Abstract

The invention relates to a device for storing smoking articles (1), wherein, according to the invention, smoking articles with different diameters can be safely stored by using inlays (8) designed according to the invention.

Description

The invention relates to a device for storing smoking articles in the sense of a container for accommodating at least one smoking article. Tobacco products such as cigarettes and cigars or joints, with which products other than tobacco are mixed with tobacco or consumed pure, are considered smoker's goods.

Hand-rolled cigarettes or joints are delicate items that can be easily damaged or lose their aroma if not stored or transported properly before consumption.

One object of the invention is therefore to protect at least one smoking article from external influences.

To solve this problem, the invention provides the use of a device for storing smoking articles according to patent claim 1.

There are also smoking articles with different diameters, either due to the type of product in the case of standardized and/or industrially manufactured tobacco products (cigarettes/cigars) or due to fluctuations in the manual production of smoking articles by rolling tobacco leaves or cigarette papers.

In addition, hand-made smoking articles often have a conical shape rather than a cylinder, so that a hollow-cylindrical or tubular shape is also possible

The shell is advantageously designed to be impact-resistant and has an inherent rigidity that counteracts bending of the shell.

In preferred embodiments of the invention, the shell is made of a metal, such as steel or aluminum, or of a hard plastic, such as polycarbonate, optionally with reinforcement from integrated fibers (GRP, CFRP).

In one embodiment of the invention, the casing has a hollow-cylindrical or tubular basic shape with closed ends.

The casing of the device for storing smoking articles can be opened to accommodate the at least one smoking article in the accommodation space or to remove the at least one smoking article from the accommodation space.

For this purpose, the cover is made up of at least two parts that can be releasably connected to one another.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the device for storing smoking articles has a casing divided into a body and a lid, with the body being closable with the aid of the lid. The essential part of the recording space lies in this case within the body, although in embodiments of the invention part of the receiving space can also be arranged in the cover.

In advantageous embodiments of the invention, the cover and the body of the casing can be releasably connected to one another with the aid of a connecting device.

Such a connecting device can be realized, for example, by a rotary lock realized with the aid of corresponding threads on the cover and the body or a bayonet lock, or by a plug-in lock.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the connection between the cover and the body of the casing is additionally sealed with a sealing element, so that an exchange of air between the receiving space and the environment is avoided. For example, the sealing element is designed as a sealing ring arranged in the area of the connection between the cover and the body of the casing.

At least one inlay is arranged in the at least one receiving space of a device according to the invention for storing smoking articles in order to fix the at least one smoking article.

The at least one inlay is advantageously arranged inside the cover at least when the device is in a closed state.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the external shape and the size of at least one inlay are designed such that the inlay is fixed in a clamped manner in the casing in an assembled device for storing smoking articles.

In one embodiment of the invention, at least one inlay is made at least partially from a flexible or elastic material, such as silicone.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, at least one inlay is made entirely of a flexible or elastic material, such as silicone.

At least one inlay has an interior space into which at least one smoking article can be inserted at least in some areas.

In a preferred embodiment, one end of at least one smoking article can be inserted into the interior of an inlay.

The at least one smoking article can be inserted through an open end of an inlay into the interior of this inlay.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, at least one inlay has a thimble-like basic shape. The inlay has an open end, an inlay wall delimiting the inlay in the radial direction, and an upper end delimiting the interior space of the inlay.

In other embodiments of the invention, the inlay is tubular, open at both ends and delimited only by a radially circumferential inlay wall that extends in the axial direction.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, at least one inlay is inserted or arranged in the lid of the device for storing smoking articles.

As a rule, smoking articles have a mouthpiece in the form of a filter or a tip, for example, at one end, while the other end of the smoking article is open or closed with the aid of the cigarette paper. The end having the mouthpiece is usually the more stable or firmer end of the smoking article.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, at least one inlay is designed to receive the end of at least one smoking article that has the mouthpiece.

In one embodiment of the invention, at least one inlay is designed to receive the smoking article in the axial direction.

