Definitions
- TITLE Vehicle opening comprising a means of blocking the lock in the event of an impact.
- the invention relates to an opening for a vehicle comprising a means of blocking the lock in the event of an impact.
- the invention also relates to a vehicle comprising such an opening.
- a vehicle in particular a motor vehicle, conventionally comprises at least one opening, in particular at least one front side door, equipped with an exterior opening control.
- the exterior opening control is generally arranged on an exterior panel of the door concerned and comprises a gripping means such as a handle controlling a lock.
- the lock can be arranged on an interior panel of the door concerned and includes an exterior opening lever. An action on the handle causes, by means of a cable or rod movement transmission system, a pivoting of the external opening lever of the lock, the effect of which is to release the lock and consequently to open the door.
- the exterior opening lever of the lock is pivoted to its position releasing the lock, which has the effect of opening the door.
- the exterior opening lever of the lock swings open unexpectedly.
- Such an inopportune opening of the door is dangerous and is contrary to regulatory requirements. It is thus desirable for a door deformed by an impact to remain closed in order to ensure its function of protecting the occupants of the vehicle.
- an active stiffener which extends from the front to the rear of the door and is provided with an active zone vis-à-vis the lock, in particular in the form of a hook, which enters the volume of movement of the lever in the event of deformation of the opening and blocks the lock.
- active stiffeners have the disadvantage of being bulky, making them sometimes unsuitable in the presence of elements of the opening such as a belt reinforcement, and heavy, which affects the mass of the vehicle and its consumption.
- the active stiffener is displaced by the shock in such a way that it is rendered ineffective, for example because it rises outside the zone of movement of the lever.
- the invention falls within this context and aims to provide a vehicle opening remedying the above drawbacks.
- the invention proposes an opening for a motor vehicle, in particular a side door, comprising an exterior panel, facing the outside of the vehicle, an interior panel, an exterior opening control of the opening, in particular at least partially fixed on the exterior panel, a lock, in particular at least partially fixed on the interior panel, the lock comprising an exterior opening lever of the lock configured to be moved, under the effect of a request to open the opening on the exterior opening control, between a rest position in which the exterior opening lever blocks the lock and a release position in which the exterior opening lever releases the lock so as to allow the opening of the sash,
- the sash further comprises a means for blocking the movement of the exterior opening lever:
- the blocking means extends at least partly opposite the interior opening lever along a first direction, transverse to the opening of the vehicle, and along a second direction, orthogonal to the first direction and in particular parallel to a longitudinal direction of the vehicle ;
- the blocking means is disposed at least in part disposed on the outer panel and has a concave structure, relative to the outer panel, extending towards the inner panel so as to block the movement of the outer opening lever along a trajectory between the rest position and the release position before the latter reaches the release position in the event of an impact deforming the outer panel, in particular in the event of a side impact carried out along at least a first direction ;
- the blocking means has at least a first contact surface intended to form an abutment of the exterior opening lever and configured to extend transversely to the path of movement of the exterior opening lever when the exterior panel is deformed.
- the blocking means may have a dimension, along the second direction, of less than 300 mm, in particular less than 200 mm, or even less than 150 mm.
- the first contact surface may be included in an end portion, in particular a rear end portion, of the blocking means along the second direction.
- the blocking means may comprise a "U” or substantially “U” shaped profile.
- a first panel and a second panel of the blocking means form arms of the "U", at least one of the first panel or the second panel can carry a bracket for fixing the blocking means, direct or indirect, on the outer panel , and at least one base of the "U", connecting the first side and the second side, extends at a non-zero distance from the exterior opening lever when the exterior panel is not deformed.
- the first panel may include the first contact surface.
- the first face may have an inclination a relative to the base, in particular an inclination of between 15 and 40°, or even between 20 and 30°.
- the opening may comprise at least one hindrance member configured to block movement of the blocking means along a third direction, orthogonal to the first direction and to the second direction, in the event of an impact deforming the exterior panel, the hindrance member being configured to come into contact with a second contact surface of the blocking means, distinct from the first contact surface.
- the second contact surface may extend at least partially opposite the first contact surface along the third direction.
- the hindrance member may be arranged so that, in the event of an impact deforming the outer panel, the blocking means is at least partly interposed between the outer opening lever and the hindrance member along the third direction.
- the opening may include a belt reinforcement extending at least in part between the outer panel and the inner panel, the blocking means being integral with the belt reinforcement.
- the blocking means can be attached and fixed by gluing and/or screwing and/or welding on the belt reinforcement on the one hand and on the outer panel on the other hand.
- the invention also relates to a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, characterized in that it comprises an opening, in particular a front side door, according to one of the preceding claims.
- Figure 1 is a schematic view of a vehicle according to one embodiment.
- Figure 2 is a schematic side view of a left side opening of the vehicle, comprising a locking means of a lock in the event of an impact.
- Figure 3 is a schematic cross-sectional side view of the sash.
- Figure 4 is a schematic representation of the opening shown in Figure 3 in the event of an impact.
- Figure 5 is a top view of the opening.
- Figure 6 is a perspective view of the interior of the opening.
- FIG. 1 schematically illustrates an embodiment of a vehicle 1, in particular a motor vehicle 1.
- vehicle 1 comprises at least one opening 2, preferably of the lateral type.
- opening 2 is a front side door.
- the opening 2 described below is the front left side door of the vehicle 1, it is nevertheless understood that such a representation is in no way limiting.
- the direction in which a motor vehicle 1 moves in a straight line is defined as being the longitudinal direction X.
- the forward direction corresponds to the direction in which the motor vehicle 1 usually moves along the longitudinal direction and is opposite to the rear direction.
- the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and located in a plane parallel to the ground is called the transverse direction Y.
- the direction perpendicular to the directions X and Y is called vertical direction Z.
- the term "interior” means the side closest to the interior of the passenger compartment of the vehicle 1.
- the term “exterior” means the side opposite to the interior of the vehicle. passenger compartment, that is to say the closest to an environment outside the vehicle 1 along the direction Y.
- the term “lower” means the side closest to the ground on which the vehicle 1 is resting and “upper” means the side furthest from the ground or highest along the Z direction.
