  • the travel of the elastic means, and therefore the distance of movement of the mobile unit towards the inside of the handle is preferably between 10 and 30 mm, more preferably between 15 and 25 mm and is even more preferred 20 mm.

  • the cleaning of the cutting head is facilitated by the fact that the cutting unit is further from the handle when it is at rest because it is pushed by the elastic means. It can therefore be passed more easily under water without wetting the rest of the mower. However, it is preferable that the cutting head be removable, in order to be detached from the rest of the clipper to allow more efficient cleaning.
  • the mower also includes a protective cover 7, to protect the engine block and limit the deposit of hair on the mobile unit and therefore the engine block.
  • the mower may also include means for adjusting the damping force of the elastic means 8 (not shown).
  • This can, for example, be a wheel on the handle of the mower which can be operated by the user in order to modify the stroke of the elastic means to modify the damping force. This allows the user to choose the damping force that best suits the type of beard trimming they practice. Setting a low damping stroke will increase the force needed to dampen skin contact and setting a high damping stroke will make the trimmer much more sensitive to pressure.
  • the mower is equipped with a mechanism for locking the cutting unit in at least one fixed position. The user can thus block the cutting head at a certain distance from the handle if he wishes to temporarily no longer use the mower's suspension function.
  • the trimmer of the present invention may also include a rechargeable battery, as shown in the figures.
  • the trimmer can thus be used cordlessly.
  • the mower can also be provided to operate only on the mains with a power cable, or else be provided with a combination of the two power supply modes (on the mains or on the battery).
