55a and tapers toward its tip (i.e., the diameter diminishes gradually toward the tip).
- the contact surfaces between the fitting parts 55A and 55B on one hand and the fitted parts 27A and 27B on the other hand may substantially be perpendicular to the horizontal direction.
- the outer peripheral surface of the base 55a of the first fitting part 55A and the inner surface of the hole as the first fitted part 27A may substantially be perpendicular to the front-back and right-left directions. This makes it possible effectively to inhibit the movement of the partial panel 51L with respect to the device body 20 (i.e., movement in the front-back and right-left directions).
- the outer peripheral surface of the base 55a of the second fitting part 55B and the inner surface of the hole as the second fitted part 27B may substantially be perpendicular to the right-left direction. This makes it possible effectively to inhibit the movement of the partial panel 51L with regard to the device body 20 (i.e., rotation on the horizontal plane).
- the back engaging part 53 is first caused to engage with the back engaged part 25a. Then, the front edge 51b of the partial panel 51L is caused to approach the device body 20. This causes the claw part 54a of the front engaging part 54 of the partial panel 51L to interfere with the edge of the hole 26 (engaged part 26a in the example in the drawing) of the device body 20. At the time when the claw part 54a interferes with the upper side of the edge of the hole 26, the first fitting part 55A fits at least partially into the first fitted part 27A. This restrains the partial panel 51L from moving forward.
- the front engaging part 54 is elastically deformed, causing the claw part 54a to engage with the front engaged part 26a.
- the second fitting part 55B may fit at least partially into the second fitted part 27B.
- the left edge 51c of the left partial panel 51L protrudes leftward beyond the left side surface 20d of the device body 20.
- the electronic device 10 falls with its left side facing down, causing the left edge 51c to collide with the floor, the relative positional relation between the device body 20 and the left partial panel 51L is disrupted, which significantly overloads the engaging parts 53 and 54 of the left partial panel 51L.
- a guide surface 54c may be formed on the right side of the front engaging part 54, as depicted in FIG. 6B .
- the guide surface 54c may be a slope inclined in the right-left direction.
- the guide surface 54c guides the inner edge of the hole 26 to release the engagement between the front engaging part 54 and the front engaged part 26a. This allows the back engaging part 53 to disengage from the hole 25, which detaches the left partial panel 51L from the device body 20. This can prevent overloading on the engaging parts 53 and 54.
- the guide surface 54c may be formed on the left side of the front engaging part 54. If the electronic device 10 falls with its right side facing down, causing the right edge 51d of the right partial panel 51R to collide with the floor, the guide surface 54c guides the inner edge of the hole 26 to release the engagement between the front engaging part 54 and the front engaged part 26a. As a result, the right partial panel 51R is detached from the device body 20. This can prevent overloading on the engaging parts 53 and 54.
- the slope for nudging the partial panel 51L to be detached from the device body 20 may be formed not on the front engaging part 54 but on the back engaging part 53.
- the slope may be formed not on the engaging part 53 or 54 but on the inner edge of the holes 25 and 26.
- the front edge 51b of the left partial panel 51L protrudes forward beyond the front surface 20b of the device body 20.
- the electronic device 10 falls with its front side facing down, causing the front edge 51b to collide with the floor, the relative positional relation between the device body 20 and the left partial panel 51L is disrupted, which significantly overloads the engaging parts 53 and 54 of the left partial panel 51L.
- the partial panel 51L may have an auxiliary fitting part 56 as depicted in FIGS. 6B and 10 .
- the auxiliary fitting part 56 may be formed along the front edge 51b of the partial panel 51L together with the front engaging part 54.
- a fitted part 29 (see FIG. 10 ) configured to be fitted with the auxiliary fitting part 56 may be formed on the upper surface 22a of the device body 20.
- the auxiliary fitting part 56 may be a protruding part protruding from the lower surface of the partial panel 51L toward the device body 20.
- the fitted part 29 may be a hole configured to be fitted with this protruding part.
- the auxiliary fitting part 56 has a support surface 56a facing backward. Meanwhile, the inner surface of the hole as the fitted part 29 has a supported surface 29c facing the support surface 56a in the front-back direction. If the electronic device 10 falls, causing the front edge 51b to collide with the floor, this structure reduces the load on the engaging parts 53 and 54 by imparting the load on the auxiliary fitting part 56 as well. Unlike the engaging parts 53 and 54, the support surface 56a has no claw part formed thereon.
- the back edge 51a of the left partial panel 51L protrudes backward beyond the back surface 20a of the device body 20.
- the back edge 51a collides with the floor. Since the engaged parts 25a and 26a are both positioned behind the engaging parts 53 and 54, respectively, the collision of the back edge 51a with the floor releases the engagement between the engaging parts 53 and 54 on one hand and the engaged parts 25a and 26a on the other hand. This allows the partial panel 51L to be detached smoothly from the device body 20.
- the auxiliary fitting part 56 may have a guide surface 56b on the opposite side of the support surface 56a.
- the guide surface 56 which is a slope, allows the auxiliary fitting part 56 to disengage smoothly from the hole as the fitted part 29 if the electronic device 10 falls with its back side facing down.
- the fitting parts 55A and 55B each have the base 55a (see FIGS. 9A and 9B ) with its outer peripheral surface positioned in the up-down direction.
- the base 55a prevents the partial panel 51L from moving in the front-back and right-left directions with respect to the device body 20.
- the base 55a is limited in height. Specifically, the base 55a does not exceed in height a lower surface 22b of the upper wall 22. As a result, if the electronic device 10 falls, causing the edge of the partial panel 51L to collide with the floor, the fitting parts 55A and 55B disengage smoothly from the fitted parts 27A and 27B.
- FIGS. 13A through 13F are views depicting the right partial panel 51R of the upper exterior panel 51.
- the right partial panel 51R has the engaging parts 53 and 54, the first fitting part 55A, and the auxiliary fitting part 56.
- FIGS. 14A through 14F are views depicting the left partial panel 52L of the lower exterior panel 52.
- the left partial panel 52L has the engaging parts 53 and 54, the first fitting part 55A, the second fitting part 55B, and the auxiliary fitting part 56.

- protruding parts may be formed as engaged parts on the device body 20
- holes may be made on the exterior panels 51 and 52, and the engaging parts 53 and 54 may be formed on the inside of these holes.
- the fitting parts 55A and 55B are protruding parts, and the fitted parts 27A and 27B are holes made on the device body 20.
- protruding parts may be formed as the engaged parts on the device body, holes may be made on the exterior panels 51 and 52, and these holes may be allowed to function as the fitting parts.
- the upper exterior panel 51 may be rotated in a direction in which the back edge 51a of the upper exterior panel 51 approaches the device body 20 and in a direction in which the back edge 51a is separated from the device body 20.
- the engaged parts 25a and 26a may both be positioned in front of the engaging parts 53 and 54. This allows the user to release the engagement between the back engaging part 53 and the back engaged part 25a by bending upward the back part of the exterior panel 51.