- the opening 2 comprises a box comprising at least one exterior panel 21 and an interior panel, not shown.
- panels can be made of aluminum alloy sheet or steel sheet.
- the opening 2 comprises an external opening control 23.
- the external opening control 23 can be at least partially fixed on the external panel 21.
- the external opening control 23 can comprise , according to non-limiting examples, a handle mounted to pivot, in particular around a substantially horizontal axis or around a substantially vertical axis, a push button and/or a detection surface of a hand or even a finger.
- the exterior opening control 23 is capable of communicating with an electronic object such as a key, a card, a badge or even a telephone making it possible to activate the exterior opening control 23.
- the opening 2 comprises a lock 24.
- the lock 24 can be at least partially fixed to the interior panel of the opening 2. It comprises an exterior opening lever 25 configured to be moved, under the effect of a request to open sash 2 on the control external opening 23, between a rest position, illustrated in solid lines in Figures 2 and 3, and a release position, illustrated in linked dotted lines. In the rest position, the lever 25 blocks the lock 24. Consequently, in the rest position of the lever 25, if the opening 2 is in the closed position, the opening 2 is blocked closed. In the release position, the lever 25 releases the lock 24. Consequently, in the release position of the lever 25, if the leaf is in the closed position, the lever 25 for external opening releases the lock 24 so as to allow the opening of the sash 2.
- the exterior opening lever 25 is pivotally mounted about a pivot axis 250 extending longitudinally or substantially longitudinally when the opening 2 is closed.
- the lever 25 extends in the rest position and / or in the release position and / or in any intermediate position between said positions and in the direction of the outer panel 21 in the closed position of the opening 2, a free end 251 of lever 25 being moved within the box.
- the free end 251 extends projecting, for example relative to a housing 241 or structure containing or covering 2 the lock 24.
- the free end 251 of the lever 25 pivots clockwise and rises to pass from the rest position to the release position. Conversely, to pass from the release position to the rest position, the lever 25 pivots in the anti-clockwise direction, so as to descend. According to a variant embodiment not shown of another embodiment of the lock, the lever pivots counter-clockwise and descends to pass from the rest position to the release position. Conversely, to pass from the release position to the rest position, the lever pivots clockwise, so as to go up.
- the opening 2 preferably comprises a mechanism or system 26 for transmitting a movement and/or information between the external opening control 23 and the lever 25 of the lock 24 allowing the movement of this last between the rest position and the release position in particular.
- the transmission system 26 may comprise one or more rods, not shown, and/or at least one cable 261 associated with at least one sheath visible in Figure 3.
- the opening 2 comprises a belt reinforcement 27 which extends at least partly in the box, between the outer panel 21 and the inner panel along the transverse direction Y.
- the outer panel 21 is not shown for clarity, these figures illustrate a sectional view taken along an axis A, shown in Figure 6.
- the lock is not shown in order to make visible the locking means.
- the belt reinforcement 27 extends for example longitudinally or substantially longitudinally in the closed position of the door. Depending on the vehicles considered, the belt reinforcement 27 may also extend opposite or substantially opposite the exterior opening control 23 in the transverse direction Y.
- the belt reinforcement 27 is arranged and/or shaped so as not to interfere with the movements of the lever under normal conditions.
- the belt reinforcement 27 extends at a non-zero distance from a trajectory or a zone of movement of the lever 25. It can in particular be offset, along the transverse direction Y and/or vertical Z relative to the lever 25.
- the opening 2 also comprises a means 3 for blocking the movement, in particular the pivoting, of the lever 25.
- the blocking means 3 is fixed, or substantially fixed, with respect to the opening 2, in particular with respect to the outer panel 21 , when the opening 2 is in normal condition, that is to say when the opening 2 is not deformed by a shock.
- the blocking means 3 is in particular at least partly arranged, directly and/or indirectly, on the outer panel 21 and is shaped so as to extend towards the inner panel.
- the blocking means 3 is shaped in a metallic material, for example in folded sheet metal, in particular in sheet steel or aluminum alloy.
- the blocking means 3 is at least partially shaped in foam, preferably in rigid foam, in particular polystyrene.
- rigid foam we mean for example that it is difficult to compress.
- the blocking means 3 can be secured to the belt reinforcement 27.
- the blocking means 3 is attached and fixed by gluing and/or screwing and/or welding to the belt reinforcement 27 of a hand and / or on the outer panel 21 on the other hand.
- the locking means 3 is fixed by screwing or welding in at least one point on the belt reinforcement 27 so that it is an integral part of the reinforcement.
- the locking means 3 is preferably fixed by gluing at at least one distinct point on the outer panel 21.
- the fixing by gluing of the locking means 3 on the outer panel 21 is for example ensured by means of an adhesive and/or or by means of an adhesive, for example of the “double-sided” type, as illustrated.
- the use of bonding on the exterior panel 21 aims in particular to preserve the aesthetics and the exterior design of the vehicle 1 .
- only the gluing on the exterior panel 21 ensures the fixing of the bonding means, no particular fixing then being made at the level of the belt reinforcement 27.
- Such an arrangement advantageously prevents the generation of noise due to vibrations of the locking means 3 relative to the outer panel 21, in particular when the longitudinal speed of the vehicle 1 increases.
- the locking means 3 and the belt reinforcement 27 are made in one piece.
- the blocking means 3 can then at least partly be held directly fixed relative to the outer panel 21 by gluing.
- the blocking means 3 is configured so as to block the movement of the lever 25 for external opening before the latter reaches the release position, or substantially the release position, in the event of an impact deforming the exterior panel 21.
- the blocking means 3 is configured to hinder the trajectory of the lever 25 for external opening between its rest position and its release position, as explained further below.
- a considered shock can be a lateral shock carried out along along a first direction Y1 , which can be parallel to the direction Y.
- the locking means 3 has a concave structure relative to the outer panel 21 and/or to the belt reinforcement 27.
- the assembly formed by the locking means 3 and the outer panel 21 thus defines a hollow shape in which an outer surface 301 of the locking means 3, facing the outer panel 21, extends at least partially at a non-zero distance from said panel.
