  • Best Mode for Invention
  • Hereinafter, preferred embodiments will be described in detail such that those skilled in the art may easily practice the present disclosure with reference to the accompanying drawings. When describing preferred embodiments of the present disclosure in detail, if it is determined that a specific description of a related known function or configuration may unnecessarily obscure the gist of the present disclosure, the detailed description may be omitted. Also, the same reference characters may be used throughout the drawings for parts performing similar functions and actions. Also, in this specification, the terms such as "upper," "upper portion," "upper surface," "lower," "lower portion," "lower surface," "side," or the like, are based on the drawings, and may actually vary depending on the direction in which the elements or components are arranged.
  • Also, throughout the specification, when a portion is specified as being "connected" to another portion, this may include the example where the portions are "directly connected," and also the example where the portions are "indirectly connected" with another element interposed therebetween. Also, the notion that a component may "include" may indicate that the component may include other components, rather than excluding other components, unless otherwise indicated.
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 illustrate diagrams illustrating a press die using a shim plate. Specifically, FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating the state before the press die molds a material, and FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating the state in which the press die molds a material.
  • A press die 1 may include an upper die 100 and a lower die 200, the upper die 100 may be disposed in a up and down direction, which is a first direction 11, and molding may be performed while the upper die 100 moves in the direction of the lower die 200 by a press mechanism not illustrated.
  • The upper die 100 may include a first cam portion 120 having an inclined surface 121 having an inclined surface 121 such that the lower die 100 may move in the second direction 12, which is perpendicular to the horizontal direction in FIG. 1, that is, the first direction 11, and is a direction toward a material P as the upper die 100 moves in the first direction 11, and a material fixing portion 110 pressurizing and fixing the material P placed on the material support portion 210 as the upper die 100 moves in the first direction.
  • The lower die 200 may include a second cam portion 230 having an inclined surface 231 corresponding to the inclined surface 121 of the first cam portion 120 to move the molding portion 240 in the second direction 12 in cooperation with the first cam portion 120 as the upper die 100 moves in the first direction 11, a cam portion supporting portion 220 supporting one side surface of the first cam portion 120 when the first and second cam portions 120 and 230 are in contact with each other, a molding portion 240 configured to move together with the second cam portion 230 and disposed more adjacently to the material P than the second cam portion 230 to bend and mold the material P by being in contact with the material P, and a material support portion 210 disposed on a lower side of the material fixing portion 110 on which the material P is seated.
  • The first cam portion 120 and the second cam portion 230 may have inclined surfaces 121 and 231 corresponding to each other, and the molding portion 240 moving together with the second cam portion 230 due to the inclined surfaces 121 and 231 may bend-mold the material P by moving in the second direction 12 instead of the first direction 11.
  • In the lower die 200, the cam portion supporting portion 220 and the material support portion 210 may not move by the movement of the upper die 100, and only the second cam portion 230 and the molding portion 240 may move in the second direction 12. An LM guide 235 guiding the movement in the second direction may be provided below the second cam portion 230. The lower die 200 may include a spring portion 237 connecting the cam portion supporting portion 222 to the second cam portion 230 and returning the second cam portion 230 to an original position when the upper die 100 moves up.
  • The molding portion 240 may be disposed on the second cam portion 230, and a shim plate 250 may be disposed between a surface 232 of the second cam portion 230 facing the molding portion 240 in the second direction 12 and a surface 242 of the molding portion 240 facing the surface 232 and facing the second cam portion 230. The shim plate 250 may adjust the position in the second direction of the molding portion 240 in the second cam portion 230. That is, when the shim plate 250 having a great thickness is inserted, the molding portion 240 may move toward the material support portion 210, and when a shim plate 250 having a small thickness is inserted, the molding portion 240 may move away from the material support portion 210. Accordingly, by adjusting the gap between the two members, the molding portion 240 and the second cam portion 230, by the shim plate 250, the molding dimension may be adjusted.
