Claims (12)

  1. A box (1) including a bottom (2) and a peripheral rim (3), the peripheral rim (3) comprising four panels divided into a first pair (31) and a second pair (32) perpendicular to one another, each panel of the second pair (32) being connected articulated with each panel of the first pair (31),
    each panel being able to take up:
    - a storage position in which it is parallel or coplanar to the bottom (2);

    - a second part (31b) of the panel is folded down on the first part (31a),
    and in that the first part (31a) of the panels of the first pair (31) and the second part (31b) of the panels of the first pair (31) each respectively have first retaining means (34) and second retaining means (35) intended to interact with one another to keep the panels of the first pair (31) in the use position, the first retaining means (34) and the second retaining means (35) falling within the thickness of the panels, characterized in that the box is made of expanded material, and the panels comprise a core (331) and a film (332) secured to the core.
  2. The box as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that each panel of the first pair (31) has two hinges (33) each extending from a lower corner of the panel, the first part (31a) extending between the second part (31b) and a third part (31c), each hinge (33) being designed to permit the folding of the panel into its storage position wherein:
    - the first part (31a) of the panel is folded down onto the bottom (2) of the box;
    - the second part (31b) of the panel is folded down onto the first part (31a),
    - the third part (31c) of the panel is folded down onto the first part (31a),
    and in that the third part (31c) of the panels of the first pair (31) also has second retaining means (35) falling within the thickness of the panels, and intended to interact with the first retaining means (34) to keep the panels of the first pair (31) in the use position.
  3. The box as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that each panel of the first pair (31) has a single hinge (33) extending from a lower corner of the panel, the hinge (33) being designed to permit the folding of the panel into its storage position wherein:
    - the first part (31a) of the panel is folded down on the bottom (2) of the box;
    - the second part (31b) of the panel is folded down onto the first part (31a),
    - a first panel (321) of the second pair (32) which is connected articulated to the second part (31b) of the panel of the first pair (31) is folded down onto the second part (31b), and in that a second panel (322) of the second pair (32), which is connected articulated to the first part (31a) of the panels of the first pair (31), is foldable on itself about two hinges (33) each extending from a lower corner of the second panel (322), the hinges (33) being designed to permit the folding of the second panel (322) into its storage position wherein:
    - a central part (32a) of the second panel (322) is folded down in the extension of the bottom (2) of the box;
    - two lateral parts (32b) of the second panel (322), via which the second panel (322) is connected to the panels of the first pair (32), are folded down onto the central part (32a).
  4. The box as claimed in claim 3, characterized in that the central part (32a) of the second panel (322) of the second pair (32) has the first retaining means (34) and at least one of the lateral parts (32b) has the second retaining means (35) intended to interact with the first retaining means (34) to keep the second panel (322) of the second pair (32) in the use position, the first retaining means (34) and the second retaining means (35) falling within the thickness of the second panel (322) of the second pair (32).
  5. The box as claimed in the preceding claim, characterized in that, in the use position of the panels, the hinge or hinges (33) form an angle of 45° with the bottom (2) of the box.
  6. The box as claimed in the preceding claim, characterized in that the hinge or hinges (33) are formed by cutting out only the core (331) of the panels.
  7. The box as claimed in any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the first retaining means (34) take the form of elastically deformable tenons and the second retaining means (35) take the form of mortices.
  8. The box as claimed in any of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the first retaining means (34) take the form of magnets and the second retaining means (35) take the form of ferromagnetic elements.
  9. The box as claimed in any of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the first retaining means (34) take the form of dowels and the second retaining means (35) take the form of notches.
  10. The box as claimed in any of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises a cover (4) to prevent or permit access to the inside of the box.
  11. The box as claimed in the preceding claim, characterized in that the cover (4) comprises a securing portion (41) intended to be secured with one of the panels of the box, and a flap (42) rotatably mounted on the securing portion (41) and being able to take up:
    - an opening position wherein it leaves access to the inside of the box free;
    - a closing position wherein it shuts off access to the inside of the box;
  12. The box as claimed in the preceding claim, characterized in that the flap (42) bears flanks (43) intended to be fitted into the crate, in the closing position of the flap (42) .