- at least a part of the blocking means 3 extends projecting from the outer panel 21 and has an offset D, along the first direction Y1, in particular towards the inner panel.
- Such a shift D is in particular evaluated between the outer panel 21 and a point of the most distant blocking means 3 along the first direction Y1.
- the locking means then extends projecting from the outer panel 21 and from the belt reinforcement 27 and has, along the first direction Y1, an offset D relative to the outer panel 21 and an offset D′ relative to the waistband reinforcement 27 .
- the offset D is greater than 15 mm, it may in particular be between 20 and 75 mm.
- the offset D is a function of a predefined gap 28 between the end of the lever 25 and the locking means 3, so as not to hinder the movement of the lever.
- the integrity of the locking means 3 is essential to its function during an impact, so that the distance D is preferably constant during the compression of the door following a side impact.
- the offset D' is greater than 10 mm, it may in particular be between 15 and 50 mm. In this way, the blocking means 3 can stop the lever 25 quickly after the start of the impact against the outer panel 21 .
- the locking means 3 has at least a first contact surface 31 intended to come into contact with the external opening lever 25 when the external panel 21 is deformed and intended to extend transversely to the movement path of the lever 25 external opening before the lever 25 reaches the release position, or substantially the release position.
- the blocking means 3 interrupts the movement of the lever 25 at the level of an intermediate position, or alternatively at the level of the rest position.
- the first contact surface 31 thus corresponds to a surface at the level of which, on the basis of different types of modeled shocks, in particular lateral shocks, a part of the lever 25, for example the free end 251 of the lever 25, abuts .
- the blocking means 3 extends at least partly opposite the lever 25 for internal opening along the first direction Y1 and along a second direction X1, orthogonal to the first direction Y1.
- the second direction X1 is parallel to the longitudinal direction X of the vehicle 1.
- the blocking means 3 extends at least opposite the pivot axis 250 of the lever 25 along the first direction Y1.
- the first surface 31 extends along the second direction X1, that is to say along the direction the longitudinal direction X, when the opening 2 is closed.
- the first contact surface 31 is positioned at the level of the lever 25 in the longitudinal direction when the leaf is closed. This location allows the surface to form an abutment for the lever 25 regardless of the deformations of the outer panel 21 and/or the belt reinforcement 27.
- the first contact surface 31 is included in an end portion, in particular a rear end portion, of the locking means 3 along the second direction X1.
- “Extremal” means that such a portion comprises an edge 32 delimiting the blocking means 3 along at least one direction, in this case along the longitudinal direction X.
- the blocking means 3 has a dimension 350, along the second direction X1, of less than 300 mm, in particular less than 200 mm, or even less than 150 mm, for example of the order of 80 mm.
- the dimension 350 considered is in particular defined between two opposite edges 32 delimiting the blocking means 3 along the second direction X1. The size generated as well as the additional weight embedded are thus limited in contrast to conventional blocking means.
- the first surface 31 also has, along the second direction X1, a dimension greater than 30 mm, for example a dimension between 40 and 100 mm, or even of the order of 60 mm_The first surface 31 is offset longitudinally towards the front of the lever 25 over a distance of at least 30 mm and towards the rear of the lever 25 over a distance of at least 10 mm.
- Figures 2 to 6 illustrate an embodiment of the particular blocking means 3 in which the blocking means 3 comprises a "U” or substantially “U” profile.
- the locking means 3 comprises a first panel 33 and a second panel 34, which form arms of the "U", and at least one base 35 of the "U", connecting the first panel 33 and the second panel 34 to each other.
- the first and second sides thus extend on the same side of the base el along the first direction X1 when the blocking means 3 is positioned in the opening.
- the connection zones between the base 35 and the different sections 33, 34 have a rounded shape.
- the base 35 extends at a non-zero distance from the exterior opening lever 25 when the exterior panel 21 is not deformed and is interposed between the first panel 33 and the second panel 34, on the one hand, and the lever 25 , on the other hand, along the first direction Y1 .
- At least one of the first panel 33 or of the second panel 34 carries a lug 36 for fixing the blocking means 3, directly or indirectly, to the outer panel 21 .
- the first panel 33 carries a first leg 361 and the second panel 34 carries a second leg 362.
- the first leg 361 is fixed by gluing directly to the outer panel 21 .
- the second leg 362 is fixed by screwing onto the belt reinforcement 27, itself mounted on the outer panel 21.
- the belt reinforcement 27 comprises at least one fixing screw intended to pass right through the blocking means 3, in particular at the level of its fixing lug 36.
- the first face 33 includes the first surface 31 of contact.
- the first face 33 here corresponds to the face of the blocking means 3 having the lowest position, that is to say the closest to the ground.
- the first face 33 can advantageously have an inclination a relative to the base 35. In particular such an inclination a is between 15 and 40°, or even between 20 and 30°.
- the positioning of the blocking means 3 relative to the lever 25 can be optimized along the first direction Y1.
- the locking means 3 can be arranged so that a point of an inner surface 302 of locking means 3, opposite to the outer surface 301 and facing the inner panel of the opening 2, closest to the lever 25 extends, along the first direction Y1, at a distance less than 20 mm, in particular at a distance less than 15 mm, for example between 3 and 10 mm from the free end 251 of the lever 25 when the latter is in the release position.
- a distance is here represented by the gap 28.
- the opening 2 can also comprise a hindrance member 4 of the blocking means 3.
- the hindrance member 4 is configured to block a movement of the blocking means 3 along a third direction Z1, orthogonal to the first direction Y1 and to the second direction X1, in the event of an impact deforming the outer panel 21.
- said third direction Z1 is parallel to the vertical direction Z.
- the hindrance member 4 aims to limit movement of the blocking means 3 upwards.
- a movement of the blocking means 3 upwards is likely, according to the importance of such a movement, either to prevent the blocking of the lever 25, or to delay such a blocking, in particular to the point that the blocking is carried out at the level of the release position, substantially at the level of the release position, or beyond the latter, which would cause the opening of the leaf 2.
