Description

The invention relates to a stylus or pen which can easily be carried in a handbag or jacket pocket and which allows nail gel to be applied quickly and safely to a fingernail and then cured using UV light. In a special version, the pen can contain an RFID or NFC chip, i.e. a transponder chip, so that it can be placed on a fingernail using nail gel or self-adhesive and covered with gel so that it is held in place by the gel or gel polish becomes, either visible in the case of clear coat or invisible with top coat or gel. The chip can be concealed under or on top of the nail polish or a nail treatment system (gel polish, acrylic, wrap or the like). In this way, an RFID chip can be elegantly attached to a natural or artificial finger or toenail.

Ordinary nail polish lasts about 2 to 3 days after application, after which it becomes brittle and may chip. Out of DE 10 2012 016952 A1 is a pen with a closable cavity known to hold gel polish and a brush to apply the polish to the fingernail (paragraph 44). This pen also includes a battery (paragraph 50) and an LED LEV lamp for UV light to cure the applied paint (paragraphs 44-50). Also JP 2005 118207 A shows such a pen, with brush 66, cavity 68, gel varnish 7 therein, battery 58 and LED 16, 18 mentioned in sections 59-64 and in figure 2 shown.

Against this technical background, it is the object of the present invention to create such a portable utensil, which contains everything necessary to be able to safely apply a nail gel on the go and to cure it on the nail using UV light, but which makes it possible , to also contain everything you need and therefore always have it with you to connect an RFID chip securely, unobtrusively and non-invasively to a human body in such a way that it can be carried anywhere and for all activities securely on the body and still have the RFID chip can be removed or replaced at any time.

This problem is solved by a pen with a closable cavity for holding gel varnish and with a brush for applying it to a fingernail, and a battery/rechargeable battery operated LED LEV lamp (11) for UV light for curing of GEL paints (14) applied with a brush to a fingernail, and which is characterized in that it contains one or more RFID chips in a further closable cavity, to be removed and placed on a fingernail and attached thereto by means of gel Paint.

From the outside, the pen is shaped like a writing pen, with a similar thickness and length as in figure 1 shown. This means that it can be taken anywhere in a jacket pocket or in a handbag and is always ready to hand. This pen contains several cavities and consists of a pen body 1 and a cover cap 2 that can be attached or screwed onto it ) 11 installed, so an LED or LEV lamp 11, which is enclosed and protected by an outwardly opening inner cone 13. A clip 16, preferably made of metal, allows the pin to be secured when it is carried in an inside pocket of a jacket, for example. This clip 16 can also be porous or have a rough surface so that it is suitable for filing a natural or artificial nail. In addition, in a special embodiment, the pin can serve as a container for one or more chips, as will be shown.

In figure 2 the pen is shown in a side view. Opposite the clip 16, in the front area, you can see a switch 12 for switching the LED or LEV light 11 on and off, which is located in figure 1 is visible. A threaded cap 3 is screwed onto the cover cap 2 .

Anstelle einer Gewindeverbindung kann eine Steckverbindung mit schnappender Einrastung treten.the figure 3 shows the pen in a longitudinal section and thus gives a glimpse of its interior. The pen body 1 has a cavity 7 in the form of a blind hole, which is accessible when the cover cap 2 is unscrewed or pulled off. It is partly filled with a gel varnish 14 in the form of a special nail varnish, which hardens under UV light. At the lower end of the cover cap 2 there extends a brush 5 which extends axially out of the cover cap and this brush 5 can be inserted into the blind hole, ie into the cavity 7 in the pen body 1, immersing it in the gel varnish 14 it contains. The cover cap 2 can be tightly screwed to the pen body 1, for which purpose there is an external thread 6 on the pen body 1, onto which the internal thread at the lower end of the cover cap 2 can be screwed. Instead of a threaded connection, a plug-in connection with snapping engagement can occur.

The brush 5 itself consists of a plastic handle with flat bristles 17 at the end, which are suitable for applying a liquid gel varnish 14 to a fingernail. In an optional embodiment, the pen body 1 can be designed in such a way that it forms a flat compartment next to the blind hole 7 for the gel varnish 14, similar to a knife sheath, into which a nail file with or without a handle can be inserted. Then the cover cap 2 can form a handle for this nail file, for easier processing of a fingernail. At the lower end of the pen body 1, the latter has a further pocket lock, which is open at the bottom and is designed as a battery compartment, for receiving a battery 15 or a rechargeable battery. The pen body 1 can also be equipped with a photovoltaic element for continuous charging of the battery as soon as sufficient light strikes this element. In addition, the pen body 1 can be equipped with an externally accessible USB socket for plugging in a charging cable. At the lower end of the pin body 1, this forms a step and a taper, which is provided with an external thread 10. A sleeve 18 can be screwed onto this external thread 10 with its matching internal thread, enclosing and making electrical contact with the battery 15, for example a button battery for an LED or LEV light 11 at the other end of the sleeve 18, which is there in a Inner cone 13 is seated, which ends outwards towards the lower edge of the sleeve 18 . An on-off switch 12 is installed on the side of the pen body 1 in order to switch the lamp 11 on and off.

In the example shown, inside the cover cap 2 there is a cylindrical cavity 22 in the form of a blind hole. Several RFID chips 21 can be inserted into this cavity 22 and stored therein. The cavity 22 can be closed on the cover cap 2 by means of a threaded cap 3 . The cover cap 2 can be equipped with a clip 16 as in a fountain pen.

