Description

The invention relates to a training device for muscle training. It relates to a training device which is designed to apply a load designed as a compressive force or as a tensile force to a person exercising and using the training device for this purpose. The respective load acts on the shoulders or arms of the person exercising via a barbell which is carried on their shoulders or held in their hands and forms an essential component of the training device. The muscle training of persons undergoing rehabilitation treatment is considered to be the preferred purpose of use of the training device claimed and described below, without however limiting the invention and/or its use. Rather, the training device according to the invention can be used equally for rehabilitative muscle training as well as for athletic muscle training, in particular pursuing fitness goals.

For the aforementioned purposes, i.e. for rehabilitative or athletic muscle training, dumbbell training is a widespread form of training. For example, the shoulder/arm muscles and/or the leg muscles are trained using a barbell directly provided with weights as part of appropriate lifting exercises trained. Weights, preferably arranged on both sides of a barbell, exert a compressive force on a person exercising, carrying the barbell on their shoulders or holding it with their hands, which the person can counteract by stretching their arms and thus lifting the barbell weight to train their arm muscles. It is also possible to hoist the dumbbell weight up from a crouch by stretching the legs or from a bent position by straightening the trunk and thereby training the leg muscles or the trunk and back muscles.

Further possibilities of muscle training using a barbell are given by the fact that a person holding the barbell and exerting a tensile force on it exerts a force in the opposite direction to the tensile force exerted. It is known here to connect the barbell on both sides with ropes or belts, via which the aforementioned force acting against the tensile force exerted on the barbell by the exercising person is applied to the barbell. For this purpose, the ropes or belts connected to the barbell are guided over rollers, with their other ends facing away from the barbell being connected to a weight, a spring or to at least one drive which in turn exerts a tensile force.

Training devices of the type mentioned above are typically used in stationary operation, in which the training person carries out the respective exercises to a certain extent in place, that is to say without moving in a running/walking manner. In the last-described case of training by exerting a tensile force on the dumbbell, this is usually the result of the typically stationary arrangement of rollers over which the ropes or belts connected to the dumbbell are guided, as well as the stationary arrangement of those exerting the corresponding counterforce Middle.

In the case of lifting movements carried out using a dumbbell weight, the typically stationary execution of corresponding exercises is due in particular to safety regulations to avoid accidents. It is customary here to remove the dumbbell weight from a safety storage holder at the respective training station and to carry out the exercises in the immediate vicinity of this storage holder and to store the barbell with weights back in the storage holder at the end of the exercise. Due to the safety regulations mentioned, it is also common for the exercises to be secured by an assistant who repeatedly raises and lowers the weight-loaded barbell.

In training and fitness centers, athletes usually help each other. However, this is not usually possible in the field of rehabilitation, ie in the event that several people undergoing rehabilitation train at the same time. It is rather the case here that a therapist, i.e. staff, is required for each training person, on the one hand to give instructions for the training and on the other hand to ensure the exercises under the safety aspect already mentioned. In view of the fact that a person supervising a corresponding rehabilitation training course could easily instruct several training persons at the same time, it is desirable, among other things from the point of view of saving personnel costs, that not every training person has a person who ensures the training exercises in compliance with the safety regulations must be set aside.

Some solutions have already become known for solving the problem addressed above. For example, in the DE 39 36 377 A1 a solution is described in which ropes are attached to the barbell bar, which is loaded with weights at the end, which are guided over deflection rollers arranged on horizontally extending support arms of a vertically upright stand and are attached with their other ends to a carriage that can be moved vertically up and down along the stand . A prestressed bolt can also be released via means that can be actuated electrically by the person exercising, which slides into one of several bores formed in close vertical succession on the stand and thus fixes the barbell in its current vertical position at the end of the workout.

The DE 40 11 131 A1 discloses an exercise machine in which straps are attached near both ends of the weighted bar. The belts can be rolled up on winding drums, which are rotatably mounted on a winding shaft arranged on a frame above the head of the exercising person. By means of an electric drive, a toothed disc arranged in a torsionally rigid manner in the center of the winding shaft and a toothed belt guided over the drive shaft and the toothed disc, the belts are always adjusted without the exercising person noticing held taut and thus secured the weight-loaded barbell. A similar, working with a hydraulic solution is through the EP 0 678 312 A1 disclosed in relation to a weight bench for training while lying down.

