Definitions
- the present invention relates to the field of modular objects, and relates in particular to a construction panel, to an associated kit and to an associated modular object.
- Packaging is three-dimensional objects intended to contain and protect goods in order to store and/or transport them.
- European patent application EP1660314A1 discloses a package consisting of several panels each having crenellated edges, each edge of the package being formed by intermingling two crenellated edges of two separate panels and then inserting a rod into through bores formed in the two intermixed crenellated edges.
- the assembly and disassembly of this packaging are not easy. Indeed, the user must insert a rod over the entire length of each edge when assembling the packaging, and must completely remove each rod when dismantling the packaging.
- the locking means, i.e. the rods, of this packaging are not integrated into the panels, so that there is a risk of losing these rods when the packaging is not mounted.
- Chinese patent application CN85104264A discloses a package consisting of a plurality of convex polygonal-shaped package panels having crenellated edges in which through bores are formed, sliding latches being provided in some of these through bores to allow the interlocking of two interlocking crenellated edges of two separate panels .
- the user when assembling this packaging, the user must push all of the sliding latches one by one to allow the edges of the packaging to be locked, which makes assembly of the packaging very tedious.
- the user when disassembling the packaging, the user must push the set of sliding latches one by one in the opposite direction to allow the unlocking of the edges of the packaging, which makes the dismantling of the packaging also very tedious.
- the present invention aims to solve the drawbacks of the prior state of the art, by proposing a construction panel having a convex polygonal shape, each of the edges of which has a crenellated pattern consisting of at least two projections each comprising a longitudinal bore crossing in which is provided with a sliding locking device.
- a three-dimensional modular object such as a modular packaging, a modular piece of furniture or a modular partition, can thus be formed by intermingling the edges of several panels two by two, the locking devices by sliding integrated in all the projections of the panels allowing easy locking/unlocking of panel interlocks.
- the present invention therefore relates to a construction panel, said panel having a convex polygonal shape, each of the edges of the panel having, over its entire length, a crenellated pattern consisting of at least two projections in each of which is formed a longitudinal bore through, characterized in that a sliding locking device is disposed in each longitudinal through bore of the panel, said sliding locking device having a length identical to that of the associated through longitudinal bore and being able to take one of an unlocked position in which the locking device by sliding is completely retracted inside the associated longitudinal through-bore and a locked position in which the locking device by sliding partially comes out of the associated longitudinal through-bore, wherein, for each edge of the panel, the v devices locking by sliding of the corresponding castellated pattern are configured to slide in the same direction to pass from the unlocked position to the locked position, such that, when one of the castellated patterns of the panel is intermingled with a complementary castellated pattern of a edge of another panel, when passing into the locked position, each sliding locking device of said castell
- a modular object such as a package, a piece of furniture or a partition, can be formed by intermingling two by two the crenellated edges of several panels.
- the modularity of the packaging allows packaging as close as possible to the products which are stored and/or transported, for space saving and optimal packaging of fragile or non-fragile solid products. .
- the panels according to the invention can also be used in the field of furniture and building in order to construct furniture or partitions.
- Sliding locking devices which are directly integrated into the panels, allow easy locking/unlocking of the panel interlocks.
- each locking device by sliding entering the adjacent projection of said intertwining and pushing the adjacent locking device, which makes it possible to greatly facilitate the locking of the interlocking by the user.
- the sliding locking devices of all the projections of the same crenellated edge thus have their locking position on the same side of the panel.
- the user will simply have to push the locking device by sliding located at the other end of said intermingling in order to cause the sliding, in the opposite direction, of all the locking devices by sliding said intertwining, each locking device by sliding then returning entirely to its own protrusion, which greatly facilitates the unlocking of the entanglement by the user.
- the locking devices by sliding of the same crenelated pattern being configured to slide in the same direction to pass from the unlocked position to the locked position, all of the locking devices by sliding of an edge intermingled with the edge of another panel can thus be moved simultaneously by a single operator gesture, thus avoiding a multitude of locking actions.