- the hindrance member 4 is configured to form an abutment for a second contact surface 37 of the blocking means 3, distinct from the first contact surface 31 so as to limit the displacement of the blocking means 3 along the direction vertical Z.
- the second contact surface 37 extends at least partly opposite the first contact surface 31 along the third direction Z1. In this case, the second contact surface 37 is included in the second face 34 of the locking means 3.
- the hindrance member 4 extends at least partly opposite the lever 25 for external opening along the third direction Z1, in particular facing the free end 251 of the lever 25 when the latter extends in the release position.
- the hindrance member 4 is arranged so that, in the event of an impact deforming the outer panel 21, the locking means 3 is moved so as to be at least partly interposed between the lever 25 for external opening and the hindrance member 4 along the third direction Z1.
- the hindrance member 4 has a higher positioning, along the third direction Z1 and therefore the vertical direction, than that of the lever 25 for external opening in order to prevent the blocking means 3 from rising.
- the hindrance member 4 extends along the second direction X1 when the opening 2 is closed, in particular at least over a dimension greater than 20 mm. Also, the hindrance member 4 extends at least in part at the level of the lever 25 and the blocking means 3 along the second direction X1. Preferably, the hindrance member 4 is positioned above the lever 25 over at least a distance of 10 mm along the second direction X1, on either side of this plumb.
- the hindrance member 4 may comprise a lock reinforcement 41, usually used for fixing and positioning the lock 24 during the assembly of the opening 2, part of the lock 24 , for example the housing 241 or a fixing thereof, or a sheet metal element mounted within the opening 2 and extending into the box.
- a lock reinforcement 41 usually used for fixing and positioning the lock 24 during the assembly of the opening 2, part of the lock 24 , for example the housing 241 or a fixing thereof, or a sheet metal element mounted within the opening 2 and extending into the box.
- the hindrance member 4 comprises the lock reinforcement 41.
- the hindrance member 4 is attached and mounted within the casing of the opening 2.
- the hindrance member 4 and the lock 24 are mounted on the same panel.
- the hindrance member 4 is mounted on the inner panel and extends towards the outer panel 21, the panel interior being the least likely to be impacted, or to a lesser extent, in the event of an impact.
- the lock reinforcement 41 comprises an "L"-shaped appendage 42, one end segment of which is configured to form an abutment for the locking means 3.
- the term "segment" here means part of a whole.
- the end segment can be a straight, curved or angled part. In particular, the extreme segment extends along the longitudinal direction when the opening 2 is closed.
- the hindrance member 4 comprises at least one lower edge 43, that is to say the closest to the ground, straight and able to come into contact with the blocking means 3, in particular the second surface 37 contact.
- a border 43 is included in the extreme segment of the appendage 42 and extends along the second direction X1.
- the second contact surface 37 can be included in one of the end portions of the locking means 3.
- the second contact surface 37 may be included in the rear end portion of the blocking means 3 so that the first contact surface 31 and the second surface 37 are included in the rear end portion of the blocking means 3 along the second direction X1 .
- the second contact surface 37 may be included in an opposite front end portion of the locking means 3.
- the second surface 37 may have, along the second direction X1 , a dimension greater than 30 mm, for example a dimension between 40 and 100 mm, or even of the order of 60 mm.
- the second panel 34 has an inclination [3 relative to the base 35, in particular an inclination [3 of between 15 and 40°, or even between 20 and 30°.
- the second panel 34 is also inclined relative to the first panel 33.
- Such an inclination aims in particular to direct the blocking means 3 towards a position suitable for blocking the lever 25 if the blocking means 3 comes to move along the third direction Z1, here along the vertical direction Z.
- the appendage 42 of the hindrance member 4 can also advantageously have an inclination relative to the edge 43 and to the third direction Z1, so that the blocking means 3 can be guided during a shock.
- the outer panel 21 deforms by bending. As a result, the outer panel 21 approaches the inner panel.
- the locking means 3 is then positioned transversely to the path of the lever 25 exterior opening. Specifically, the first contact surface 31 comes to form abutment of the free end 251 of the lever 25 before the latter reaches the release position, for example at the level of the rest position or at the level of an intermediate position, in particular in the vicinity of the rest position.
- the blocking means 3 quickly interrupts the movement of the lever 25 due to its positioning and its shape.
- the lever 25 is then blocked and unable to move into its release position.

Description
TITLE: Vehicle opening comprising a means of blocking the lock in the event of an impact.
The invention relates to an opening for a vehicle comprising a means of blocking the lock in the event of an impact. The invention also relates to a vehicle comprising such an opening.
A vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, conventionally comprises at least one opening, in particular at least one front side door, equipped with an exterior opening control. The exterior opening control is generally arranged on an exterior panel of the door concerned and comprises a gripping means such as a handle controlling a lock. The lock can be arranged on an interior panel of the door concerned and includes an exterior opening lever. An action on the handle causes, by means of a cable or rod movement transmission system, a pivoting of the external opening lever of the lock, the effect of which is to release the lock and consequently to open the door.
However, during an impact, for example a side impact on a side door, the exterior opening lever of the lock is pivoted to its position releasing the lock, which has the effect of opening the door. Indeed, due to various parasitic phenomena generated by the impact, such as for example a deformation and/or a displacement of the handle, a deformation and/or a displacement of the transmission system, as well as the inertia of certain elements, the exterior opening lever of the lock swings open unexpectedly. Such an inopportune opening of the door is dangerous and is contrary to regulatory requirements. It is thus desirable for a door deformed by an impact to remain closed in order to ensure its function of protecting the occupants of the vehicle. In this sense, it is known to integrate into the opening an active stiffener which extends from the front to the rear of the door and is provided with an active zone vis-à-vis the lock, in particular in the form of a hook, which enters the volume of movement of the lever in the event of deformation of the opening and blocks the lock. Such active stiffeners have the disadvantage of being bulky, making them sometimes unsuitable in the presence of elements of the opening such as a belt reinforcement, and heavy, which affects the mass of the vehicle and its consumption. Furthermore, it has been observed that, in certain situations, the active stiffener is displaced by the shock in such a way that it is rendered ineffective, for example because it rises outside the zone of movement of the lever.