Also from the WO 2016/126254 A1 a solution has become known which is intended to make it superfluous to provide a person doing dumbbell training with a person providing assistance. According to the solution described, the barbell rests in the region of its two ends, but on the inside of the respective weight arranged at the very end, on a strut (crossbar) arranged horizontally and transversely to the barbell. The barbell is fixed to the two crossbars via a bearing arrangement formed by a pivot bearing and a sliding bearing. The bearing arrangement makes it possible to move the barbell in a horizontal direction along the cross braces on the one hand and to carry out pivoting movements on the other hand. The two cross struts carrying the barbell are in turn each fixed at their two ends via a sliding bearing on a respective vertical guide rod. The barbell also has at least one brake that can be actuated by means of a lever, so that the barbell can be safely moved up or down along the guide rods. The US8900097 B1 discloses another training device, with a device carrier and with a barbell, which is held on the device carrier by means of ropes or belts guided over pulleys and which is brought into operative connection with at least one means for forming a load acting on a person exercising as a compressive or tensile force.

What the previously described solutions have in common is that they increase the safety of a person exercising, so that additional assistance from another person can be dispensed with. However, all of the solutions in the publications mentioned are training devices on which the respective exercises are carried out in a stationary manner. A person exercising on the devices cannot basically move from the place with the weight-loaded barbell, but rather carries out their exercises in place. The training devices are also designed to train essentially only the arm muscles and muscles of the upper torso area that are typically trained when lifting weights, so that they can only be used flexibly to a limited extent with regard to the existing training options.

The object of the invention is to provide a training device that enables a person to carry out training exercises using a barbell that imparts a compressive force or a tensile force, without having to have the assistance of another person to ensure a high degree of accident safety to secure the training only requires people who care for them. In addition, the corresponding training device should be designed in such a way that the person exercising in each case has a high degree of freedom of movement when carrying out the exercises and, if necessary, the simultaneous training of a large number of other muscle groups in addition to the usual training of the arms, including the upper trunk area, during dumbbell training , such as muscles of the lower and lateral torso area, the pelvic area and/or the legs, including their lower legs, and in particular a training of the ability to coordinate with a simultaneous training of the aforementioned muscle groups. In this case, the training person should be able to move largely freely within a training room.

The task is solved by a training device with the features of patent claim 1 . Advantageous training and developments of the invention are given by the dependent claims.

Essential components of the training device for rehabilitative or athletic muscle training proposed to solve the task are a device carrier and a barbell held on this device carrier by means of ropes or belts guided over rope pulleys. Via the aforementioned ropes or straps, the barbell is brought into an operative connection with at least one means (the type of this at least one means will be explained later) for the formation of a load acting as a compressive or tensile force on a person exercising. With regard to the aforementioned pulleys, reference should always be made here and below to rope pulleys, as well as in the patent claims. regardless of whether the barbell is held by ropes or straps on the equipment carrier.

According to the invention, the device carrier consists of a base carrier and a function carrier connected to the base carrier via a pivot bearing or a slewing ring, the base carrier being movable in a horizontal plane along a crossbar arranged above the person exercising. The function carrier, on which the pulleys for the ropes or belts holding the barbell are arranged, can be rotated about a vertical axis relative to the base support due to its connection to the base support via the pivot bearing or the slewing ring.

According to a first embodiment of the invention, the at least one means already mentioned, which is brought into an operative connection with the barbell to apply a load to the person exercising, is weights that are arranged on both ends of the barbell and exert a compressive force. In the training form in question, the training device, more precisely its device carrier (in particular the function carrier) is designed in such a way that when the barbell is lifted by exerting a lifting force that exceeds the weight of the barbell bar with the weights, the ropes or belts on the function carrier of the Device carrier arranged pulleys are rolled up.