- said panel has a square or rectangular shape, the height of the at least two projections of each crenellated pattern being equal to the thickness of the panel.
- the square or rectangular shape of the panels makes it possible, for example, to produce modular packaging in the form of a box.
- the panels may have a square shape of 20 cm x 20 cm or 40 cm x 40 cm, or a rectangular shape of 20 cm x 40 cm.
- the panels thus make it possible to form all types of packaging, furniture or partitions having different sizes and shapes.
- the at least two projections of each crenellated pattern are removably fixed to the corresponding edge of the panel.
- the protrusions can be mounted on the edges of the panel, and then fixed by screwing, riveting or gluing.
- only the projections can be produced by plastic injection, which makes it possible to reduce the manufacturing costs of the panel.
- each castellated pattern protrusion has a retaining mechanism configured to retain the locking device by sliding in one of the unlocked position and the locked position.
- the retaining mechanism makes it possible to prevent the displacement of the locking device by sliding in the associated projection, so as to guarantee that the locking device by sliding remains in the unlocked position or in the locked position, when the latter is not is not requested.
- each locking device by sliding comprises an elongated body able to slide in the longitudinal through bore of the associated projection, said elongated body comprising a first end carrying a first metal element and a second opposite end carrying a second metallic member, the sliding locking device further comprising a rod extending axially from the first end of the elongated body, the retaining mechanism comprising an annular magnet fixedly disposed in the bore longitudinal crossing of the associated projection and traversed by said rod, such that, in the unlocked position, the elongated body is entirely in the longitudinal crossing bore of the associated projection and the first metal element carried by the first end of the body elongated is in contact with the ring magnet, and in the position ver obtained by pushing said rod towards the inside of the longitudinal through bore, the second end of the elongated body is outside the longitudinal through bore of the associated projection and the second element metal carried by the second end of the elongated body is configured to be in contact with the annular magnet of the longitudinal bore passing through the adjacent projection of another
- the magnet must be designed so as to no longer retain the sliding locking device retained when the latter is stressed by being pushed by the user or by another sliding locking device.
- the first and second metal elements carried by the first and second ends of the elongated body can, for example, be metal washers.
- the retaining mechanism could also consist of a pin, without departing from the scope of the present invention.
- the locking device by sliding also comprises a stop arranged in a fixed manner in the longitudinal through bore of the associated projection, at the level of a peripheral recess made in the elongated body so as to limit the travel of the elongated body in the longitudinal through bore.
- the stop makes it possible to prevent the elongated body from coming entirely out of its projection in the unlocked position.
- the locking device by sliding further comprises a cylinder fitted in the longitudinal through bore of the associated projection, said cylinder containing the annular magnet at one of its ends and being flared at the other of its ends.
- the provision of the magnet at one of the ends of the cylinder makes it possible to fix the position of the magnet in the longitudinal through bore of the projection, said end of the cylinder carrying the magnet being placed inside the through longitudinal bore, the length of the cylinder being identical to that of the rod of the locking device by sliding.
- the other end of the cylinder is disposed at one of the ends of the longitudinal through bore of the projection, and is flared so as to facilitate introducing into the cylinder the second end of the elongated body of another locking device by sliding into the locked position.
- each locking device by sliding comprises a movable rod whose length is identical to that of the longitudinal through bore of the associated projection, the retaining mechanism consisting of a first annular magnet arranged fixed manner in the longitudinal through bore of the associated projection and through which said movable rod passes, a second annular magnet being mounted in sliding manner on the movable rod, the end of the movable rod on the second annular magnet side being flared so as to prevent the disengagement of the second annular magnet, the locking device by sliding further comprising a stopper fixedly disposed in the longitudinal through bore of the associated projection so as to limit the travel of the second annular magnet in the longitudinal through bore, the movable rod carrying a stop washer located between the stopper and the first ring magnet for handling era to limit the travel of the movable rod in the longitudinal through bore, so that, in the unlocked position, the movable rod is entirely in the longitudinal through bore of the associated projection, the stop washer is in abutment against the first ring magnet and the second ring
- the first annular magnet arranged in the projection makes it possible either to retain the locking device by sliding of said projection in the unlocked position by contact of the stop washer of the movable rod against the first annular magnet, or to retain the second annular magnet of the locking device by adjacent sliding of the adjacent projection of another panel in the locked position.