Each of these RFID chips 21 can interact with an RFID or NFC system if it is held close enough to a transmitter/receiver of an RFID or NFC system. This RFID chip 21 acts as a transponder, also known colloquially as a radio tag, and it can be located on an object or in a living being and contain an identifying code. The RFID or NFC system includes a reading device for reading the identifier of a detected RFID chip 21. RFID transponders can be as small as a grain of rice and can be implanted, for example in pets or people. In addition, there is the possibility of producing RFID or NFC transponders using a special printing process of stable circuits made of polymers. The advantages of this technology result from the combination of the small size, the inconspicuous reading option and the low price of the transponder, sometimes in the eurocent range. The coupling occurs through alternating magnetic fields generated by the reader within a short range or through high-frequency radio waves. This not only transmits data, but also supplies the transponder with energy. Active transponders with their own power supply are used to achieve greater ranges, but these are associated with higher costs. The reader contains software in the form of a microprogram that controls the actual reading process, and RFID middleware with interfaces to other IT systems and databases. By identifying the RFID chip 21 on a person, a connection to a software application can be established, which enables many different applications.

This pen, filled with gel varnish and equipped with several RFID chips 21, makes it possible to mount such a chip 21 anytime and anywhere on a natural or artificial fingernail. For this purpose, the fingernail is prepared as far as necessary with the nail file. Then the desired RFID chip 21 is removed from the blind hole 22 after the threaded cap 3 has been unscrewed and the threaded cap 3 is screwed on again in order to secure the remaining RFID chips 21 contained therein. The removal can also take place by pressing out the individual RFID or NFC chips 21 . Then the top cap 2 is unscrewed or pulled off the pen body 1 . Now you can use the brush 5 below Removal of gel varnish 14 from the blind hole 7 in the pen body 1 are applied to the fingernail. The removed RFID chip 21 can be placed directly on the natural or artificial nail, since this can already be provided with adhesive. Or this chip can be placed on the applied lacquer or gel lacquer layer on the fingernail and then painted over with lacquer so that it is completely enclosed by the lacquer or gel lacquer. Several layers of gel 14 can be applied until the RFID chip 21 is completely covered by gel lacquer. Thereafter, the cover cap 2 is screwed or pushed back onto the pen body 1, and then the switch 12 is set to ON, so that the LED or LEV lamp 11 is turned on. The emitted UV light is directed onto the gel lacquer 14 on the fingernail, which ensures that it hardens in a few seconds. After the gel lacquer 14 has hardened, the RFID chip 21 lies securely and invisibly - or, if desired, also visible, by simply coating it - on the fingernail, embedded in a layer of nail lacquer or gel 14.

In this way, different RFID chips 21 can be attached to the different fingernails of one hand. One can be used, for example, to trigger a financial transaction using the NFC identification of the paying person, who simply has to hold their fingernail with the relevant RFID chip 21 close to a transmitter/reader set up for this purpose. Another fingernail with another RFID chip 21 can be used, for example, to unlock and lock a car door, another to operate the lock on the apartment door, etc. A chip can also offer the possibility of triggering several applications.

In this embodiment the gel can be contained in a cartridge 19 which fits into the cavity 7 in the lower pen body 9. This cartridge 19 can be fitted with a brush with flat bristles 20 protruding from it and to the bristles of which there is a channel leading to the brush bristles 20 being supplied with gel directly from the cartridge by capillary action or by squeezing the cartridge. The brush is opposite the remarks after the Figures 1 to 3 Rotated by 180°, it is included in the pen and after removing the cover cap 2, the brush can be used directly with the pen. The gel cartridge 19 is accommodated in the lower pen body 9 and connected to the pen body 9 . A rotary mechanism can be realized together with the upper pen body 4, in which the cartridge is also held there. The two parts 4, 9 of the pen body can then be twisted against one another, as a result of which a cartridge 19 made of rubber-elastic material can be twisted. The gel is conveyed into the brush bristles 20 as a result of the associated reduction in the filling volume of the cartridge 19 . A flat compartment similar to a knife sheath can be provided in the pen body 1, into which a nail file can be inserted, the cover cap 2 then forming the handle of this nail file. In this case, the cover cap 2 is held on the pen body 1 by being pushed on purely axially by means of a snap-in mechanism, instead of being screwed onto it. In another variant, the nail file can also be designed at its rear end in such a way that it can be plugged together with the cover cap 2 after removal, so that the cover cap 2 serves as a handle for the nail file, or the nail file can be plugged together with the pen body 1 in a similar way be so that the pen body 1 serves as a handle.

With this pen, filled with gel polish, the gel polish can be applied to a natural or artificial fingernail anywhere, even on the go. For this purpose, the fingernail is prepared with the nail file as far as necessary. Then, with the brush 5, gel varnish 14 is removed from the blind hole-like cavity 7 in the pen body 1 and applied to the fingernail so that it is covered completely or as desired by the varnish or gel varnish. Multiple layers of Gel 14 can be applied. Thereafter, the top cap 2 is screwed or pushed back onto the pen body, and then the switch 12 is set to ON, so that the LED or LEV lamp 11 is turned on and emits UV light. The emitted UV light is directed onto the gel lacquer 14 on the fingernail, which ensures that it hardens in a few seconds. Thus, the gel can be instantly cured in situ. In this way, you can use the other hand and this utensil to apply gel varnish to the fingernails and harden them on the different fingernails of one hand.
