Claims (11)
- Schmierölzusammensetzung, umfassend:(a) eine größere Menge eines Öls mit Schmierviskosität;(b) ein Detergens oder mehrere Detergentien, umfassend mindestens eine Alkylhydroxybenzoatverbindung, die sich von isomerisiertem normalem alpha-Olefin (NAO) mit etwa 10 bis etwa 40 Kohlenstoffatomen ableitet; und(c) eine aschefreie Schwefelverbindung, wobei die aschefreie Schwefelverbindung aus geschwefelten Fettestern, geschwefelten Olefinen, Thiadiazolen, aschefreien Dithiophosphaten, geschwefelten gehinderten Phenolen und Phenothiazinen ausgewählt ist und wobei die aschefreie Schwefelverbindung kein Dithiocarbamat ist; undwobei die TBN der Alkylhydroxybenzoatverbindung 100 bis 300 mg KOH/g auf Aktivstoffbasis gemäß Bestimmung nach ASTM D2896 beträgt.
- Schmierölzusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1, wobei die TBN der Alkylhydroxybenzoatverbindung 150 bis 250 mg KOH/g auf Aktivstoffbasis, beispielsweise 175 bis 250 mg KOH/g auf Aktivstoffbasis oder 175 bis 225 mg KOH/g auf Aktivstoffbasis, beträgt.
- Schmierölzusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1, wobei ein weiteres Detergens ein Alkali- oder ein Erdalkalimetallalkylhydroxybenzoat ist, das sich von einer Alkylgruppe mit 20 bis 24 Kohlenstoffatomen ableitet.
- Schmierölzusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1, wobei das isomerisierte normale alpha-Olefin einen Isomerisierungsgrad (I) des normalen alpha-Olefins von etwa 0,10 bis etwa 0,40 aufweist.
- Schmierölzusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1, wobei es sich bei dem Alkylhydroxybenzoat-Detergens um ein von einem isomerisierten NAO abgeleitetes Calciumalkylhydroxybenzoat handelt.
- Verfahren zum Schmieren eines Motors, umfassend das Schmieren des Motors mit einer Schmierölzusammensetzung, umfassend:(a) eine größere Menge eines Öls mit Schmierviskosität und(b) ein Detergens oder mehrere Detergentien, umfassend mindestens eine Alkylhydroxybenzoatverbindung, die sich von isomerisiertem normalem alpha-Olefin (NAO) mit etwa 10 bis etwa 40 Kohlenstoffatomen ableitet; und(c) eine aschefreie Schwefelverbindung, wobei es sich bei der aschefreien Schwefelverbindung um geschwefelte Fettester, geschwefelte Olefine, Thiadiazole, aschefreie Dithiophosphate, geschwefelte gehinderte Phenole und Phenothiazine oder Kombinationen davon handelt und wobei die aschefreie Schwefelverbindung kein Dithiocarbamat ist; undwobei die TBN der Alkylhydroxybenzoatverbindung 100 bis 300 mg KOH/g auf Aktivstoffbasis gemäß Bestimmung nach ASTM D2896 beträgt.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 6, wobei die TBN der Alkylhydroxybenzoatverbindung 150 bis 250 mg KOH/g auf Aktivstoffbasis, beispielsweise 175 bis 250 mg KOH/g auf Aktivstoffbasis oder 175 bis 225 mg KOH/g auf Aktivstoffbasis, beträgt.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 6, wobei ein weiteres Detergens ein Alkali- oder ein Erdalkalimetallalkylhydroxybenzoat ist, das sich von einer Alkylgruppe mit 20 bis 24 Kohlenstoffatomen ableitet.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 6, wobei das isomerisierte normale alpha-Olefin einen Isomerisierungsgrad (I) des normalen alpha-Olefins von etwa 0,10 bis etwa 0,40 aufweist.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 6, wobei es sich bei dem Alkylhydroxybenzoat-Detergens um ein von einem isomerisierten NAO abgeleitetes Calciumalkylhydroxybenzoat handelt.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 6, wobei die Oxidation des Schmieröls in einem Motor verringert wird.
