Definitions
- the present application relates to new salts, in particular for energetic ionic liquids, their preparation process and their uses.
- Energetic ionic liquids constitute a class of products of interest, due to their intrinsic properties (low vapor pressure, conductivity, etc.) which are favorable in certain applications. As a result, it was considered to use them, in particular as plasticizers, replacing the sensitive energetic plasticizers currently used, in particular nitric esters, such as in particular BTTN (1,2,4-butanetriol trinitrate) and TMETN. (trimethylolethane trinitrate).
- nitric esters have a high oxygen balance (OB).
- OB oxygen balance
- the oxygen balance of BTTN (calculated based on the formation of CO) is 10%.
- cations which could make it possible to prepare energetic salts comparable to BTTN, from the point of view of their oxygen balance, are generally derived from hydroxylammonium (HO-NH 3 + ), such as in particular the methoxylammonium cation (CH3 -0-NH3 + ).
- the present invention provides new energetic salts, the cation of which is derived from amino acid.
- the present application is aimed at new energetic salts corresponding to the formula C + A-, in which:
- C + is a cation derived from an amino acid
- A- is a nitrogenous energy anion chosen from anions derived from dinitramide, nitroform (NF), trinitroethanol (TNE), trinitroethylnitrocarbamate (TNENC), bistrinitroethylamine (BTNEA) and pyrroles, pyrazoles, imidazoles, triazoles and tetrazoles comprising at least one nitro group; said cation and said nitrogenous energetic anion being chosen such that the oxygen balance of the anion / cation pair, calculated as a function of the formation of CO, is greater than or equal to 0%.
- the term “cation derived from an amino acid” is understood to mean the compound whose positive charge is carried by the nitrogen atom characterizing the amino acid.
- amino acids capable of being used in the context of the invention are preferably chosen from proteinogenic amino acids.
- the aforementioned cation is derived from an amino acid chosen from aspartic acid, asparagine and glycine.
- the energetic anion can be of varied chemical nature and will preferably be chosen from the compounds capable of increasing the overall enthalpy of salt formation. In general, this energetic anion will be chosen from anions comprising at least two nitrogen atoms and at least one nitro group, preferably at least two nitro groups.
- the energy anion is chosen from anions derived from dinitramide (DN), from nitroform (NF), from trinitropyrazole (TNP), from trinitroethanol (TNE), from trinitroethylnitrocarbamate (TNENC), from bistrinitroethylamine (BTNEA), trinitromethyltetrazole, tetranitropyrrole.
- DN dinitramide
- NF nitroform
- TNP trinitropyrazole
- TNE trinitroethanol
- TNENC trinitroethylnitrocarbamate
- BNEA bistrinitroethylamine
- the cation and the nitrogenous energy anion will be chosen such that the oxygen balance of the anion / cation pair, calculated as a function of the formation of CO, is greater than or equal to 0%, preferably greater than or equal to 5%, more preferably greater than or equal to 9%.
- Preferred energetic salts in the context of the present application are in particular:
- glycinium dinitramide is currently preferred.
- the energetic salts in accordance with the invention can be prepared relatively easily.
- the present application aims to protect a process for preparing the energetic salts which have just been described, said process comprising:
- the amino acid hydrochloride is prepared by reacting the amino acid with hydrochloric acid at a temperature of between 40 and 60 ° C, for a period of between 1 hour 30 and 4 hours.
- the present application aims to cover the use of the salts which have just been described for the preparation of energetic liquids.
- these energetic liquids can be used as plasticizers in the manufacture of propellants.
- They can also be used as an oxidizing energy charge or additive (or improver) in propellants or explosives.
- Example 1 Synthesis of qlvcinium dinitramide Protocol a) Stage 1 of synthesis of qlvcinium hydrochloride In a 50mL three-necked flask fitted with a condenser under water, a temperature probe and magnetic stirring, at room temperature, it is introduced 10g of glycine (0.133mole) then 11.5ml_ of 37% HCl. The oil bath was heated to the temperature of 50 ° C for about 2 hours.
- the solid was then dried by adding isopropanol (up to 50 ml per gram of product), then by stirring the suspension obtained, then by evaporating to dryness using a rotary evaporator at a temperature of 40 ° C.
- a suspension was prepared containing 1.3g of Ag 2 0 (ie 5.6 millimoles) and 14g of water.
- the DNA solution on the resin was introduced into the column with the stopcock closed.
- the column was then opened in order to have a flow rate of one to two drops per second, which was introduced directly into the silver oxide solution placed under stirring.
- step 2 At room temperature and with stirring, the solution obtained in step 2 (all of it) was introduced dropwise.
- reaction medium was maintained under stirring at room temperature for 1 night, taking care to place the reactor in black (with Aluminum foil).
- reaction medium was filtered and then the solvent was evaporated on a rotary evaporator at 40 ° C. under 45mbar then 12mbar.
- a glass transition temperature Tg equal to -60 ° C; - a decomposition temperature equal to 149 ° C.
- the oxygen balance is calculated, in the usual way, and represents the mass percentage of oxygen released (value position) or absorbed (negative value) during the combustion reaction of a component.
- Example 2 Synthesis of asparaoinium trinitropyrazolate Protocol a) Step 1 of synthesis of asparaoinium hydrochloride In a 50mL three-necked flask fitted with a condenser under water, a temperature probe and magnetic stirring, at room temperature 10 g of asparagine (0.076mole) then 12mL of 37% HCl were introduced.

Description
C+ est un cation dérivé d'un acide aminé ;
- le dinitramidure de glycinium ; dont la balance en oxygène du couple anion/cation, calculée en fonction de la formation de CO est de 9 % ;
- le sel du nitroformiate d'asparticium ; dont la balance en oxygène du couple anion/cation, calculée en fonction de la formation de CO est de 6 % ;
- le trinitropyrazolate d'asparaginium ; dont la balance en oxygène du couple anion/cation, calculée en fonction de la formation de CO est de 0 % ;
- le dinitramidure d'asparaginium ; dont la balance en oxygène du couple anion/cation, calculée en fonction de la formation de CO est de 9 % ;
- le bis-trinitroéthylamidure de glycinium ; dont la balance en oxygène du couple anion/cation, calculée en fonction de la formation de CO est de 11 % ;
- la préparation d'un sel d'argent de l'anion énergétique ;
- la préparation d'un chlorhydrate de l'acide aminé ;
- une balance en oxygène calculée selon la formation de CO égale à 9% ;
- le sel du nitroformiate d'asparticium ; dont la balance en oxygène du couple anion/cation, calculée en fonction de la formation de CO est de 6 % ;
- le dinitramidure d'asparaginium ; dont la balance en oxygène du couple anion/cation, calculée en fonction de la formation de CO est de 9 % ;
- le bis-trinitroéthylamidure de glycinium ; dont la balance en oxygène du couple anion/cation, calculée en fonction de la formation de CO est de 11% ;