  • Although not illustrated, the upper die and lower die 100 and 200 may be disposed symmetrically on opposite sides in the second direction centered on the material support portion 210, and molding may be performed on both sides centered on the material P.
  • As mentioned above, the gap adjustment between the second cam portion 230 and the molding portion 240 may be performed through the shim plate 250. To change the shim plate 250, the molding portion 240 may need to be separated from the second cam portion 230 and replaced with a new shim plate 250, and the molding portion 240 may need to be coupled to the second cam portion 230 again. This operation may take a long time and may inevitably cause a decrease in productivity. Also, since it is not easy to change the shim plate 250, it may be difficult to adjust to an accurate dimension, which may also affect accurate molding.
  • FIGS. 3 to 6 illustrate a press die according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. Specifically, FIG. 3 is a perspective diagram illustrating one side of a press die according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, FIG. 4 is an enlarged perspective diagram illustrating the press die in FIG. 3, FIG. 5 is a plan diagram illustrating a portion of the press die in FIG. 3, and FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating the press die in FIG. 3.
  • A press die 1 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include an upper die 100 and a lower die 200, and the upper die 100 may be disposed in a up and down direction, which is a first direction 11, and molding may be performed while the upper die 100 moves in the direction of the lower die 200 by a press mechanism not illustrated.
  • The upper die 100 may include a first cam portion 120 having an inclined surface 121 such that the lower die 100 may move in the second direction 12, which is a direction perpendicular to the horizontal direction in FIG. 1, that is, the first direction 11 and is a direction toward a material P, as the upper die 100 moves in the first direction 11, and a material fixing portion 110 (see FIG. 1) pressurizing and fixing the material P placed on the material support portion 210 as the upper die 100 moves in the first direction
  • The lower die 200 may include a second cam portion 230 having an inclined surface 231 corresponding to the inclined surface 121 of the first cam portion 120 to move the molding portion 240 in the second direction 12 in cooperation with the first cam portion 120 as the upper die 100 moves in the first direction 11, a cam portion supporting portion 220 supporting the first cam portion 120 when the first and second cam portions 120 and 230 are in contact with each other, a molding portion 240 configured to move together with the second cam portion 230 and disposed more adjacently to the material P than the second cam portion 230 to bend and mold the material P by being in contact with the material P, a gap adjustment portion 260 disposed between the molding portion 240 and the second cam portion 230 and moving the molding portion 240 in the second direction 12, and a material fixing portion 110 disposed on the lower side and on which the material P is seated.
  • In the lower die 200, the molding portion 240 may be divided into a plurality of portions in the third direction 13 perpendicular to the length direction of the material, that is, the first and second directions 11 and 12. In this embodiment, the molding portion 240 may include a first molding portion 240a, a second molding portion 240b, and a third molding portion 240c. Since the first to third molding portions 240a, 240b, and 240c are separated from each other, the molding portion 240 may be adjusted for each portion in the third direction 13, which is the length direction of the material, thereby adjusting distortion caused by the gap difference in the third direction 13. In the third direction 13, a molding portion referred to as the first and second molding portions 240a and 240b and disposed between the first and second molding portions 240a, 240b on both ends may be referred to as a third molding portion 240c.
  • That is, among the first to third molding portions 240a, 240b, and 240c, only the gap between the second cam portions 230a and 230b and the first and second molding portions 240a and 240b may be adjusted by the gap adjustment portion 260, such that the molding dimension may be adjusted in the third direction 13, and the molding deviation in the length direction may also be adjusted. Since the molding deviation in the length direction is relative in the length direction, it may not be necessary to adjust the entirety, and a portion of the molding portion 240c may not need to be adjusted.
