As can be seen from [1], p. 79, the most frequently used types of doors are the revolving doors (also called swing doors), which have a door leaf, here called door leaf, mounted around a vertical axis on a door frame, usually via door hinges. In addition to rebated doors with door leaves that have a thick or thin rebate, there are flush-closing doors that have a butt door leaf, i.e. a door leaf that does not have a rebate on its lateral narrow sides.

As can be seen from [2], p. 13, a flush-closing door with a flush-type door leaf offers an exclusive door appearance with an almost flush transition between the door leaf and frame. This type of door is therefore particularly popular for doors, such as room doors in particular, which are intended to offer a very elegant appearance. This is often done with a light shade, such as a shade of white in particular, or a light shade of gray for the surface of the door - and according to the desired uniform, flush-fitting view - desired for both the door leaf and the frame. Corresponding to the high-quality, uniform appearance, a correspondingly uniform, light color tone is desired over the entire visible surface of the frame, which also carries the door seal, which is usually designed in the form of a sealing strip.

In practice, such doors, even when perfectly fitted and adjusted, are often criticized for not being completely light-tight, particularly when used as bedroom doors. Light from adjoining rooms can shine through the door gap despite the perfect contact of the sealing strips and despite a usual step in the frame where the sealing strip is mounted and against which the door leaf abuts.

According to the current standards, such a show-through is not considered to be a defect in a door, so a customer surprised by this effect is not entitled to a free repair. It has therefore hitherto been the case to point out the possible disadvantage to customers when ordering such a door. Previous solutions to eliminate this effect are the choice of a rebated door or a dark door seal, but both destroy or at least impair the desired high-quality appearance.

The object of the invention is to provide a door with a long lasting high quality elegant bright appearance and greater customer satisfaction when used as a bedroom door.

To solve this problem, the invention provides a door according to claim 1. A sealing strip for this is the subject of the secondary claim. Advantageous configurations are the subject matter of the dependent claims.

Advantageous refinements of the invention relate to a seal for a door which is intended to be "light-tight". The "light shining through" through the material is repeatedly criticized by customers, especially in the case of flush doors and doors to the bedroom, whereby the actual profile shape of the seal is irrelevant. Up until now, it has been difficult to achieve the "lightproof" property by changing the profile shape of the seal, especially since the profile shape is chosen on the basis of other specifications such as easy attachment options, good sound insulation, good insulation against drafts, adaptation to the shape of the door, etc.

Especially with seals in the color white, there is a "light shining through" through the material, although the seal is completely in contact with the surfaces. The light is reflected back and forth in the white material of the seal and thus also transported through the material.

In advantageous configurations of the invention, this problem is solved by adding color to partial areas of the seal.

The extrusion tool for producing the seal designed as a sealing strip is designed as a so-called co-ex tool (alternatively also as a tri-ex tool). During production, different colors are injected through the tool at the same time.

In principle, co-ex tools are already known in the extrusion sector for combining sealing strips with partial areas made of materials with different Shore hardnesses. The problem of "light-tight" has not yet been addressed.

The sealing geometries, in particular the cross-sectional shapes of the sealing strip, can be very different. The partial area that forms the visible surface when looking at the installed sealing strip is preferably made of a material with a light color that matches the appearance of the area around the sealing strip, i.e. the color of the frame and/or the door leaf - usually the outer area Color formed while a sub-area lying underneath or behind it, which is preferably in accordance with the closed state of the door compressed state of the weatherstrip across the door gap is formed of a darker colored material.

The sealing strip 22 is designed to be elastic, at least in some areas, and is in particular formed from plastic or similar extrudable elastic materials.

The first partial area 24 is formed in particular on the at least one sealing lip 36 and, in the case of a plurality of sealing lips, on at least one outer sealing lip 36 . The second sub-area 28 is arranged behind the first sub-area 24 when viewed from the outside towards the installed sealing strip 22, so that it cannot be seen from the outside in the installed state. In particular, the second partial area 28 is arranged in the lip area in such a way that it bridges at least a large part of the door gap 42 remaining between the door leaf 16 and the frame 14 when the door 10 is in the closed state and thus in the compressed state of the lip area 34 .

As in 2 shown, it can be sufficient for this if the second partial area 28 is formed only on a support strut 44 of a sealing lip 36 . the Figures 3 to 7 12 show further possible arrangements and propagations of the second partial area 28. In general, the second partial area 28 is to be arranged in such a way that light is prevented from being guided through the door gap by reflection in the seal. There are different examples of this in the Figures 2 to 7 shown.

The first partial area 24 and the second partial area 28 are formed by co-extruding at least the first material 26 and the second material 30 when the sealing strip 22 is produced. As indicated above, the sealing strip 22 can also be coextruded from more than two materials, e.g. Light colorant can be added to form the first portion 24 and dark colorant can be added to form the second portion 28 .

This amazingly simple measure makes it possible to achieve a uniform, bright appearance of the frame 14 including the sealing strip 22 or, in particular, of the entire door 10. Since the first partial area 24 is formed from a light-colored plastic that is colored throughout, this impression is retained even if the sealing lip 36 wears out due to friction. Conversely, falls itself abrasion of the sealing lip 36 on the light-colored door leaf 16 does not show up in color. Thus, the elegant light color tone of the door 10 is retained even after prolonged use. Nevertheless, when the door 10 is closed, light is not reflected further in the sealing strip 22 and transmitted, so that the door 10 remains absolutely light-tight even with large differences in brightness between the rooms separated by the door 10 in the area of the door gap sealed by the sealing strip 22.

In further embodiments, not shown, a corresponding sealing strip 22 is fastened to the door leaf 16 with the first and second partial area 24 , 28 . Although the effect of the differentially light reflecting and absorbing portions 24, 28 is greatest in the illustrated flush-closing swing door, it can be used in other types of doors to improve lighttightness where a seal is desired to have a light appearance to match its surroundings. The frame 14 can also have other shapes, e.g. be designed as a corner frame, and also be made of other materials, e.g. metal, in particular steel. The door panel 16 can also be formed from other materials. The door leaf 16 is preferably seamless and otherwise has no breakthroughs that would let light through.
