Definitions
- the invention relates to a padding part for padding an object to be packaged in an outer carton.
- the upholstery parts typically consist of at least one basic element, which is structured as follows: It consists of a base body in the form of a half-tube that opens at the bottom and at least two hump-shaped support elements that are placed on the outside of the half-tube, visibly facing each other there and on the outside of the base body with a height H above the high point on the inside of the protrude downwards from the half tube that is open.
- the opposing surface of the hump-shaped support elements and their transition to one another on the outside of the half-pipe, which is open at the bottom, are shaped in such a way that together they form a channel section which is open at the top.
- the entire upholstery part, in particular each of the basic elements is made in one piece with an average wall thickness from a waste paper fiber material; see applicant's website.
- the invention is based on the object of further developing such a known padding part and packaging with an outer carton and with said padding part such that the rigidity of the padding part is increased in a direction transverse to its longitudinal axis.
- the bottom is on the inside of the top opened channel section by the distance h with h> as the simple wall thickness of the padding part or the base element from the high point H1 on the inside of the half-pipe open at the bottom.
- the claimed design of the distance h offers the advantage that it significantly increases the rigidity of the base element and possibly also that of the cushion part, in particular in a direction transverse to its longitudinal axis L. Furthermore, the upholstery part according to the invention is not more expensive than styrofoam, but in contrast to styrofoam it can be recycled because it is made from waste paper.
- this rigidity is particularly good or large when the distance h is greater than or equal to twice the wall thickness.
- care should preferably be taken to ensure that the distance h is not selected to be greater than the height H, in order to ensure that the transition between the opposing support elements does not exceed the support elements themselves in terms of their height H above the high point H1.
- Such a basic element according to the invention can in principle be of any length, the length preferably being adapted to the length of the object to be packaged.
- a packaging for the object to be packaged having an outer carton and at least one padding part according to the invention inserted on an inner side of the outer carton on its bottom for defining and delimiting a Receiving space for the item to be packaged within the outer carton.
- figure 1 shows the padding part 100 ′ according to the invention for padding an object to be packaged in an outer carton, the padding part here consisting of only one basic element 100 .
- the basic element has a basic body in the form of a half-tube 110 open at the bottom, on the outside of which hump-shaped support elements 120 are attached, which are in pairs opposite one another and project upwards beyond the half-tube 110 which is open at the bottom.
- a transition 130 is formed between the opposing surfaces 122 of the hump-shaped support elements 120, which, together with the opposing surfaces 122 of the supporting elements 120, forms a channel section that is open at the top.
- a plurality of these pairs of support elements are arranged next to one another at preferably equidistant distances a along the longitudinal axis L of the half-pipe, which is open at the bottom.
- the entire in figure 1 Upholstery part shown, ie here the one basic element 100 is made with an average wall thickness W in one piece from a waste paper fiber material.
- the total width GB and the total length GL of the upholstered part of the basic element are also shown.
- the low point T can also be seen on the inside of the channel section 140 which is open towards the top.
- the viewing directions or views of the broad side, the long side and the top are marked with the arrows AB, AL and A0.
- the support elements 120 are each designed as hollow bodies and that the wall of the half-pipe, which is open at the bottom, is perforated in the area of the hollow support elements, so that the half-pipe, which is open at the bottom, and the support elements span a common cavity 112, which is open at the bottom. the one through remaining - not broken through Wall sections 114 of the downwardly open half-tube, which face each other in pairs, is limited.
- the design as a hollow body offers the advantage of weight savings and the stackability of the basic elements.
- figure 2 shows the basic element in its first embodiment according to FIG figure 1 in a perspective view from below. After the formation of the hollow support elements 120, only the wall sections 114 mentioned remain of the original half-tube. In figure 2 a high point H1 on the inside of the half-tube 110 can also be seen. In the "Normal View" according to figure 1 the high point H1 represents the apex; when looking at the bottom according to figure 2 the apex H1 logically symbolizes a low point of the half-pipe 110, which is open at the top.
- figure 3 illustrates again in its center a plan view of the figure 1 known basic element 100.
- the view to the left shows a section through the basic element at point III-III.
- To the right of the top view the view of the right end face of the basic element is shown.
- a section through the base element along the longitudinal axis L can be seen above the plan view.
- this sectional view also shows the low point T of the channel section 140, which is open at the top.
- a vertical distance h between the high point H1 and the low point T is also illustrated.
- this distance is greater than the simple wall thickness W, preferably it is greater than or equal to twice the wall thickness W, in order to sufficiently stabilize the upholstery part in a direction transverse to its longitudinal axis L for possible impact loads.
- the total height GH of the base element and the height H of the individual support elements above the high point H1 are also illustrated.
- the sectional view mentioned shows the distance a between adjacent pairs of the hump-shaped support elements in the longitudinal direction L of the basic element 100.
- FIG 4 finally illustrates a second exemplary embodiment for the basic element 100 according to the invention or the cushioning element 100′, which differs from the previously shown first exemplary embodiment in that a filling element 150 can be formed over the transition 130 between the opposing support elements 120.
- This filling element 150 typically connects the two opposing support elements to one another.
