Description

The present invention relates to an assembly consisting of a container with a nozzle for dispensing the substance contained in the container and a cap for covering the nozzle. Such assemblies can be used in particular to dispense an adhesive and/or a sealant.

Assemblies of the type described above are well known. The cap sometimes serves to prevent the substance contained in the container from drying out or to prevent the nozzle from getting dirty.

For example, the EP0696993B1 an assembly comprising a container with a nozzle for dispensing an adhesive contained in the container and a cap for covering the nozzle. The cap can thereby be brought into engagement with a protruding locking element and connected to the container by means of a rotating movement. Another example of such an assembly is that EP1091884B1 here a connecting means having a threaded area for connecting the cap to the container is used. An assembly according to the preamble of claim 1 is with the US4230232A disclosed.

The object of the invention is to provide an improved assembly which, in particular, makes it easier for the user to handle the assembly.

This object is achieved with the features of claim 1.

Advantageous developments of the present invention are specified in the dependent claims.

The basic idea of the present invention is the provision of an assembly consisting of a container with a nozzle for dispensing the substance contained in the container and a cap for covering the nozzle, the container having a first connection area which is connected to a corresponding second connection area of the cap can be brought, the connection areas being selected in such a way that the connection of container and cap by means of the connection areas takes place at least partially via a rotary movement of container and cap relative to one another, the cap having an interior space surrounded by a jacket which is used to accommodate the nozzle is open on one side, the shell having an end face on its open side, and the container having a top side pointing in the direction of the cap with a top edge, the connecting areas being selected in such a way and the end side being adapted to the top side and its top edge in such a way that with a connection of container and cap in a first In the intermediate position of the cap, the front side comes into contact with the top side and, with a further rotary movement of container and cap relative to one another, the front side is pressed against the top side and finally the cap reaches a second end position, with the front side overcoming the top edge.

Such an assembly has the advantage that the user is given the opportunity to obtain information about the locking status of the assembly. In the first intermediate position of the cap, the end face comes into contact with the top side of the container and, with further rotation, overcomes the top edge of the container in order to reach its final position. This overcoming, which can ideally be designed as a snapping or over-locking, can give the user an audible and/or tactile feedback, for example in the form of a clicking sound, that the cap has reached the end position and that the nozzle is now securely closed by the cap is. The cap and/or the container can be made from an elastic material, at least in some areas, which is placed under tension when the front side is pressed onto the top side and relaxes when the top edge is reached and overcome, so that the result described above is achieved . The cap and/or the container are preferably made of a plastic material. For example, the cap and/or container can be made of a polymer material, such as a polyethylene (PE) or a polypropylene (PP). In a preferred embodiment, the bottle and the nozzle are made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and the cap is made of polypropylene (PP).

At least one of the connection areas can be designed in the form of a thread or at least like a thread and have at least one pitch. A bayonet-like design is also conceivable. Said cover side of the container can be configured flat and in the form of a flat plane, for example in the form of a container shoulder.

However, other forms of the cover page are also conceivable. The top side can also be designed as just the top side of a wall or part of the container if only the top side can contact the front side of the cap and the top edge of the top side can be overcome with further rotation.

According to the invention, a lower cover side pointing in the direction of the cap is also provided, which adjoins a step starting from the cover edge described above, the lower cover side being arranged in such a way that the end face in the second end position of the cap is in contact with the lower cover side reached. Such a configuration makes it possible, for example, to have a particularly tight assembly, since the interior is particularly easy to seal. The height of the step is particularly preferably in a range from 0.1 mm to 1 mm, particularly preferably in a range from 0.3 mm to 0.5 mm. In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the step can have a height of 0.4 mm.

A further advantage is the arrangement of a securing means on the cap and/or on the container in order to secure the cap on the container in the second end position. This securing means can be designed, for example, as a protruding cam on one component of the assembly, which engages in a corresponding recess of the corresponding other component. It is conceivable for the cam to extend in the direction of the nozzle, ie forward. Of course, the cam can also extend laterally away from the nozzle. With such an assembly, the user can be provided with a container that can be closed securely and recognizable and from which he can assume that it will also remain closed.

In an advantageous further development it is provided that the container has a stop in order to prevent the container and cap from rotating relative to one another beyond the second end position. This stop can be designed, for example, as a protruding stop element on the connection area of a component of the assembly, against which the corresponding other component strikes. Of course it is also conceivable that both components, ie cap and container, have corresponding stops in order to enable a particularly effective limitation of the rotary movement. Overtightening can be avoided by using a stop, so that the connection areas in particular are not damaged if the user operates incorrectly.

A further advantage is the formation of the deck in two halves extending outwardly on two opposite sides of the nozzle, the angles between an axis of the nozzle and each half of the deck being greater than 90°. In a side view, the two halves would be arranged in a V-shape with the apex pointing towards an application opening of the nozzle. A particularly simple dispensing of the substance contained in the container can be made possible with such a design, since the nozzle in the described form protrudes from the laterally sloping halves of the top side. In an advantageous further development, the two halves are of two-dimensional design. In an advantageous further development, the cap is designed correspondingly so that the jacket of the cap is designed in such a way that the end face consists of two halves which extend obliquely outwards in accordance with the described shape of the top face. Ideally, the container and the cap are designed in such a way that the end face runs parallel to the adjacent cover side of the container in the second end position. Such a configuration can also simplify said feedback for the consumer and reduce the resistance to overcoming the top edge of the container.