- the locking device by sliding according to this variant of the present invention thus makes it possible to obtain an automatic linear locking by magnetic attraction.
- the second ring magnets are automatically attracted to the first ring magnets of the following protrusions and come into contact against the latter, the second ring magnets also moving their associated movable rods as they move.
- the second annular magnet of the last protrusion of the intermingling remains stationary since it has no adjacent first annular magnet, the mobile rod of the last protrusion coming out for its part partially from its protrusion by being pushed by the rod mobile from the previous mating. Locking is permanent until human intervention by pressure on the movable rod of the last protrusion of the intermingling.
- the second ring magnets come out only if the following protrusions of the intermingling (i.e., the first adjacent ring magnets) are present, which is not the case for the movable rod of the last protrusion of the intermingling which will serve as a return rod and will come out to allow the unlocking of the intermingling.
- the locking devices could also be pneumatic, hydraulic or even electric locks, without departing from the scope of the present invention.

- Each of the six sides of the modular packaging 7 is made using a panel 1.
- the modular packaging 7 is made by intermingling the crenellated edges of the six panels 1 two by two to form the edges of the modular packaging 7.
- each device of sliding lock 5 of the first and second castellated patterns 2 partially enters the longitudinal through bore 4 of the adjacent projection 3 of the other panel and pushes the sliding locking device 5 of said adjacent projection 3 of the other panel 1 , which makes it possible to carry out a locking in series.
- the locking devices by sliding 5 of the same crenellated edge being configured to slide in the same direction to pass from the unlocked position to the locked position, the set of locking devices by sliding 5 of an edge intermingled with the edge of another panel 1 can thus be moved simultaneously by a single operator gesture, thus avoiding a multitude of locking actions.
- the sliding locking devices 5 integrated in the panels 1 thus make it possible to facilitate the locking/unlocking of the edges of the modular packaging 7.
- the height of the projections 3 of each panel 1 is equal to the thickness of the panel 1, which makes it possible to obtain wedge-shaped edges at 90°.
- the panels 1 of the modular packaging 7 may have dimensions of 20 cm x 20 cm or 40 cm x 40 cm.

- the user will have to push the accessible rod 12 of the sliding locking device 5 located at one of the ends of said assembly, so that the second end of each elongated body 9 will enter the projection 3 adjacent and will be retained by the magnet 13 of the adjacent projection 3, except for the second end of the last elongated body 9 which will come out of its projection 3 and will thus be accessible by the user (as shown in Figure 5b ).
- the user will then simply have to press on this second accessible end of the last elongated body 9 to unlock the assembly.
- the elongated body 9 carries peripheral longitudinal fins 14, said fins 14 allowing the guidance of the elongated body 9 in the associated longitudinal through bore 4.
- the elongated body 9 further comprises a peripheral recess 15 formed between the first metal element 10 and the fins 14, said peripheral recess 15 making it possible to limit the travel of the elongated body 9 as will be described in more detail in Figures 7 and 8 .
- the second end of the elongated body 9 carrying the second metal element 11 has a tapered shape 16. If we refer to the Figures 7 and 8 , it can be seen that there is shown the sliding locking device 5 according to the particular embodiment of the invention.

- the sliding locking device 5 On the Picture 7 , the sliding locking device 5 is in the unlocked position and the fins 14 are in abutment against the ring 17. On the contrary, on the Picture 8 , the sliding locking device 5 is in the locked position and the first metal element 10 is in abutment against the ring 17.
- the ring 17 thus makes it possible to limit the stroke of the elongated body 9 between the unlocked position and the locked position.
