Definitions

  • the invention relates to a pillow core for a head and neck support pillow, having a head rest top, on which three head rest troughs are arranged at a distance from one another and on which a human head can be placed at least indirectly, the head rest troughs being arranged at corners of an imaginary isosceles triangle and each one Pillow core has a central through hole penetrating in its height direction perpendicular to the top of the headrest, a shoulder side of the pillow core, which is arranged on a side of the base of the imaginary isosceles triangle opposite the tip of the imaginary isosceles triangle, having a recess which has a maximum depth at one has the middle point at which an imaginary middle straight line running through the tip of the imaginary isosceles triangle and standing perpendicular to the base intersects the shoulder side.
  • the invention also relates to a pillow core system for a head and neck support pillow.
  • Pillow cores for head and neck support pillows are increasingly being designed and manufactured with the anatomy of the human body in mind.
  • Such pillow cores are made, for example CN 109 199 011 A , CN 205 457 747 U , CN 206 761 254 U , CN 206 880 526 U , DE 696 15 715 T2 , US 5,018,231 A , US 8,566,985 B2 , US 10 455 957 B2 , WO 1998 020 779 A1 , WO 2020 177 191 A1 , EP 1 691 648 B1 , US 5,848,448 A and US 10 441 487 B1 known in various forms.
  • KR 2020 0 001 230 U reveals a pillow with a pressure relief effect on the head and neck.
  • the pillow has a pillow body with a head support part, a neck support part and two side support parts.
  • the neck support part is arranged higher than the head support part.
  • KR 2020 0001230 U discloses a pillow core according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the pillow core has the two head rest troughs arranged at the corners of the imaginary isosceles triangle, which are arranged at the base of the imaginary isosceles triangle, the side head rest trough arranged in a plan view of the head rest top of the pillow core to the left of the middle head rest trough for lateral support of the Head of a person in a right side position is used and the other side head storage trough is used to laterally support the head of a person in a left side position.
  • the side head storage troughs are arranged offset from the central head storage trough, namely at the corners of the imaginary isosceles triangle, which is arranged at the base of the imaginary isosceles triangle, while the middle head storage trough is arranged at the tip of the imaginary isosceles triangle.
  • the presence of the respective through hole on the respective head storage trough reduces the pressure acting on the head placed in the respective head storage trough.
  • the presence of the respective through hole on the respective side head rest recess results in pressure relief for the ear of the person lying on their side, which is in contact with the respective side head rest recess, which is particularly advantageous for people who suffer from the symptom tinnitus aurium.
  • by relieving pressure on the ear its blood supply is little to no disturbed, which makes a person's sleep more restful.
  • the respective through hole of the respective head storage trough can be cylindrical.
  • a cross-sectional area of the respective through hole can be rounded, for example circular, elliptical or oval, or polygonal, for example as an equilateral square, pentagon, hexagon or octagon.
  • the pillow core can be made partially or completely from a closed-cell or open-cell foam.
  • a shoulder side of the pillow core which is arranged on a side of the base of the imaginary isosceles triangle opposite the tip of the imaginary isosceles triangle, has a recess which has a maximum depth at a central point at which a vertical line running through the tip
  • the imaginary middle straight line standing on the base is the shoulder side cuts, and the depth of which decreases steadily on each side of this central point up to a lateral point or by a predetermined distance beyond that, at which an imaginary lateral straight line runs through the respective corner at the base and parallel to the imaginary central straight line the shoulder side cuts.
  • This concave recess on the shoulder side of the pillow core provides more free space for the upper back area or shoulder area of a person using the pillow core, so that it is largely avoided that part of the back area or shoulder area also rests on the pillow core. This allows the neck or cervical spine of the person using the pillow core to be better supported with the pillow core.
  • a separate cervical spine support recess is arranged on the head rest top for each head rest recess, the respective cervical spine support recess extending continuously from the through hole of the respective head rest recess to the shoulder side.
  • the respective cervical spine support recess is designed like a channel and laterally encloses a neck resting on it.
  • At least one cervical spine support recess has a flat bottom and lateral transition sections, with a distance between the transition sections increasing as the height of the transition sections increases.
