Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a handle for doors and windows of the technical sector of the manufacture of windows or doors and ironwork thereof. More specifically, the object of the invention is a handle that encompasses a series of relative improvements that enable the frontal coupling of a base part together with a lever and a rotation shaft to a flange of a profile and to an anchor plate housed on the inside of the profile.
  • the configuration of the handle enables the use of said handle in a wide set of profiles of different widths and opening types, without hindering the operation or minimalist aesthetics of the handle, especially in PVC profiles.
  • the correct positioning of the rotation shaft is ensured in an initial clipping situation.
  • the rotational movement transmitted by the handle is transformed into a translational movement by mechanisms which can be both inside the profile in the form of a transmission box, and in the base of the handle in the form of a cremone, normally with rack and pinion systems.
  • handles which do not have a base that are known today are limited to a given number of window profiles, since in the various European channel profiles in which said handles are housed, the distance between the centre of the channel wherein the mechanism of the handle is housed and the flange of the profile defining the outer portion of the door or window sash varies, such that said known handles sometimes cannot be assembled in an already existing profile.
  • handles which have the base outside the profile present the drawback that the user comes in contact with the base of said handle when opening or closing said handle, making said operation uncomfortable, also making said base unsuitable if minimalist aesthetics are sought.
  • said mechanisms are very complex, with high production times and material costs.
  • Handles for doors and windows comprising a lever, a transmission mechanism arranged inside the profile of the door or window sash, and an anchor plate part arranged between a flange of the profile of the sash defining the outer portion of the door or window sash and the transmission mechanism for adapting the handle to different widths of the profile of the door or window sash, wherein said anchor plate part is able to laterally couple to the profile together with the transmission mechanism.
  • the present invention aims to solve the aforementioned problems. More specifically, the invention involves a handle for doors and windows intended to be linked to a transmission mechanism arranged on the inside of a profile, of a door or window sash, equipped with a flange comprising a die-cut.
  • the handle comprises a lever intended to be arranged on the outside of the profile, a rotation shaft limited by a perimeter surface equipped with a coupling end fastened to the lever and a free end intended to be coupled to the transmission mechanism and transmit a rotational movement from the lever to the transmission mechanism.
  • the handle comprises a base intended to be partially housed in the die-cut equipped with a central base cavity that houses the rotation shaft, and a first outer face facing the lever and a first inner face, an anchor plate intended to be coupled to the transmission mechanism and be arranged on the inside of the profile and which is linked to the base equipped with a central anchor plate cavity that partially houses the rotation shaft.
  • the handle additionally comprises a retaining bushing that is partially housed in the base part in the vicinity of the first inner face and wherein the bushing is able to rotate and is equipped with a second through cavity of complementary shape to the rotation shaft and that partially houses the rotation shaft and a radial groove that extends from the second cavity.
  • the handle comprises a compressible clipping element linked to the perimeter surface which, in an assembly situation, is housed in the groove in a decompressed position and retains the rotation shaft in a longitudinal direction.
  • the retention position of the handle never depends on the thickness of the profiles and the use thereof can be extended to PVC door or window profiles that have another range of dimensions completely different from that of standard aluminium profiles.
  • this invention being especially recommended for assembly on PVC profiles.
  • the handle of the present invention has important modifications so that it can be assembled in a wider range of profile and opening types, not being limited to European-type profiles and specially developed for PVC profiles.
  • the anchor plate is assembled on the transmission mechanism before assembling it on the sash profile, the assembling being quicker and easier, and subsequently, the base is assembled frontally.
  • the transmission mechanism is independent of the handle, whereby the handle can be assembled in any standard transmission mechanism on the market.
  • the fastening base part has a frontal assembly on the profile, such that the retention position in the insertion of the rotation shaft on the fastening base mechanism is a known position and it only depends on the design of the device by the manufacturer, always independent of the thickness of the profiles or the sash transmission mechanisms used.
  • the handle comprises a fastening cover that defines a first through cavity that houses the rotation shaft and is equipped with a second outer face fastened to the first inner face of the base and the base comprises a recess extending from the first inner face and comprises a diameter greater than the cross section of the first cavity, wherein the retaining bushing is housed in the recess.
  • the bushing is retained in a longitudinal direction of the base while maintaining its ability to rotate.
  • the perimeter surface comprises a housing and the clipping element is partially housed in the housing.
  • the clipping element is compressed by the surface that defines the central base cavity, and once the height of the groove has been reached, the clipping element is able to expand being housed in the groove.
  • the clipping element preferably consists of a spring housed in the housing and fastened at one of the two ends thereof to the rotation shaft and a pin fastened to an opposite end.
  • the retaining bushing has a first tubular protrusion, which borders the second cavity and is housed in the central base cavity such that it is more centred with respect to the central base cavity and unwanted play and deviation are avoided.
  • the tubular bushing comprises a tubular projection that extends in the opposite direction to the first tubular protrusion and borders the second cavity wherein the tubular projection is housed in the first cavity of the cover, centring the tubular bushing with respect to the cover.
  • the cover comprises a first indentation extending radially from the first cavity and the base comprises a second indentation facing the first indentation which extends radially from the recess; thus, if the clipping element is to be unclipped, the insertion of a fine tip that presses the clipping element compressing it and enabling the extraction thereof through the central base cavity is facilitated.
  • the anchor plate can comprise two lateral anchor plate through orifices and the base comprises two lateral base through orifices and the handle comprises at least two longitudinal fastening elements housed in respective lateral orifices that attach the anchor plate and the base and press them against the flange of the profile, the base and the anchor plate being attached to the flange of the profile, and therefore the transmission mechanism since the anchor plate is attached thereto.
  • the first inner face of the base can comprise two second tubular protrusions coaxial to the lateral base orifices, and the cover comprises lateral fastening orifices that house the tubular protrusions so as to ensure a correct attachment between cover and base, which preferably is by riveting.