- such a filling element can also be formed on the underside of the base element between visibly opposite wall sections.
- the formation of the filling elements 150 advantageously causes a further stiffening of the basic element in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis L.
- the filling elements 150 are advantageously also formed as hollow bodies with the wall thickness W and at the same time the transition 130 as the bottom of the filling element is typically also perforated.
- the filling element is typically formed in one piece with the base body and the support elements with the same average wall thickness w from the same waste paper fiber material. When designed as a hollow body and in the form of a truncated pyramid, the filling elements 150 enable the basic element 100 to be easily stacked.
- figure 4 shows the filling element 150 in the form of a bulge 152.
- the filling element protrudes beyond the outside of the half-pipe, which is open at the bottom.
- it can also be realized in the form of a dent 154, as in figure 8 shown.
- As an indentation it protrudes into the cavity 112 spanned by the half-tube 110 which is open at the bottom.
- the bulges 152 and the indentations 154 can be formed alternately in the longitudinal direction L of the half-tube 110 open at the bottom; see also figure 8 .
- the filling element 150 can also be designed with a smooth, ie edge-free transition to the support elements and/or the transitions 130 .
- the filling elements 150 on the top of the base element 110 between the pairs of projecting support elements and / or the filling elements on the Underside of the base element between the pairs of opposing wall sections, not shown in the figures, can also be arranged alternately in the longitudinal direction of the base body 100 .
- figure 5 shows the second exemplary embodiment of the basic element 150 according to the invention figure 4 from underneath.
- figure 6 shows that figure 4 known basic element in a cross-sectional view cut in plane VI-VI. From figure 3 already known dimensions, such as h as the vertical distance between the high point H1 on the inside of the half tube 110 and the low point T on the upper side of the transitions 130, the height H of the individual support elements 120 above the high points H1 and the total height GH of the basic element 100 for that in the figures 4 and 6 shown second embodiment identical. Additionally in the figure 6 the height HF of the infill element 150 above the transition 130 is illustrated. The filling element 150 is also produced with the average wall thickness W. For the height HF, the following preferably, but not necessarily, applies: h+HF ⁇ HD h. optionally, the filling elements can protrude beyond the supporting elements.
- h the vertical distance between the high point H1 on the inside of the half tube 110 and the low point T on the upper side of the transitions 130
- the height H of the individual support elements 120 above the high points H1 and the total height GH of the basic element 100 for that in the figures
- figure 7 shows a third exemplary embodiment of the upholstery part 100' according to the invention, in which a plurality of basic elements 100, for example three in this case, are arranged parallel to one another.
- the entire upholstery part 100' is made in one piece from said waste paper fiber material.
- the filling elements 150 are here, as in the second embodiment according to Figures 4 - 6 each implemented in the form of a bulge 152, the bulge protruding beyond the outside of the half-pipe, which is open at the bottom.
- the third exemplary embodiment shown is also worth mentioning that the basic elements each stand up on the floor with their half-tubes open at the bottom and each abut one another with their longitudinal sides.
- the arrow AL shown shows the view or the view of the long side of one of the basic elements 100.
- figure 8 12 illustrates a fourth exemplary embodiment of the upholstery part 100' according to the invention, in the form of a basic element, with the filling elements 150 between the support elements 120 each being realized alternately in the form of a bulge 152 and a dent 154.
- This design of the filling elements also means an increase in the rigidity of the upholstery part in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis L.
- figure 9 illustrates a fifth exemplary embodiment for the upholstered part 100' according to the invention, with two basic elements 100 being connected to one another at a predetermined angle, here for example 90°, in order to form the corner element 160.
- the two connected basic elements 100 are shown standing on their wall sections 114 .
- the design of the corner element could also be realized in that the two basic elements 100 are connected to one another lying on their longitudinal sides.
- figure 10 illustrates a packaging 200 for a rectangular object 210, for example.
- the packaging according to the invention has a cuboid outer carton 220 and at least one cushioning part 100', according to the present invention, inserted on its inside on its base.
- the padding on the edges of the outer carton defines and delimits a receiving space 230 for receiving the object 210 to be packaged, preferably with a precise fit, within the outer carton 220.
- figure 10 shows that the padding elements 100′ according to the invention or the basic elements 100 according to the invention are used in various embodiments for packaging the object 210 . So they are used in the form of said corner elements 160 in the four corners of the outer carton 220 and on the long sides they can be used either as a simple basic element or in multiple parallel arrangement of individual basic elements can be used, depending on the outline of the item to be wrapped.
- FIG 10 also installed third embodiment of the upholstery part 110 'in accordance with the invention, in which three basic elements with parallel longitudinal axes are connected to each other here as an example, is in figure 11 shown enlarged in a modified form with four parallel basic elements as an example.
- the basic elements 100 are arranged parallel to one another in each case on their longitudinal sides or on their support points. They are then connected to one another either with their opposite wall elements 114 or with their opposite support elements 120 .
- FIG 7 known embodiment of the upholstery part 100' in which the basic elements 100, which are also arranged in parallel, are connected to one another there, as said, with their long sides facing one another.