The above-mentioned lifting force, which causes the lifting of the barbell, is of course applied in practical use of the training device by a training person using the device. The embodiment can also preferably be designed in such a way that the ropes or belts are pretensioned to compensate for the weight force caused by the barbell itself, ie to compensate for the weight force caused by the barbell without weights. As a result, at least the barbell is held in suspension by means of the ropes or belts as long as no weights are arranged on it.

According to a particularly advantageous development of the first embodiment of the training device according to the invention, which is designed for the application of a weight force (compressive force) to the person exercising, it is equipped with a fall brake which, when the barbell moves downwards, if a maximum roll-off acceleration is exceeded , Blocking the unrolling of at least one of the ropes or belts from the associated pulley. With regard to blocking the unwinding of a cable or belt, such a fall brake can function according to the principle of blocking a safety belt, which is known from motor vehicle technology. This is a mechanism which is triggered in the event that a maximum rolling acceleration and the associated exceeding of a centrifugal force acting on an element of this mechanism is exceeded and causes the blocking of the rolling process. Both ropes or belts, which are typically present, and the associated rollers are preferably equipped with a corresponding fall brake.

In a second embodiment of the training device according to the invention, to form a load acting on the person exercising as a tensile force, the means or means that are in an operative connection with the barbell are at the end facing away from the barbell at least one of the rope pulleys, which are designed as deflection rollers in this case guided ropes or belts arranged. According to a variant of this embodiment, the means for generating the tensile force arranged at the end of at least one cable or belt is a spring which is anchored to an abutment with its end facing away from the cable or belt. Here, the tensile force caused by the spring can preferably be varied by changing the preload of the spring.

According to another variant of the second embodiment, the tensile force can be exerted by at least one weight element, which is arranged at the end of at least one rope or belt, preferably in a detachable and thus exchangeable manner be evoked. By exchanging the weight or weights, it is also possible in this variant to change the tensile force acting on the barbell. It is of course preferably the case that corresponding weights are attached to both sides, ie to the ropes or belts arranged on both sides of the barbell, and typically have the same weight for a symmetrical load on the person exercising.

A further, third variant of the configuration of the second embodiment is that the tensile force is caused by means comprising (electric) at least one drive, which act on the end of at least one of the ropes or belts facing away from the barbell. In this case, too, the respectively caused tensile force can be varied by a corresponding activation of the corresponding drive or drives.

According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, this is designed in such a way that the training device can be converted to switch between the two embodiments described above. In this case, either the entire device carrier or at least its functional carrier having the rollers for the ropes or belts can be exchanged for conversion to the other embodiment. In the course of a corresponding conversion, it is achieved that either a barbell with weights exerts a compressive force on a person exercising and when the barbell is lifted, the ropes or belts are rolled up by the rope pulleys of the respective equipment carrier, or that the barbell is used as deflection rollers acting pulleys of guided ropes or belts, is brought into an operative connection with a means (spring, weight element or element moved by a drive) that generates a tensile force.

Due to its design with the device carrier that can be moved along a traverse in a horizontal plane and the rotatability of the function carrier of this device carrier in relation to its base carrier, the invention enables this Training device a very variable and flexible muscle training. A person who uses a barbell to impart a compressive or tensile force for their training can move relatively freely when performing the corresponding exercises, so they do not have to perform the exercises in a stationary position. Due to the twistability between the basic carrier and the function carrier of the device carrier, the person concerned can simultaneously turn their upper body when lifting the barbell or pulling on the barbell that is subjected to a tensile force, as well as moving forwards and backwards and thus other muscle groups at the same time claim and train their coordination.

In particular for use in the rehabilitation sector, however, there is the additional advantage that the person exercising is always safe without the need for assistance from another person. It is also very advantageous, especially for use in the rehabilitation sector, that the person exercising with the barbell can run at the same time as carrying out the corresponding exercises. Depending on the type and degree of impairment of the person concerned, which makes the rehabilitation measures necessary, it can also be advantageous if the person exercising is gently forced to run at the same time as they carry out their exercises with the barbell. According to an embodiment of the invention provided in this respect, this can be brought about by the device carrier not only being able to be guided passively along the traverse in the horizontal direction, but also by providing drives which actively move the device carrier.