The present invention falls within this context and aims to provide a vehicle opening remedying the above drawbacks. In particular, the invention proposes an opening for a motor vehicle, in particular a side door, comprising an exterior panel, facing the outside of the vehicle, an interior panel, an exterior opening control of the opening, in particular at least partially fixed on the exterior panel, a lock, in particular at least partially fixed on the interior panel, the lock comprising an exterior opening lever of the lock configured to be moved, under the effect of a request to open the opening on the exterior opening control, between a rest position in which the exterior opening lever blocks the lock and a release position in which the exterior opening lever releases the lock so as to allow the opening of the sash, The sash further comprises a means for blocking the movement of the exterior opening lever:
véhicule ; - the blocking means extends at least partly opposite the interior opening lever along a first direction, transverse to the opening of the vehicle, and along a second direction, orthogonal to the first direction and in particular parallel to a longitudinal direction of the vehicle ;
- le moyen de blocage est disposé au moins en partie disposé sur le panneau extérieur et présente une structure concave, relativement au panneau extérieur, s’étendant vers le panneau intérieur de sorte à bloquer le déplacement du levier d’ouverture extérieure le long d’une trajectoire comprise entre la position de repos et la position de libération avant que celui-ci n’atteigne la position de libération en cas de choc déformant le panneau extérieur, notamment en cas de choc latéral réalisé le long d’au moins une première direction ; - the blocking means is disposed at least in part disposed on the outer panel and has a concave structure, relative to the outer panel, extending towards the inner panel so as to block the movement of the outer opening lever along a trajectory between the rest position and the release position before the latter reaches the release position in the event of an impact deforming the outer panel, in particular in the event of a side impact carried out along at least a first direction ;
- the blocking means has at least a first contact surface intended to form an abutment of the exterior opening lever and configured to extend transversely to the path of movement of the exterior opening lever when the exterior panel is deformed.
The blocking means may have a dimension, along the second direction, of less than 300 mm, in particular less than 200 mm, or even less than 150 mm.
The first contact surface may be included in an end portion, in particular a rear end portion, of the blocking means along the second direction.
The blocking means may comprise a "U" or substantially "U" shaped profile. A first panel and a second panel of the blocking means form arms of the "U", at least one of the first panel or the second panel can carry a bracket for fixing the blocking means, direct or indirect, on the outer panel , and at least one base of the "U", connecting the first side and the second side, extends at a non-zero distance from the exterior opening lever when the exterior panel is not deformed. The first panel may include the first contact surface. The first face may have an inclination a relative to the base, in particular an inclination of between 15 and 40°, or even between 20 and 30°.
The opening may comprise at least one hindrance member configured to block movement of the blocking means along a third direction, orthogonal to the first direction and to the second direction, in the event of an impact deforming the exterior panel, the the hindrance member being configured to come into contact with a second contact surface of the blocking means, distinct from the first contact surface.
The second contact surface may extend at least partially opposite the first contact surface along the third direction.
The hindrance member may be arranged so that, in the event of an impact deforming the outer panel, the blocking means is at least partly interposed between the outer opening lever and the hindrance member along the third direction.
The opening may include a belt reinforcement extending at least in part between the outer panel and the inner panel, the blocking means being integral with the belt reinforcement.
In particular, the blocking means can be attached and fixed by gluing and/or screwing and/or welding on the belt reinforcement on the one hand and on the outer panel on the other hand.
The invention also relates to a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, characterized in that it comprises an opening, in particular a front side door, according to one of the preceding claims. Other details, characteristics and advantages will emerge more clearly on reading the detailed description given below, by way of indication and not limitation, in relation to the various embodiments illustrated in the following figures:
Figure 1 is a schematic view of a vehicle according to one embodiment.
Figure 2 is a schematic side view of a left side opening of the vehicle, comprising a locking means of a lock in the event of an impact.
Figure 3 is a schematic cross-sectional side view of the sash.
Figure 4 is a schematic representation of the opening shown in Figure 3 in the event of an impact.
Figure 5 is a top view of the opening.
Figure 6 is a perspective view of the interior of the opening.
Figure 1 schematically illustrates an embodiment of a vehicle 1, in particular a motor vehicle 1. The vehicle 1 comprises at least one opening 2, preferably of the lateral type. In particular, opening 2 is a front side door. For clarity, the opening 2 described below is the front left side door of the vehicle 1, it is nevertheless understood that such a representation is in no way limiting.
By convention in the description below, the direction in which a motor vehicle 1 moves in a straight line is defined as being the longitudinal direction X. The forward direction corresponds to the direction in which the motor vehicle 1 usually moves along the longitudinal direction and is opposite to the rear direction. The direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and located in a plane parallel to the ground is called the transverse direction Y. The direction perpendicular to the directions X and Y is called vertical direction Z. Thus, a direct coordinate system XYZ represented in the figures requiring it is defined.
In the same way, the term "exterior" means the side opposite to the interior of the vehicle. passenger compartment, that is to say the closest to an environment outside the vehicle 1 along the direction Y. Finally, the term "lower" means the side closest to the ground on which the vehicle 1 is resting and "upper" means the side furthest from the ground or highest along the Z direction.
The opening 2 comprises a box comprising at least one exterior panel 21 and an interior panel, not shown. For example, such panels can be made of aluminum alloy sheet or steel sheet.
As illustrated, the opening 2 comprises an external opening control 23. Preferably, the external opening control 23 can be at least partially fixed on the external panel 21. The external opening control 23 can comprise , according to non-limiting examples, a handle mounted to pivot, in particular around a substantially horizontal axis or around a substantially vertical axis, a push button and/or a detection surface of a hand or even a finger. Optionally, the exterior opening control 23 is capable of communicating with an electronic object such as a key, a card, a badge or even a telephone making it possible to activate the exterior opening control 23.
Also, the opening 2 comprises a lock 24. The lock 24 can be at least partially fixed to the interior panel of the opening 2.
