Description

The invention relates to a running rail arrangement for awnings, in particular for folding awnings, according to the preamble of claim 1 and also to an awning equipped with it.

A generic running rail arrangement is from the KR 101 653 114 B1 known. A similar running rail arrangement as shown in the DE 10 2004 022 352 As can be seen, it includes a guide rail with a track, a carriage that is slidably mounted along the track, a cloth support profile that is mounted on the carriage via a bearing axis, and an anti-rotation device acting between the cloth support profile and the carriage.

As a background to the invention, reference is made to the folding awnings mentioned, in which the awning fabric is not wound onto a winding shaft - as is the case with a conventional folding arm awning - but is divided into strip zones. These are delimited by the so-called fabric support profiles, which are slidably mounted in the side guide rails of the awning that run in the direction of failure. The guide rails themselves, together with the end rails connecting them at their ends, form a support frame of the awning, which is mounted in a stationary manner on a building and/or on supports.

The fabric support profile at the front in the direction of failure, known as the front profile, can be moved by a drive in and against the direction of failure, which means that the awning can be extended and retracted. The strip zones, which hang down like a canopy between the fabric support profiles in the retracted state, are increasingly tightened as the front profile is extended by pulling the fabric support profiles with it, until the awning fabric is essentially stretched and forms a kind of pergola roof in the fully extended position of the awning.

With such folding awnings, the ends of the fabric support profiles are screwed to the carriage via a bearing axle. These carriages are slidably mounted on rollers in a track in the respective profiled guide rail.

The disadvantage of this known construction is the fact that the carriage can rotate around the bearing axis when screwed onto the respective cloth support profile due to the lack of a rotation block. The rollers then touch the side webs of the profile when the carriage is moved in the profiled track, which leads to increased wear on the track and the rollers as well as annoying noise.

It is possible to limit the rotation of the carriage using a complex pivot bearing design, but if the axis is not arranged exactly in the middle between pairs of rollers, the carriage will still twist with the disadvantages mentioned above.

Attempts have also been made to prevent relative rotation of these two components by means of an elastically compressible plastic element between the carriage and the fabric support profile, but this has also not proven to be reliably effective. When tightening the fastening screw in the axle bearing between the carriage and the fabric support profile, it can happen that the screw connection is too tight and the carriage twists relative to the fabric support profile, which means that the same problem described above occurs again. The only remedy here is to work with a very defined tightening torque of the screw connection, so that the plastic element is compressed to a certain extent, but the carriages can align themselves exactly parallel to the direction of travel during the first journey between the webs of the profiled guide rails. Overall, however, the assembly and adjustment of the components involved here must be carried out meticulously and with great effort to ensure low-wear and low-noise operation of the awning.

Based on the problem described, the invention is based on the object of designing a running rail arrangement in a structurally simple manner to improve their wear resistance and low noise in operation.

This task is solved by the features specified in claim 1, according to which the following features are provided for the mechanically engaging anti-rotation device acting between the cloth support profile and the carriage:
  • a receiving opening on the cloth support profile or carriage and a pin projection engaging therein on the carriage or cloth support profile form the anti-twist device,
  • the carriage has a bearing body, preferably with rollers rotatably mounted on it,
  • the bearing body is provided with a support shoulder surrounding the bearing axis to support the cloth support profile to be mounted thereon, and
  • the pin projection is formed in one piece with the support shoulder.

This means that the carriage and the associated fabric support profile are held in precise alignment with one another, so that the carriage with its rollers moves cleanly between the profile webs of the track and contact with these webs is avoided. Accordingly, wear and noise are minimal.

The anti-twist device is formed, on the one hand, by a receiving opening on the cloth support profile or carriage and, on the other hand, by a pin projection engaging therein on the carriage or cloth support profile. A simple mechanical positive connection blocks the rotational mobility between the carriage and the guide rails.

Each carriage has a bearing body with rollers rotatably mounted on it, the bearing body being provided with a support shoulder surrounding the bearing axis to support the cloth support profile to be mounted thereon and the pin projection is formed in one piece with this support shoulder. This represents a particularly robust design of the anti-twist device.

Advantageously, the pin projection and receiving opening are aligned with one another in such a way that, due to the anti-twist device acting in this way, the running direction of the respective carriage and the longitudinal direction of the cloth support profile lie in mutually orthogonal center planes of the carriage and cloth support profile. Due to the two-sided guide implemented in this way at the two ends of the fabric support profiles, they are effectively protected from tilting during the displacement movement to extend and retract the awning.

Furthermore, the pin projection can protrude axially parallel from the peripheral edge of the support shoulder pointing in the axial direction, so that a maximum long torque arm acts to prevent rotation.

According to a further development of the invention, the free end of the pin projection can finally be designed to taper in a cone shape, whereby the pin projection can be inserted particularly easily into the receiving opening.