The traverse along which the device carrier is moved can be a simple traverse, a double traverse or a multiple traverse, which is either designed as part of a portal structure or mounted on the ceiling of a respective training room. This can be, for example, a rail system that is preferably realized by means of a double crossbeam, in which the base support of the equipment carrier is movably guided in the manner of a roller carriage due to a bearing by means of ball bearings or plain bearings.

According to a likewise very advantageous development, the training device can be equipped with an electronic brake regarding the rollers and the possibility of unrolling the ropes or belts, which only releases the unrolling if it is detected by means of sensors arranged on the barbell that a person exercising is using the barbell with both hands or the barbell is resting on a part of a person's body.

Finally, the training device can also be equipped with devices for generating a virtual reality to support the achievement of specific training goals.

The 1 shows a possible embodiment of the training device according to the invention as an overall view in spatial representation. This is a form of training in which a pressure force is exerted on a person exercising via the barbell 1 . In addition to the barbell 1, on which weights 9, 10 are arranged on both sides to generate the compressive force, the traverse 2, the device carrier 3, 4 that can be moved in the horizontal direction along the traverse 2, which is attached to the function carrier 4 of the base carrier 3 and said Function carrier 4 existing equipment carrier 3, 4 arranged pulleys 5, 6 and guided over these pulleys 5, 6, the barbell 1 holding ropes 7, 8 are essential elements of the training device.

In the training device shown as an example, the traverse 2 is designed as a double traverse to be fastened to the ceiling of a room. The double traverse is brought into contact with a ceiling by means of contact elements 12 1 - 12 n provided with bores and formed in one piece with the traverse 2 and anchored to the ceiling through bores in the contact elements 12 1 - 12 n by means of screws or similar anchoring elements. With the traverse 2, so with the double traverse, the trained in the manner of a carriage base support 3 of the device carrier 3, 4 is brought into engagement. The function carrier 4 with the pulleys 5, 6 arranged thereon is connected to the base carrier 3 via a pivot bearing (not shown in detail in the illustration). Due to the connection between the base support 3 and the function support 4 brought about by the pivot bearing, the function support 4 can be rotated about the axis of rotation 13 relative to the base support 3 engaged with the traverse 2 and thus relative to the traverse 2 .

For the training, a person, for example a person undergoing health rehabilitation training, grasps the barbell 1 with both hands or puts it on his shoulders and presses the barbell 1 under the barbell 1 - possibly also in a stooped position - standing, the barbell 1 against the compressive force caused by the weights 9, 10 upwards. In this case, the ropes 7 , 8 connecting the barbell 1 to the equipment carrier 3 , 4 are rolled up onto the rope pulleys 5 , 6 of the function carrier 4 . By means of sensors not shown here arranged on the barbell 1, it is preferably ensured that training with the barbell 1 is only possible if it is gripped on both sides by hand or is lying flat on the shoulder-neck area of the person exercising. In any case, however, a downward movement of the barbell 1 beyond a basic or rest position is prevented as long as said sensors do not indicate the presence of two hands gripping the barbell or a flat contact the barbell 1 is detected on a part of the body (shoulder-neck area). In this basic position, the barbell 1 is held in suspension by means of a preferably electronic brake without touching the sensors, with the ropes 7, 8 being pretensioned in such a way that, even without the action of the aforementioned electronic brake, they at least brake the unloaded, i.e. not yet with Hold weights 9, 10 equipped barbell 1 in the balance.

If a person exercising has grasped the barbell 1 on both sides or placed it on their shoulder and neck area, they can repeatedly press it with the weights 9, 10 arranged on it and measured according to the desired training success against the weights 9, 10 (actually only from the weights 9, 10 - the weight of the barbell 1 itself is compensated by the pretension of the ropes 7, 8) and lower again, whereby a lowering beyond a defined vertical basic or resting position is made possible.