  • The second cam portion 230 may also include a plurality of second cam portions 230a and 230b, but an embodiment thereof is not limited thereto, and the second cam portion 230 may be configured as a single component if necessary. When the first cam portion 120 of the upper die 100 is configured to include a plurality of first cam portions 120a and 120b, the second cam portion 230 may be configured correspondingly, and this configuration may also be applied to the cam portion supporting portion 220. That is, when the second cam portion 230 is configured to include the plurality of second cam portions 230a and 230b, the cam portion supporting portion 220 may also be configured to include the plurality of cam portion supporting portions 220a and 220b.
  • The gap adjustment portion 260 may be disposed between the molding portions 240a and 240b and the second cam portions 230a and 230b of which the gap is adjusted. As for the reference molding portion 240c of which the gap is not adjusted, the gap adjustment portion 260 may not be disposed between the molding portion 240c and the second cam portions 230a and 230b. The gap adjustment portion 260 disposed between the first molding portion 240a and the second cam portion 230a may be referred to as the first gap adjustment portion 260a, and the gap adjustment portion 260 disposed between the third molding portion 240c and the second cam portion 230b may be referred to as the second gap adjustment portion 260b. Since the first gap adjustment portion 260a and the second gap adjustment portion 260b have substantially the same configuration, the first gap adjustment portion 260a and the second gap adjustment portion 260b may be referred to as the gap adjustment portion 260 hereinafter.
  • Referring to FIGS. 4 to 6, the first cam portion 120 and the second cam portion 230 of the gap adjustment portion 260 may have inclined surfaces 121 and 231 corresponding to each other, and due to the inclined surfaces 121 and 231, the gap adjustment portion 260 and the molding portion 240, which move together with the second cam portion 230, may move in the second direction 12 instead of the first direction 11, thereby allowing the material P to be bent and molded.
  • The first molding portion 240a may be disposed on the second cam portion 230a, and the first gap adjustment portion 260a may also be disposed on the second cam portion 230a. Accordingly, as the second cam portion 230a moves, the first molding portion 240a and the gap adjustment portion 260a may move together.
  • One side of the first cam portion 120 in the second direction 12 may be configured as an inclined surface 121 in the lower portion. The inclined surface 121 may be formed to correspond to the inclined surface 231 of the second cam portion 230a, and as the upper die 100 moves in the first direction 11, the second cam portion 230a may move in the second direction 12.
  • The cam portion supporting portion 220 may be fixed and may guide and support the movement of the first cam portion 120 and the second cam portion 230. Although not illustrated, an elastic member for pulling the second cam portion 230 in the direction of the cam portion supporting portion 220 may be disposed on the cam portion supporting portion 220, and when the upper die 100 moves up due to this elastic member, the second cam portion 230 may move toward the cam portion supporting portion 220.
  • The second cam portion 230a may include a first portion 233 including the inclined surface 231 and a second portion 234 having an upper surface lower than the first portion 233 such that the first molding portion 240a and the first gap adjustment portion 260a may be seated. The first gap adjustment portion 260a may be positioned on the surface 232 in the second direction from the first portion 233 toward the first molding portion 240a, and the first molding portion 240a may be disposed in the second direction 12 from the gap adjustment portion 260a. The surface 232 from the second cam portion 230a toward the first molding portion 240a may be parallel to the third direction 13. The first molding portion 240a may have an LM guide disposed therebelow such that the first molding portion 240a may move only in the second direction 12
  • The first gap adjustment portion 260a may include a moving member 261 moving in the third direction 13 between the first molding portion 240a and the second cam portion 230a, a screw 265 penetrating the moving member 261 to move the moving member 261 in the third direction 13 and extending in the third direction 13, a handle 270 rotating the screw 265 and a fixed block 267 supporting the handle 270 and the screw 265 to rotate, and having a portion connected to the second cam portion 230a.
  • In the moving member 261, a first surface 264 in a position relatively far from the material P in the second direction 12 may be parallel to the third direction 13 to correspond to the surface 232 of the second cam portion 230a, a second surface 262 close to the material P in the second direction 12 of the moving member 161 may be inclined at a first angle θ with respect to the third direction 13, and a surface 242 of the first molding portion 240a in close contact with the second surface 262 may also be inclined at the first angle θ with respect to the third direction 13. Accordingly, the moving member 261 may have an almost wedge shape, and the first molding portion 240a may move closer to or away from the material P in the second direction 12 as the moving member 261 movs backward and forward in the third direction 13.