- the sliding locking device 5 further comprises a cylinder 18 fitted in the longitudinal through bore 4 of the associated projection 3, said cylinder 18 containing the annular magnet 13 at one of its ends and being flared at the other from its ends.
- the arrangement of the magnet 13 at one of the ends of the cylinder 18 makes it possible to fix the position of the magnet 13 inside the longitudinal through bore 4 of the associated projection 3.
- the length of the cylinder 18 is identical to that of the rod 12 of the locking device by sliding 5, so that, when the first metal element 10 is in contact with the magnet 13, the free end of the rod 12 found at the outlet of the flared end of cylinder 18.
- the flared end of the cylinder 18 facilitates the introduction into the cylinder 18 of the second tapered end 16 of the elongated body 9 of another sliding locking device 5.
- Panel 19 according to the second embodiment is identical to panel 1 according to the first embodiment. embodiment, except that it further has a central opening 20 formed in its thickness.

- the projections 3 are elements removably fixed by screwing to the edges of each of the panels 30a, 30b, 30c.
- the two upper projections 3 of the panel 30a have been shown unmounted, and the right edge of the panel 30b and the left edge of the panel 30c have been shown without a projection.
- Each projection 3 has two parallel interlocking flanges 3a capable of interlocking on the corresponding edge of the panel 30a, 30b, 30c at the level of an interlocking recess 34.
- Each protrusion interlocking wing 3a has a through-hole 3b, and each panel interlocking recess 34 also has a through-hole 34a, so as to allow the protrusions 3 to be fixed to the panels 30a, 30b, 30c by screwing.

- the additional connecting pieces 31, 32 and the additional joining piece 33 thus make it possible to assemble the panels 30a, 30b, 30c in the same plane to form a larger panel.
- the sliding locking device 5' comprises a movable rod 35 whose length is identical to that of the longitudinal through bore 4 of the associated projection 3.
- the sliding locking device 5' further comprises, as a retaining mechanism, a first annular magnet 36 fixedly arranged in the longitudinal through bore 4 of the associated projection 3 and through which the movable rod 35 passes.
- the sliding locking device 5' further comprises a second annular magnet 37 mounted in sliding manner on the movable rod 35, the end 35a of the movable rod 35 on the second annular magnet side 37 being flared so as to prevent the disengagement of the second ring magnet 37.
- the sliding locking device 5' further comprises a stop 38 fixedly arranged in the longitudinal through bore 4 of the associated projection 3 and through which the movable rod 35 passes, so as to limit the travel of the second annular magnet 37 in the longitudinal bore through 4.
- the movable rod 35 carries a stop washer 39 located between the abutment 38 and the first annular magnet 36, so as to limit the travel of the movable rod 35 in the longitudinal through bore 4.

- the face of the first annular magnet 36 on the abutment side 38 is positively polarized, while the other opposite face of the first annular magnet 36 is negatively polarized.
- the movable rod 35 is located entirely in the longitudinal through bore 4 of the associated projection 3, the stop washer 39 is in abutment against the first annular magnet 36 and the second annular magnet 37 is sandwiched between the end flared 35a of the movable rod 35 and the stop 38.
- the stop washer 39 is found against the abutment 38, and a part of the second annular magnet 37 is found outside the longitudinal through bore 4 of the associated projection 3 and is configured to be attracted, by magnetic attraction, by the first annular magnet 36 of the longitudinal through bore 4 of the next projection 3 of the intermingling of panel edges.
- the sliding locking device 5' thus makes it possible to obtain automatic linear locking by magnetic attraction. Indeed, when the projections 3 of two crenellated edges of two panels are intermingled, the second annular magnets 37 are automatically attracted by the first annular magnets 36 of the following projections 3 and come into contact against the latter, the second annular magnets 37 also displacing their movable rods 35 associated during their movement.