In particular, the exterior opening lever 25 is pivotally mounted about a pivot axis 250 extending longitudinally or substantially longitudinally when the opening 2 is closed. Preferably, the lever 25 extends in the rest position and / or in the release position and / or in any intermediate position between said positions and in the direction of the outer panel 21 in the closed position of the opening 2, a free end 251 of lever 25 being moved within the box. The free end 251 extends projecting, for example relative to a housing 241 or structure containing or covering 2 the lock 24.
In the example shown, the free end 251 of the lever 25 pivots clockwise and rises to pass from the rest position to the release position.
The term “request to open the opening” is understood here to mean an action or an effort exerted by a user to actuate the opening control exterior 23 and, consequently, the lock 24. The opening request can, for example, be a pivoting or pulling of a handle, pressing a push button or touching a surface depending on the types of exterior opening controls mentioned above. In this sense, the opening 2 preferably comprises a mechanism or system 26 for transmitting a movement and/or information between the external opening control 23 and the lever 25 of the lock 24 allowing the movement of this last between the rest position and the release position in particular. For example, the transmission system 26 may comprise one or more rods, not shown, and/or at least one cable 261 associated with at least one sheath visible in Figure 3.
Optionally but preferably, as illustrated in Figures 1 to 6, the opening 2 comprises a belt reinforcement 27 which extends at least partly in the box, between the outer panel 21 and the inner panel along the transverse direction Y. In Figures 3 and 4, the outer panel 21 is not shown for clarity, these figures illustrate a sectional view taken along an axis A, shown in Figure 6. In the Figure 6, the lock is not shown in order to make visible the locking means. The belt reinforcement 27 extends for example longitudinally or substantially longitudinally in the closed position of the door. Depending on the vehicles considered, the belt reinforcement 27 may also extend opposite or substantially opposite the exterior opening control 23 in the transverse direction Y. In addition, the belt reinforcement 27 is arranged and/or shaped so as not to interfere with the movements of the lever under normal conditions. In other words, the belt reinforcement 27 extends at a non-zero distance from a trajectory or a zone of movement of the lever 25. It can in particular be offset, along the transverse direction Y and/or vertical Z relative to the lever 25. The opening 2 also comprises a means 3 for blocking the movement, in particular the pivoting, of the lever 25. The blocking means 3 is fixed, or substantially fixed, with respect to the opening 2, in particular with respect to the outer panel 21 , when the opening 2 is in normal condition, that is to say when the opening 2 is not deformed by a shock. The blocking means 3 is in particular at least partly arranged, directly and/or indirectly, on the outer panel 21 and is shaped so as to extend towards the inner panel.
Preferably, the blocking means 3 is shaped in a metallic material, for example in folded sheet metal, in particular in sheet steel or aluminum alloy. Alternatively, the blocking means 3 is at least partially shaped in foam, preferably in rigid foam, in particular polystyrene. By rigid foam, we mean for example that it is difficult to compress.
In particular, the blocking means 3 can be secured to the belt reinforcement 27. According to an embodiment, the blocking means 3 is attached and fixed by gluing and/or screwing and/or welding to the belt reinforcement 27 of a hand and / or on the outer panel 21 on the other hand. In this case, the locking means 3 is fixed by screwing or welding in at least one point on the belt reinforcement 27 so that it is an integral part of the reinforcement. The locking means 3 is preferably fixed by gluing at at least one distinct point on the outer panel 21. The fixing by gluing of the locking means 3 on the outer panel 21 is for example ensured by means of an adhesive and/or or by means of an adhesive, for example of the “double-sided” type, as illustrated. The use of bonding on the exterior panel 21 aims in particular to preserve the aesthetics and the exterior design of the vehicle 1 .
According to a variant embodiment, only the gluing on the exterior panel 21 ensures the fixing of the bonding means, no particular fixing then being made at the level of the belt reinforcement 27.
Such an arrangement advantageously prevents the generation of noise due to vibrations of the locking means 3 relative to the outer panel 21, in particular when the longitudinal speed of the vehicle 1 increases.
According to an alternative not shown, the locking means 3 and the belt reinforcement 27 are made in one piece. The blocking means 3 can then at least partly be held directly fixed relative to the outer panel 21 by gluing.
The blocking means 3 is configured so as to block the movement of the lever 25 for external opening before the latter reaches the release position, or substantially the release position, in the event of an impact deforming the exterior panel 21. In other words, the blocking means 3 is configured to hinder the trajectory of the lever 25 for external opening between its rest position and its release position, as explained further below. In particular, a considered shock can be a lateral shock carried out along along a first direction Y1 , which can be parallel to the direction Y.
The locking means 3 has a concave structure relative to the outer panel 21 and/or to the belt reinforcement 27. The assembly formed by the locking means 3 and the outer panel 21 thus defines a hollow shape in which an outer surface 301 of the locking means 3, facing the outer panel 21, extends at least partially at a non-zero distance from said panel. In other words, at least a part of the blocking means 3 extends projecting from the outer panel 21 and has an offset D, along the first direction Y1, in particular towards the inner panel. Such a shift D is in particular evaluated between the outer panel 21 and a point of the most distant blocking means 3 along the first direction Y1. When the vehicle includes a belt reinforcement 27, the locking means then extends projecting from the outer panel 21 and from the belt reinforcement 27 and has, along the first direction Y1, an offset D relative to the outer panel 21 and an offset D′ relative to the waistband reinforcement 27 .
The offset D is greater than 15 mm, it may in particular be between 20 and 75 mm. The offset D is a function of a predefined gap 28 between the end of the lever 25 and the locking means 3, so as not to hinder the movement of the lever. The integrity of the locking means 3 is essential to its function during an impact, so that the distance D is preferably constant during the compression of the door following a side impact. The offset D' is greater than 10 mm, it may in particular be between 15 and 50 mm. In this way, the blocking means 3 can stop the lever 25 quickly after the start of the impact against the outer panel 21 .