- figure 12 shows a seventh exemplary embodiment of the upholstered part 100' or base element 100 according to the invention, in which two support elements 120 that are adjacent in the longitudinal direction L are connected to one another on the same side of the half-tube 110 via a rib element 170, and in which the rib element 170 extends a little in projects into the channel 140 which is open at the top.
- the rib elements 170 are preferably formed in the longitudinal direction L of the base element 100 alternately between two left-hand and two right-hand support elements 120 .
- the terms right-hand and left-hand refer to the direction of the longitudinal axis L, as in figure 12 shown.
- the two support elements 120 together with the rib element 170 arranged between them form a cavity.
- the rib elements 170 are also preferably designed to taper upwards, so that the figure 12 shown basic element is advantageously stackable.
- FIG figure 13 illustrates the seventh embodiment according to FIG figure 12 with a bottom view.
- the rib elements 170 can also be interpreted in the width direction as the original wall elements 114 turned up figures 12 and 13
- the support elements 170 only protrude as far as the middle of the channel section 140 that is open at the top.
- This ribbed element 170' on the underside typically also projects only halfway into the half-tube 110 in the width direction and then transitions into the ribbed element 170 on the upper side.
- the rib element 170' can be interpreted as a special form of the configuration of the original wall section 114.
- the rib elements 170' are preferably designed to taper downwards, so that the base element can also be stacked with these rib elements 170'.
- the rib elements 170 on the upper side and the rib elements 170' on the underside of the base element 100 can be arranged alternately in its longitudinal direction, as in FIGS figures 12 and 13 shown.
- FIG. 14 shows an eighth exemplary embodiment of the upholstery part according to the invention, in which at least some, preferably all, of the pairs of opposing support elements 120 are aligned and arranged in a V-shape at an acute angle ⁇ to the longitudinal axis of the strip-shaped upholstery part.
- the transition regions 130 and possibly also the filling elements 150 are preferably likewise V-shaped. If a plurality of support elements 120 lying opposite one another in pairs are formed adjacent to one another in the longitudinal direction L on the slat-shaped upholstery part, their V-shaped orientation preferably, but not necessarily, all points in the same direction. The same goes for them too V-shaped transition regions 130 and filler pieces 150. An orientation in the same direction offers the advantage that the support elements 120 can then be arranged more closely adjacent, for example overlapping or nested in one another.
- an occurring force F such as would act on the strip-shaped cushioning part transversely to its longitudinal direction, for example if the packaged object were dropped, advantageously does not occur directly passed through the packaged item.
- the V-shaped support elements 120 form a target crumple zone, which at least largely absorbs the acting forces due to its own deformations in the crease area and in the inner area of the cushion part.
- no damage is then caused to the packaged item.

Description
The invention relates to a padding part for padding an object to be packaged in an outer carton.
Such upholstery parts are known in principle in the prior art. The upholstery parts typically consist of at least one basic element, which is structured as follows:
It consists of a base body in the form of a half-tube that opens at the bottom and at least two hump-shaped support elements that are placed on the outside of the half-tube, visibly facing each other there and on the outside of the base body with a height H above the high point on the inside of the protrude downwards from the half tube that is open. The opposing surface of the hump-shaped support elements and their transition to one another on the outside of the half-pipe, which is open at the bottom, are shaped in such a way that together they form a channel section which is open at the top. The entire upholstery part, in particular each of the basic elements, is made in one piece with an average wall thickness from a waste paper fiber material; see applicant's website.
The invention is based on the object of further developing such a known padding part and packaging with an outer carton and with said padding part such that the rigidity of the padding part is increased in a direction transverse to its longitudinal axis.
This object is achieved for the claimed upholstery part by the subject matter of claim 1. Accordingly, the bottom is on the inside of the top opened channel section by the distance h with h> as the simple wall thickness of the padding part or the base element from the high point H1 on the inside of the half-pipe open at the bottom.
The claimed design of the distance h offers the advantage that it significantly increases the rigidity of the base element and possibly also that of the cushion part, in particular in a direction transverse to its longitudinal axis L. Furthermore, the upholstery part according to the invention is not more expensive than styrofoam, but in contrast to styrofoam it can be recycled because it is made from waste paper.
According to a first exemplary embodiment of the invention, this rigidity is particularly good or large when the distance h is greater than or equal to twice the wall thickness. At the same time, care should preferably be taken to ensure that the distance h is not selected to be greater than the height H, in order to ensure that the transition between the opposing support elements does not exceed the support elements themselves in terms of their height H above the high point H1.
Such a basic element according to the invention can in principle be of any length, the length preferably being adapted to the length of the object to be packaged.
The above object of the invention is further achieved by a packaging for the object to be packaged, this packaging having an outer carton and at least one padding part according to the invention inserted on an inner side of the outer carton on its bottom for defining and delimiting a Receiving space for the item to be packaged within the outer carton. The advantages of this solution to the problem correspond to the advantages mentioned above in relation to the claimed upholstery part.
Advantageous configurations of the claimed upholstery part and the claimed packaging are the subject matter of the dependent claims and can be combined with one another, insofar as this is technically feasible.