The great advantage of the training device according to the invention is that the person exercising can move very freely within the room while performing the exercise mentioned above. You can move the device carrier 3, 4 and the barbell 1 connected to it via the ropes, including the weights 9, 10, along the crossbar 2 and thus run forwards and backwards under the crossbar 2, with the barbell 1 in your hand. At the same time, she can also turn the function carrier 4 in relation to the basic carrier 3 and thus, for example, twist her upper body sideways while performing the exercises and thus train specific muscle groups on the upper body and trunk as well as the legs in addition to the arm muscles. Depending on the need and the training goal, i.e. in particular depending on the requirements for the rehabilitative training of a person, it can also be provided that the equipment carrier 3, 4 or its base carrier 3 moves along the double traverse 2 by means of drives and thus the exercising person is forced to a certain extent (certainly in a gentle way) to run with the barbell 1 while performing the exercises.

A very flexible use of the training device is given by the fact that the function carrier 4 is detachably connected to the base support 3 of the device carrier 3, 4 and can thus be exchanged for another function carrier 4. The function carrier 4 shown as an example can thus be exchanged for a function carrier 4, for example, which makes it possible to exert a tensile force on the arms of a person gripping the barbell 1 via the barbell 1. With such a function carrier 4, not shown here, the rope pulleys 5, 6 would be configured as deflection pulleys and appropriate means for generating the tensile force would be arranged on the ends of the ropes 7, 8 guided over the deflection pulleys that face away from the barbell 1. As already explained earlier, the last-mentioned means can, for example, each be a spring connected to a cable 7, 8 and anchored at its other end to an abutment.

The 2 shows the form of training according to 1 again in a different view, namely viewed from a perspective from below the training device according to the invention. The contact elements 12 1 - 12 n for fastening the traverse 2 (double traverse) to a ceiling can also be seen in this figure. Slightly better than in the 1 are in the 2 In addition, details of the device carrier 3, 4 engaged with the traverse 2, such as in particular the cable pulleys 5, 6 attached to the function carrier 4 of the device carrier 3, 4, can be seen. At the in the 1 and 2 The embodiment of the training device shown is, as already stated, an embodiment for imparting a compressive force on a person exercising via a barbell 1 provided with weight elements 9, 10. The rollers 5, 6 arranged on the function carrier 4 serve to ensure that the Ropes 7, 8, via which the barbell 1 is connected to the function carrier 4, are rolled up onto these rollers 5, 6 when the barbell 1 is raised.

In addition, in the 2 an essential detail provided on the training device, more precisely on its device carrier 3, 4, can be clearly seen. This is a fall brake 11 designed as part of the function carrier 4. Based on the belt brake principle known from vehicle technology, this prevents the weight-laden barbell from falling onto the person or the floor if it slips away from a person exercising and thus possibly injure the person concerned. As soon as a maximum unwinding speed, which can be set on the elements of the fall brake 11 provided for this purpose, occurs on the cable pulleys 5, 6, the fall brake 11 is triggered and prevents the cables 7, 8 from rolling off the cable pulleys 5, 6 any further and thus any further downward movement of the Barbell 1 with weights 9, 10.

The figure 3 shows another variant of the in the 1 shown embodiment of the training device according to the invention. This is a portal variant of the otherwise essentially the same form of training. In this variant, too, a compressive force is exerted on a person exercising via the barbell 1 . In this embodiment, the traverse 2 forms the roof of the portal, as it were. In addition to the barbell 1 with weights 9, 10, the equipment carrier 3, 4 consisting of the base carrier 3 and the functional carrier 4, the cable pulleys 5, 6 attached to its functional carrier 4 and the cable pulleys 5, 6 guided over these are also here , The barbell 1 supporting ropes 7, 8 essential elements of this variant of the training device. This variant also has a fall brake 11, which cannot be seen in detail here.

At this point it should be emphasized again that the 1 in a variant for ceiling mounting and in the 3 The embodiment shown as a portal variant of the training device according to the invention can essentially be converted into a second basic embodiment by simply changing the function carrier 4, in which a tensile force is imparted to a person exercising or their arms by means of the barbell 1.