The locking means 3 has at least a first contact surface 31 intended to come into contact with the external opening lever 25 when the external panel 21 is deformed and intended to extend transversely to the movement path of the lever 25 external opening before the lever 25 reaches the release position, or substantially the release position. In other words, the blocking means 3 interrupts the movement of the lever 25 at the level of an intermediate position, or alternatively at the level of the rest position. The first contact surface 31 thus corresponds to a surface at the level of which, on the basis of different types of modeled shocks, in particular lateral shocks, a part of the lever 25, for example the free end 251 of the lever 25, abuts . The blocking means 3 extends at least partly opposite the lever 25 for internal opening along the first direction Y1 and along a second direction X1, orthogonal to the first direction Y1. In particular, the second direction X1 is parallel to the longitudinal direction X of the vehicle 1. Preferably, when the lever 25 is moved by pivoting, the blocking means 3 extends at least opposite the pivot axis 250 of the lever 25 along the first direction Y1.
Preferably also, the first surface 31 extends along the second direction X1, that is to say along the direction the longitudinal direction X, when the opening 2 is closed. Indeed, for optimal locking of the end of the lever 25 in the event of an impact, the first contact surface 31 is positioned at the level of the lever 25 in the longitudinal direction when the leaf is closed. This location allows the surface to form an abutment for the lever 25 regardless of the deformations of the outer panel 21 and/or the belt reinforcement 27.
In the illustrated embodiment, the first contact surface 31 is included in an end portion, in particular a rear end portion, of the locking means 3 along the second direction X1. “Extremal” means that such a portion comprises an edge 32 delimiting the blocking means 3 along at least one direction, in this case along the longitudinal direction X.
Advantageously, the blocking means 3 has a dimension 350, along the second direction X1, of less than 300 mm, in particular less than 200 mm, or even less than 150 mm, for example of the order of 80 mm. The dimension 350 considered is in particular defined between two opposite edges 32 delimiting the blocking means 3 along the second direction X1. The size generated as well as the additional weight embedded are thus limited in contrast to conventional blocking means.
Preferably, the first surface 31 also has, along the second direction X1, a dimension greater than 30 mm, for example a dimension between 40 and 100 mm, or even of the order of 60 mm_The first surface 31 is offset longitudinally towards the front of the lever 25 over a distance of at least 30 mm and towards the rear of the lever 25 over a distance of at least 10 mm.
Figures 2 to 6 illustrate an embodiment of the particular blocking means 3 in which the blocking means 3 comprises a "U" or substantially "U" profile. In particular, the locking means 3 comprises a first panel 33 and a second panel 34, which form arms of the "U", and at least one base 35 of the "U", connecting the first panel 33 and the second panel 34 to each other. . The first and second sides thus extend on the same side of the base el along the first direction X1 when the blocking means 3 is positioned in the opening. Preferably, the connection zones between the base 35 and the different sections 33, 34 have a rounded shape.
The base 35 extends at a non-zero distance from the exterior opening lever 25 when the exterior panel 21 is not deformed and is interposed between the first panel 33 and the second panel 34, on the one hand, and the lever 25 , on the other hand, along the first direction Y1 .
At least one of the first panel 33 or of the second panel 34 carries a lug 36 for fixing the blocking means 3, directly or indirectly, to the outer panel 21 . In this case, the first panel 33 carries a first leg 361 and the second panel 34 carries a second leg 362. As previously explained, the first leg 361 is fixed by gluing directly to the outer panel 21 . The second leg 362 is fixed by screwing onto the belt reinforcement 27, itself mounted on the outer panel 21. For this purpose, the belt reinforcement 27 comprises at least one fixing screw intended to pass right through the blocking means 3, in particular at the level of its fixing lug 36.
During a shock deforming the outer panel 21, it is essential to ensure, on the one hand, that the locking of the lever 25 of the outer opening is well implemented, but also that it is implemented quickly, that is to say, preferably at the rest position or at an intermediate position distant from the release position, for example closer to the rest position than to the release position. In addition, it is essential not to hinder the operation of the lever 25 for external opening under normal conditions, that is to say that the locking means 3 must not hinder or hinder the movement of the lever 25 when it there is no deformation of the outer panel 21 .
Also, the first face 33 includes the first surface 31 of contact. The first face 33 here corresponds to the face of the blocking means 3 having the lowest position, that is to say the closest to the ground. In order to optimize the moment at which the lever 25 is locked when an impact occurs and in order not to impede the trajectory, the first face 33 can advantageously have an inclination a relative to the base 35. In particular such an inclination a is between 15 and 40°, or even between 20 and 30°.
Also in this sense, the positioning of the blocking means 3 relative to the lever 25 can be optimized along the first direction Y1. In particular, the locking means 3 can be arranged so that a point of an inner surface 302 of locking means 3, opposite to the outer surface 301 and facing the inner panel of the opening 2, closest to the lever 25 extends, along the first direction Y1, at a distance less than 20 mm, in particular at a distance less than 15 mm, for example between 3 and 10 mm from the free end 251 of the lever 25 when the latter is in the release position. Such a distance is here represented by the gap 28.
Notamment, ladite troisième direction Z1 est parallèle à la direction verticale Z. Optionally but preferentially, the opening 2 can also comprise a hindrance member 4 of the blocking means 3. The hindrance member 4 is configured to block a movement of the blocking means 3 along a third direction Z1, orthogonal to the first direction Y1 and to the second direction X1, in the event of an impact deforming the outer panel 21. In particular, said third direction Z1 is parallel to the vertical direction Z.
In particular, the hindrance member 4 aims to limit movement of the blocking means 3 upwards. Indeed, in the example illustrated, a movement of the blocking means 3 upwards is likely, according to the importance of such a movement, either to prevent the blocking of the lever 25, or to delay such a blocking, in particular to the point that the blocking is carried out at the level of the release position, substantially at the level of the release position, or beyond the latter, which would cause the opening of the leaf 2.
The hindrance member 4 is configured to form an abutment for a second contact surface 37 of the blocking means 3, distinct from the first contact surface 31 so as to limit the displacement of the blocking means 3 along the direction vertical Z. The second contact surface 37 extends at least partly opposite the first contact surface 31 along the third direction Z1. In this case, the second contact surface 37 is included in the second face 34 of the locking means 3.
In this sense also, the hindrance member 4 extends at least partly opposite the lever 25 for external opening along the third direction Z1, in particular facing the free end 251 of the lever 25 when the latter extends in the release position.
