Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass die Wanne vollständig in einen Fußboden eines Prüfstandes eingelassen ist und die Löschvorrichtung zumindest einen Sprühkopf aufweist, welcher dazu eingerichtet ist, das Löschmittel in die Wanne und insbesondere auf das abgesenkte Fahrzeug zu sprühen. Der Aufnahmeraum ist durch die Wanne gebildet und die Beförderungseinrichtung ist als Absenkvorrichtung mit einer Aufstandsfläche für das Fahrzeug, insbesondere als Hebebühne, ausgebildet. Somit muss das Fahrzeug im Brandfall zum Löschen nur mit Hilfe der Absenkvorrichtung in die Wanne abgesenkt werden, welche unterhalb des Prüfstandes angeordnet sein kann. Ein weiterer Vorteil der Absenkvorrichtung ist, dass eine Absenkung von schweren Gegenständen, wie etwa Fahrzeugen, im Vergleich zu Verschiebevorgängen (vgl. die EP 3 263 402 B1 ) sicherer, d.h. weniger fehleranfällig, ist, da während eines Verschiebevorganges das Fahrzeug blockieren oder verkeilen kann. Claims (13)

  1. An apparatus (1) for extinguishing a burning vehicle (2), comprising:
    - a receiving space (4);
    - a conveying device (30) for conveying the vehicle (2) into the receiving space (4) and
    - an extinguishing apparatus (20) for introducing an extinguishing agent (19) into the receiving space (4),
    the receiving space (4) being formed by a well (3) and the conveying device (30) being designed as a lowering apparatus (5) having a support surface (6) for the vehicle (2), in particular as a lifting platform (7, 22), characterized in that the well (3) is set completely into a floor (10) of a test bench and the extinguishing apparatus (20) has at least one spray head (21) which is designed to spray the extinguishing agent (19) into the well (3) and in particular onto the lowered vehicle (2).
  2. The apparatus (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the lowering apparatus (5) can be moved between a working position and a lowered position, in the working position the support surface (6) being located substantially on a plane with an upper edge region (16) of a wall (17) of the well (3), and in the lowered position the contact surface (6) being lowered into the well (3), in particular onto a base surface (9) of the well (3).
  3. The apparatus (1) according to either claim 1 or claim 2, characterized in that the well (3) is inserted into a base (10), an upper edge region (16) of a wall (17) of the well (3) being preferably substantially flush with an upper base surface (10a).
  4. The apparatus (1) according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the extinguishing apparatus (20) has at least one inflow line (20') having an inflow opening (20") associated with the well (3).
  5. The apparatus (1) according to any of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the extinguishing apparatus (20) has at least two spray heads (21) which are designed to spray the extinguishing agent (19) into the well (3) and in particular onto the lowered vehicle (2).
  6. The apparatus (1) according to any of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the at least one spray head is arranged in the well (3), preferably on or in a wall (17) of the well (3).
  7. The apparatus (1) according to any of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the lowering apparatus (5) is preferably arranged substantially completely in the well (3).
  8. The apparatus (1) according to any of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the lowering apparatus (5) has at least one, in particular hydraulic and/or electric, drive unit (23) which is arranged outside the well (3) and is designed to lower the support surface (6) into the well (3), preferably onto a base surface (9) of the well (3).
  9. The apparatus (1) according to claim 8, characterized in that at least two or at least four drive units (23) are provided, which are arranged on two opposite sides of the well (3).
  10. The apparatus (1) according to any of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the well (3) has a depth of at least 100 cm, a width of at least 250 cm and/or a length of at least 600 cm.
  11. The apparatus (1) according to any of claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the lowering apparatus (5) is designed to raise and/or lower a weight of at least 3000 kg, preferably of at least 5000 kg.
  12. A method for extinguishing a burning vehicle (2), comprising the steps of:
    - placing a vehicle (2) on a support surface (6) of a lowering apparatus (5) during a testing operation on a test bench;
    - lowering the vehicle (2) in the event of a fire into a receiving space (4) formed by a well (3) with the aid of the lowering apparatus (5); and
    - introducing extinguishing agent (19) into the well (3) in order to extinguish the burning vehicle (2) by means of an extinguishing apparatus (20), wherein the extinguishing agent (19) is sprayed onto the lowered vehicle (2) by means of at least one spray head (21).
  13. The method according to claim 12, characterized in that extinguishing agent (19) has already been introduced into the well (3) before the vehicle (2) is lowered.