To fix the at least one smoking article, at least one inlay of a device according to the invention for storing smoking articles has clamping elements projecting into the interior of the inlay, with which an end of a smoking article inserted into the inlay can be fixed in a clamping manner.

At least one inlay preferably has at least three clamping elements protruding into the interior of the inlay.

Particularly preferably, at least some of the clamping elements of at least one inlay are made of an elastic material or are arranged in the inlay in a resilient manner.

In one embodiment of the invention, at least some of the clamping elements of at least one inlay are designed in a lamellar manner.

The use of at least three clamping elements projecting into the interior of an inlay enables a smoking article to be securely fixed in the region of the end inserted into the inlay in the radial direction (transverse to the axial direction of the smoking article) and in the axial direction.

In preferred embodiments of the invention, the clamping elements of at least one inlay extend from the inlay wall and/or the upper end of the at least one inlay into the interior of the respective inlay.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the clamping elements of at least one inlay are arranged uniformly in the circumferential direction of the inlay.

For an inlay with three clamping elements, these are therefore preferably arranged in the angular positions of 120°, 240° and 360° or 0° in the circumferential direction.

For an inlay with five clamping elements, these are preferably arranged approximately in the angular positions of 72°, 144°, 216°, 288° and 360° or 0°.

These preferred angular positions are appropriately adjusted for other numbers of clamping elements.

In a particularly preferred embodiment, at least one inlay is designed to hold smoking articles with different diameters.

For this purpose, at least some of the clamping elements protruding into the interior of the at least one inlay are designed in embodiments of the invention in such a way that they protrude further into the interior of the inlay in the direction of the upper end of the inlay than in the area of the open end of the inlay (axial expansion of the inlay). Smoking articles with a smaller diameter can thus be inserted deeper into the inlay in the axial direction before these come into contact with the clamping elements in the radial direction and are fixed overall in a clamping manner than smoking articles with a larger diameter, which are already contacted and fixed by the clamping elements at a lower insertion depth.

In embodiments of the invention, at least some of the clamping elements, viewed in a cross section of the inlay, extend essentially only in the radial direction, apart from their width.

In other embodiments, at least some of the clamping elements have, in addition to their radial and axial extent, a curvature or arching and/or inclination in the circumferential direction of the inlay. Depending on the (local) diameter of the smoking article, there is a corresponding displacement of the elastic clamping elements in the circumferential direction of the inlay, as a result of which a clamping effect adapted to the local diameter of the smoking article is realized.

In embodiments of the invention, the clamping elements are connected to the inlay wall at a constant angular position in the axial direction of at least one inlay, while the angular position of the connection point between the clamping element and the inlay wall changes in other embodiments of the invention in the axial direction of the inlay, so that it changes in a helical manner in the axial direction are twisted.

In embodiments of the invention, the clamping elements of at least one inlay have a curvature or curvature and/or inclination in the circumferential direction and a depth of protrusion of the clamping elements into the interior of the inlay that increases in the axial direction from the open end to the upper end of the inlay.

The arrangement of individual clamping elements in the inlay taught according to preferred embodiments of the invention, in contrast to the use of an inlay with a conically tapering interior space or a correspondingly designed inlay wall, enables the clamping forces to be realized to be precisely coordinated. This is advantageous due to the particular sensitivity of the objects to be fixed, since if the clamping effect is too strong, the smoking article stored in a device according to the invention for storing smoking articles can otherwise be easily damaged when being removed from this same device. In particular, there is a risk that the cigarette paper will tear. According to the invention, a balance can thus be achieved between the clamping effect and gentle treatment of the smoking article.

In one embodiment of the invention, the device for storing smoking articles is designed to hold at least two smoking articles at the same time. For this purpose, the cover has a large accommodation space for accommodating a number of smoking articles or a plurality of accommodation areas which are each designed to accommodate a smoking article. Furthermore, this embodiment of a device for storing smoking articles has an inlay for the clamping fixation of several smoking articles next to each other or several inlays for the clamping fixation of one smoking article each.