Thus, the hindrance member 4 is arranged so that, in the event of an impact deforming the outer panel 21, the locking means 3 is moved so as to be at least partly interposed between the lever 25 for external opening and the hindrance member 4 along the third direction Z1. Here, the hindrance member 4 has a higher positioning, along the third direction Z1 and therefore the vertical direction, than that of the lever 25 for external opening in order to prevent the blocking means 3 from rising.
Preferably, the hindrance member 4 extends along the second direction X1 when the opening 2 is closed, in particular at least over a dimension greater than 20 mm. Also, the hindrance member 4 extends at least in part at the level of the lever 25 and the blocking means 3 along the second direction X1. Preferably, the hindrance member 4 is positioned above the lever 25 over at least a distance of 10 mm along the second direction X1, on either side of this plumb.
According to various non-limiting alternatives, the hindrance member 4 may comprise a lock reinforcement 41, usually used for fixing and positioning the lock 24 during the assembly of the opening 2, part of the lock 24 , for example the housing 241 or a fixing thereof, or a sheet metal element mounted within the opening 2 and extending into the box.
In this case, the hindrance member 4 comprises the lock reinforcement 41. The hindrance member 4 is attached and mounted within the casing of the opening 2. Preferably, the hindrance member 4 and the lock 24 are mounted on the same panel. Here, the hindrance member 4 is mounted on the inner panel and extends towards the outer panel 21, the panel interior being the least likely to be impacted, or to a lesser extent, in the event of an impact. The lock reinforcement 41 comprises an "L"-shaped appendage 42, one end segment of which is configured to form an abutment for the locking means 3. The term "segment" here means part of a whole. The end segment can be a straight, curved or angled part. In particular, the extreme segment extends along the longitudinal direction when the opening 2 is closed.
Preferably, the hindrance member 4 comprises at least one lower edge 43, that is to say the closest to the ground, straight and able to come into contact with the blocking means 3, in particular the second surface 37 contact. In this case, such a border 43 is included in the extreme segment of the appendage 42 and extends along the second direction X1.
Similar to what has been explained previously with reference to the first face 33 and to the first contact surface 31, the second contact surface 37 can be included in one of the end portions of the locking means 3. In particular, the second contact surface 37 may be included in the rear end portion of the blocking means 3 so that the first contact surface 31 and the second surface 37 are included in the rear end portion of the blocking means 3 along the second direction X1 . According to an alternative not shown, the second contact surface 37 may be included in an opposite front end portion of the locking means 3. Also, in addition or alternatively, the second surface 37 may have, along the second direction X1 , a dimension greater than 30 mm, for example a dimension between 40 and 100 mm, or even of the order of 60 mm.
In addition, optionally but preferably, the second panel 34 has an inclination [3 relative to the base 35, in particular an inclination [3 of between 15 and 40°, or even between 20 and 30°. The second panel 34 is also inclined relative to the first panel 33. Such an inclination aims in particular to direct the blocking means 3 towards a position suitable for blocking the lever 25 if the blocking means 3 comes to move along the third direction Z1, here along the vertical direction Z. The appendage 42 of the hindrance member 4 can also advantageously have an inclination relative to the edge 43 and to the third direction Z1, so that the blocking means 3 can be guided during a shock.
In this way, in normal operation, as illustrated in Figures 2 and 3, that is to say excluding shock or impact on the outer panel 21 of the opening 2, the lever 25 is moved freely, here in pivoting around the axis, via the transmission system 26 following a request on the external opening control 23. The blocking means 3 then does not hinder the movement of the lever 25 and extends at a distance non-zero of a free end 251 of the latter. The lever 25 moves freely between the rest position and the release position. In this case it rises freely beyond the first contact surface 31, for example until it extends opposite the base 35 along the first direction Y1. In other words, the first contact surface 31 is never found in contact with the free end 251 of the lever 25.
During an impact exerted along the first direction Y1 from the outside of the vehicle 1 towards the inside of the vehicle 1 against the outer panel 21 of the opening 2, represented by arrows in FIG. 4, the outer panel 21 deforms by bending. As a result, the outer panel 21 approaches the inner panel. The locking means 3, directly and/or indirectly mounted on the outer panel 21, approaches in the first direction Y1 of the inner panel as shown in FIG. 4. The locking means 3 is then positioned transversely to the path of the lever 25 exterior opening. Specifically, the first contact surface 31 comes to form abutment of the free end 251 of the lever 25 before the latter reaches the release position, for example at the level of the rest position or at the level of an intermediate position, in particular in the vicinity of the rest position. The blocking means 3 quickly interrupts the movement of the lever 25 due to its positioning and its shape. The lever 25 is then blocked and unable to move into its release position. The untimely opening of the lock 24, and consequently of the door, is prevented, despite the various factors or parasitic phenomena generated by the shock. In other words, in the event of impact, although these phenomena generate the equivalent of a request to open the door, and consequently a reaction of the lever 25 towards the release position, the locking means 3 stops the lever 25 In fact, in the event of deformation of the outer panel 21, the first contact surface 31 interferes with the start of the stroke of the end 41 at the level of the rest position or of an intermediate position.
Thus, the protection of the occupants is ensured by keeping the door closed following the impact. In the event of a side impact on a side door, the door does not open involuntarily, the blocking means counteracting the consequences of interference phenomena tending to open the door. The vehicle equipped with such a door then complies with the regulations and is therefore homologable.
The present invention thus proposes an opening comprising a blocking means mounted directly and/or indirectly on an outer panel of the opening. The proposed solution is advantageously light, which reduces the mass of the vehicle and limits its consumption. It is also compact and therefore does not affect the standard elements constituting the opening and can be applied to different vehicle models. Although the solution is particularly suitable for a side impact on a side door, in particular on a front side door, the solution can extend to a rear side door. Alternatively, the door may be a trunk door extending substantially vertically and transversely in the closed position, the solution making it possible to keep the trunk door closed in the event of a rear collision.
The present invention cannot however be limited to the means and configurations described and illustrated here and it also extends to any equivalent means or configuration and to any technically effective combination of such means insofar as they ultimately fulfill the functions described and illustrated. in this document.