  • In the present disclosure, the moving member 261 may be configured as a gap adjustment portion 260a between the first molding portion 240a and the second cam portion 230a, and the first angle θ of the second surface 262 of the moving member 261 may be formed as a small angle of 5° or less, such that precise gap adjustment may be available.
  • A first groove 263 may be formed in the middle in the third direction 13 on the first surface 264 of the moving member 261, and a limit block 280 limiting the movement in the third direction 13 of the moving member 261 may be disposed in the first groove 263. The length in the third direction 13 of the limit block 280 may be smaller than the length in the third direction 13 of the first groove 263, such that the moving member 261 may move in the third direction 13 by the difference in lengths in the third direction between the first groove 263 and the limit block 280.
  • Also, a screw groove corresponding to the screw 265 may be formed on the inner side of the moving member 261, and accordingly, as the screw 265 rotates by the handle 270, the moving member 261 may move forward or backward. One side of the screw 265 may be connected to the fixed block 267 to rotate and the other side may be connected to the third molding portion 240c to rotate. Since the screw 265 and the handle 270 are configured to move the moving member 261, the components may be referred to as a driving unit.
  • The handle 270 or the fixed block 267 may include a sensor for measuring the rotation of the handle 270, such as an encoder, a calculation portion connected to the sensor and calculating a distance that the molding portion 240a moves from the rotation value, and a display portion for displaying the movement distance calculated by the calculation portion, and the display portion may display the distance that the molding portion 240a moves as the handle 270 rotates, thereby allowing a user to perform the gap adjustment more precisely. The display portion may be attached to the handle 270, or only the sensor may be disposed in the handle 270, and the calculation portion and the display portion may be disposed in the fixing portion of the lower die 200 or the second cam portion 230a.
  • a portion of the limit block 280 may be inserted into the cam portion groove 238 formed on the second cam portion 230a, and the other portion may be inserted into the first groove 263 of the moving member 261 of the first gap adjustment portion 260a. The limit block 280 may have a surface perpendicular to the third direction 13, the length in the third direction of the limit block 280 may be the same as the length in the third direction of the cam portion groove 238, and may be shorter than the length in the third direction of the first groove 263 of the moving member 261.
  • The first molding portion 240a may include a molding surface 241 in contact with the material P, pressing the material in the second direction 12 and bending-molding the material, a surface 242 in close contact with the second surface 262 of the moving member 261 on the opposite side of the molding surface 241, a through-hole 244 penetrating the upper surface of the first molding portion 240a in the first direction 11, and a coupling pin 245 penetrating the through-hole 244 and coupling the first molding portion 240a to the second cam portion 230a.
  • The through-hole 244 may be formed longer in the second direction than the head of the coupling pin 245, such that the first molding portion 240a may move back and forth in the second direction 12 while the coupling pin 245 is coupled thereto, and may prevent malfunction by moving only in the second direction 12.
  • In the present disclosure, the gap between the second cam portion 230 and the molding portion 240 may be adjusted through the gap adjustment portion 260 installed in the second cam portion 230 without using the shim plate 250 (see FIG. 1). Accordingly, the gap between the members may be easily and swiftly adjusted, such that consistent molding may be performed even in the long-term use.
  • Also, the distortion of the material P caused by the gap deviation in the third direction, which is the length direction of the material P, may be prevented by adjusting the gap deviation through the divided molding portions 240a, 240b, and 240c, and precise movement in a small distance may be available by using the handle 270 and the moving member 261, which may be advantageous for the gap adjustment.
  • The embodiments of the present disclosure has been described, but the scope of the present disclosure is not limited to the embodiments above, and other modifications based on the present disclosure may be made by those skilled in the art within the above technical scope.