- the second annular magnet 37 of the last projection 3 of the entanglement (on the left on the Picture 14 ) remains stationary since it has no first ring magnet 36 adjacent, the movable rod 35 of this last projection 3 coming out for its part partially from its projection 3 by being pushed by the movable rod 35 of the previous projection 3.
- the locking is permanent until human intervention by pressing on the flared end 35a of the movable rod 35 of this last projection 3 of the intermingling.
- the flared ends 35a of the other movable rods 35 allow the second annular magnets 37 to return to their unlocked position.
- Each of the two panels 40 has a square shape having a central opening 40a, said central opening 40a being able to accommodate any type of wall.
- Each of the edges of the two panels 40 has a groove of rectangular section in which is formed a crenelated pattern 2 comprising three parallelepiped projections 3, each projection 3 comprising a longitudinal through bore 4 in which is arranged a locking device by sliding 5 or 5 ' .
- the additional corner piece 41 has a substantially square cross section.
- Two adjacent faces 41a and 41b of the additional corner piece 41 each has a groove of rectangular section in which is formed a crenellated pattern 2 comprising three parallelepipedal projections 3 in each of which is formed a longitudinal through bore 4 in which is arranged a device locking by sliding 5 or 5'.
- the crenellated pattern face 41a of the additional corner piece 41 can thus intertwine with one of the complementary crenellated pattern edges of one of the panels 40, the sliding locking devices 5 or 5' of said panel 40 and said face 41a making it possible to lock the entanglement.
- crenelated pattern face 41b of the additional corner piece 41 can also intertwine with one of the complementary crenellated pattern edges of the other of the panels 40, the sliding locking devices 5 or 5' of said panel 40 and said face 41b for locking the entanglement.
- the additional corner piece 41 thus makes it possible to assemble the two panels 40 at an angle of 90°.
- edges of the panels 40 and the faces 41a and 41b of the additional corner piece 41 could also comprise any number of projections 3, without departing from the scope of the present invention.
- the two faces 41a and 41b of the additional corner piece 41 could also be inclined with respect to each other by an angle greater or less than 90°, without deviating from the frame of the present invention.
- seals are arranged on the upper parts of the grooves of the edges of the panels 40 and/or of the grooves of the faces 41a and 41b of the additional corner piece 41, so as to seal the assembled final container.
- Each of the two panels 42 has a square shape having a central opening 42a, said opening central 42a being able to accommodate any type of walls.
- Each of the edges of the two panels 42 has a groove of semicircular section in which is formed a crenellated pattern 2 comprising three cylindrical projections 3, each projection 3 comprising a longitudinal through bore 4 in which is arranged a sliding locking device 5 or 5'.
- the additional corner piece 43 has two adjacent and perpendicular faces 43a and 43b.
- Each of said two faces 43a and 43b of the additional corner piece 43 have a groove of semicircular section in which is formed a crenellated pattern 2 comprising three cylindrical projections 3 in each of which is formed a longitudinal through bore 4 in which is arranged a sliding locking device 5 or 5'.
- the crenellated pattern face 43a of the additional corner piece 43 can thus intertwine with one of the complementary crenellated pattern edges of one of the panels 42, the sliding locking devices 5 or 5' of said panel 42 and said face 43a making it possible to lock the entanglement.
- the crenellated pattern face 43b of the additional corner piece 43 can also intertwine with one of the complementary crenellated pattern edges of the other of the panels 42, the sliding locking devices 5 or 5' of said panel 42 and said face 43b making it possible to lock the entanglement.
- the additional corner piece 43 thus makes it possible to assemble the two panels 42 at an angle of 90°.
- edges of the panels 42 and the faces 43a and 43b of the additional corner piece 43 could also include any number of projections 3, without departing from the scope of the present invention.
- the two faces 43a and 43b of the additional corner piece 43 could also be inclined with respect to each other by an angle greater or less than 90°, without deviating from the frame of the present invention.
- seals are arranged on the upper parts of the grooves of the edges of the panels 42 and/or of the grooves of the faces 43a and 43b of the additional corner piece 43, so as to seal the assembled final container.