As already mentioned at the beginning, the invention also relates to an awning and in particular a folding awning, in which a running rail arrangement as described above is provided between the guide rails and the respective fabric support profiles.

Based on Fig. 1 The basic structure of the folding awning shown must be explained. This has a support frame 1 which is rectangular in plan view and which is composed of side guide rails 3, 4 running in the extension direction A of an awning curtain 2 and end rails 5, 6 connecting their ends.

With one end rail 5, the awning is mounted on a building wall 7 via corresponding brackets (not shown), the opposite one End rail 6 rests on supports 8, 9, which stand, for example, on a terrace 10 to be covered.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the awning curtain 2 is an awning fabric 12, which is fastened with its end pointing in the direction of failure A in a front profile 11 which runs transversely to the direction of failure A and is driven in this direction and guided in the guide rails 3, 4. The awning fabric 12 is further divided into individual strip zones 13 like a canopy and is attached to a fabric support profile 14 with the edge of each of its zones 13. The ends of the latter are freely guided in the guide rails 3, 4 in the direction of extension A and move under the influence of gravity and the pulling effect of the extension profile 11 from a retracted position of the awning with folds of the individual strip zones 13 hanging downwards into the in Fig. 1 shown, extended position, in which the awning fabric 12 with the fabric support profiles 14 is pulled through the driven front profile 11 in the direction of failure A and is tensioned when the end rail 6 on the failure side is reached.

The displaceability of the cloth support profiles 14 in the guide rails 3, 4 is achieved by a running rail arrangement, as shown in the Fig. 2 to 6 is shown in detail. The guide rails 3, 4 each have a raceway 16 realized by inner profile webs 15 - see in particular Fig. 5 - in which the carriages 17 carrying the cloth support profiles 14 run along on corresponding pairs of rollers 18. The four rollers 18 of the two pairs of rollers per carriage 17 are rotatably mounted on a bearing body 19 of the carriage 17.

Like in particular Fig. 3 to 5 becomes clear, the cloth support profiles 14 are mounted at their ends 20 via a bearing axle 21 on the respective carriage 17. The bearing axes 21 are formed by a screw bolt inserted from above into a receiving hole 22 in the bearing body 19 and secured to the bearing body 19 by a lock nut 23, the lower end of which passes through corresponding receiving openings 24 in the cloth support profiles 14. The respective cloth support profile 14 is fixed by screwing a cap nut 25 onto the cloth support profile 14 from below, which is then anchored on the carriage 17 by pressing against a support shoulder 26 which is formed downwards on the bearing body 19 and surrounds the bearing axis 21.

Between the cloth support profile 14, which is rotatably mounted on the carriage 17, a pin projection 27 is integrally formed on the bearing body 19 to prevent rotation, which projection protrudes downwards in this direction from the peripheral edge 28 of the support shoulder 26, which points parallel to the axial direction of the bearing axis 21. The free end 34 of the pin projection 27 is tapered in a conical shape. As a functional partner to the pin projection 27, a round receiving opening 30 is created at a corresponding point in the upper wall 29 of the cloth support profile 14, which has a rectangular cross section, into which the pin projection 27 dips into the respective cloth support profile 14 when the bearing axis 21 is inserted and this positive engagement creates a rotation between Carriage 17 and cloth support profile 14 are blocked around the bearing axis 21. This means that these two components are aligned and fixed relative to each other so that - as in Fig. 6 can be seen - the running direction L17 of the carriage 17 and the longitudinal direction L14 of the respective cloth support profile 14 lie in mutually orthogonal center planes M17 and M14 of the carriage 17 and cloth support profile in 14. Each carriage 17 is therefore without tilting and therefore without disturbing contact with the profile webs 15 of the raceway 16 can be moved parallel to the direction of failure A in the guide rails 3, 4.

To visualize this advantage is in Fig. 7 a situation is shown in which a carriage 17 'is connected to the cloth support profile 14 without anti-twist protection. This can cause the carriage 17' to tilt in the raceway 16, with the disadvantages and problems mentioned at the beginning.

For the sake of completeness, it is based on Fig. 2 to explain the drive of the carriage 17, which has a cloth support profile 14 forming the front profile 11 in the form of Figures 3 to 5 is connected in a rotationally secured manner as shown. A revolving drive belt 31 is provided in each of the guide rails 3, 4, which is guided over a deflection roller 32 at the failure-side end of the guide rails 3, 4. At the other end of the guide rails 3, 4, the drive belt 31 is guided over a corresponding drive roller and can therefore be driven reversibly to extend and retract the awning. The carriages 17 of the front profile 11 are connected to the drive belts 31 by a clamping plate 33, so that the drive belts 31 take the respective carriage 17 with them during its synchronous movement.