  • the respective transition section can have a flat or concave surface.
  • the bottom can be curved convexly or concavely along the longitudinal extent of the respective cervical spine support recess.
  • a core section which is wedge-shaped in plan view of the top side of the head rest is arranged between two transition sections arranged adjacent to one another and of at least two cervical spine support recesses arranged adjacent to one another, the height of which decreases in the direction of the shoulder side.
  • the core section supports rotational movement of the head and neck of a person using the pillow core during a Change from the supine position to a side position, and vice versa.
  • the core section is elastically compressed at the beginning of the rotational movement, whereby a restoring force is generated which acts on the person's neck and thereby pushes it towards the adjacent cervical spine support recess. This reduces the effort required when changing from a supine position to a side position and vice versa.
  • a plurality of recesses are arranged on at least one head storage trough, which extend radially with respect to the through hole of the respective head storage trough and are circumferentially offset around the through hole and open into the through hole, the respective cross-sectional area of which decreases away from the through hole. Due to the presence of the recesses in the respective head rest trough, the restoring force of the pillow core in the area of this head rest trough is further reduced, which is accompanied by further pressure relief for the head of a person resting on the head rest trough.
  • the restoring force of the cushion core can be varied by the number and/or shape of the depressions.
  • the depressions can, for example, be arranged in a star shape around the through hole of the respective head storage trough.
  • the depressions can be arranged uniformly or unevenly offset around the circumference around the through hole of the respective head storage trough.
  • the depressions can be designed the same or different.
  • At least one depression has a triangular cross-sectional area. Due to the triangular cross-sectional area, the respective recess has slanted sides, so that the restoring force of the pillow core in the area of the respective head rest trough is not strong or unpleasant has noticeable cracks, as would be the case, for example, with a recess in the form of a groove with parallel vertical side walls.
  • the depressions are of equal length.
  • the depressions can be of different lengths. The choice of the length ratios between the recesses enables a special adjustment of the restoring force of the pillow core in the area of the respective headrest trough.
  • the overall height of the pillow core can be varied in order to be able to optimally and individually adapt the pillow core to the anatomy of the respective user.
  • the underside of the pillow core can be flat.
  • the pillow core is heart-shaped.
  • the cushion core can be C-shaped.
  • the pillow core is at least partially made of a viscoelastic foam.
  • a pillow core system according to the invention for a head and neck support pillow has at least one pillow core according to one of the above-mentioned configurations or a combination of at least two of these configurations with each other and at least one cover enclosing the pillow core, which is on the top of the headrest arranged reference section is each locally connected via three snap fasteners to a reference section of the cover arranged on the underside of the pillow core, the snap fasteners being at least partially arranged within the through holes of the pillow core.
  • the cover can be made partially or completely from lyocell and elastane.
  • a zipper can be arranged on the cover section arranged on the underside of the pillow core, after opening which the interior of the cover is accessible.
  • the pillow core system has at least one protective cover surrounding the pillow core enclosed with the cover.
  • the protective cover can be designed with or without holes in the area of the through holes of the cushion core.
  • the protective cover can be made partially or completely from polyester and elastane. Because of its elasticity, such a protective cover adapts optimally to the shape of the pillow core.
  • a zipper can be arranged on a cover section of the protective cover arranged on the underside of the cushion core, after opening which the interior of the protective cover is accessible.
  • Fig. 1 shows a schematic top view of an exemplary embodiment of a pillow core 1 according to the invention from obliquely above.
  • the pillow core 1 is heart-shaped and at least partially made of a viscoelastic foam.
  • a separate cervical spine support recess 11, 12 or 13 is arranged for each headrest trough 3, 4 and 5, with the respective cervical spine support recess 11, 12 and 13 extending from the through hole 6, 7 and 8 of the respective headrest trough 3 , 4 or 5 extends continuously to the shoulder side 9.
  • Each cervical spine support recess 11, 12 and 13 has a flat bottom 14 and lateral transition sections 15 and 16, with a distance between the transition sections 15 and 16 increasing as the height of the transition sections 15 and 16 increases, as shown in particular in Fig. 2 is shown.