Alternatively, of course, instead of a flat design of the halves of the cover sides, a rounding of the cover sides on both sides of the nozzle is also conceivable. The end face of the cap would preferably be designed to correspond to this.

In an advantageous development, the top edge lies in two planes which extend outwards on two opposite sides of the nozzle, the angles between the axis of the nozzle and the respective planes of the top edge being greater than 90°. In a side view, the two halves would also be arranged in a V-shape here, with the apex pointing in the direction of an application opening of the nozzle. Ideally, this advantageous embodiment is combined with the variant described above, in which the top side also consists of two halves, which extend outwards on two opposite sides of the nozzle, the angles between an axis of the nozzle and the respective half of the top side being greater than are 90°. In an advantageous further development, the cap is designed correspondingly so that the jacket is designed in such a way that the end face consists of two halves which extend obliquely outwards in accordance with the described shape of the top edge. Ideally, the container and the cap are designed in such a way that the end face runs parallel to the adjacent top edge of the container in the second end position. Said feedback for the consumer can also be simplified by this design and the resistance to overcoming the top edge of the container can be reduced.

A further advantage is the use of a container with an outer wall, the outer wall of the container and the jacket of the cap being selected and matched to one another in such a way that they are aligned with one another in the second end position of the cap. With such a solution, better handling of the assembly can be made possible since, for example, protruding edges in the transition area between cap and container can be avoided.

A further advantage is the provision of an attachment, which in particular contains the nozzle, the top side and the top edge, and which can be connected to the container by means of connection means in order to form one of the two components of the assembly - now consisting of the container with the attachment. In this way, a simple production of a complex object can be guaranteed.

In an advantageous development, the nozzle has an application opening and the cap has a pin or a pin-shaped element, suitable and designed to close the application opening, with the pin or the pin-shaped element being arranged at least in regions in the application opening in the second end position of the cap. to close them. In this way, drying out of the substance in the container can be avoided, for example. It can also be ensured that no foreign bodies get into the application opening.

A further advantage is the provision of a described assembly, wherein the container contains an adhesive and/or sealant that can be dispensed via the nozzle, and consequently also use of the assembly to dispense an adhesive and/or sealant contained in the container.

Die Düse ist Teil eines Aufsatzes 5, der Bestandteil des Behälters 1 ist oder zumindest - wie im vorliegenden Fall - fest mit dem Behälter 1 verbunden ist. figure 1 shows a perspective view of an assembly according to the invention having a container 1 containing a flowable adhesive composition in the form of a silane-crosslinking polymer and a cap 19 connected to the container 1. Both components are made of a plastic material. In the illustrated second end position of the cap 19, this covers a nozzle, not shown, which is used to dispense the adhesive composition. The nozzle is part of an attachment 5 which is part of the container 1 or at least--as in the present case--is firmly connected to the container 1.

The cap 19 can be separated from the container 1 to dispense the adhesive composition. This is with figure 2 shown. The now exposed nozzle 17 protrudes centrally from the attachment 5 in the distal direction. To mount the cap 19, the nozzle has an external thread 14 which can be brought into engagement with a corresponding connection means of the cap 19, so that the connection of the container 1 and the cap 19 can take place via a rotary movement of both components relative to one another. The cap 19 has a jacket 22 which surrounds an interior space 20 which is open on one side to accommodate the nozzle 17, the jacket 22 having an end face 21 on its open side. The attachment 5 is designed like a rafter, with its tip pointing in the distal direction and with the nozzle 7 being arranged at the height of its tip is. The cap 19 in turn has a shape corresponding to the rafter-like design of the attachment 5 on its casing 22 and on its end face 21 .

Here the attachment 5 of the container 1 is shown again with all its elements. Attachment 5 has an outer wall 6 which is flush with the outer wall of the container 1 in order to enable the user to handle the assembly as well as possible. The outer wall 6 ends in a plateau in the form of a cover side 12, from the center of which a cylindrical extension 13 extends in the distal direction, to which the nozzle 17 with an application opening 18 is connected. In the area facing the extension 13, the nozzle 17 has said external thread 14 and a protruding locking element 15. A stop 16 is also provided, which serves to limit the rotational movement of the cap, which is not shown. The transition area between the outer wall 6 and the cover side 12 has a stepped design, in that the outer wall 6 is delimited by a lower cover edge 8 , which is adjoined by a lower cover side 9 essentially at right angles to the outer wall 6 . The lower cover side 8 is designed in the form of a narrow plateau-shaped ring running around the nozzle 17 . A further top edge 11 , which forms the transition to said top side 12 , adjoins the bottom top side 8 with a step 10 . The step 10 has a height of 0.4mm. Due to the rafter-like design of the attachment 5 described above, the top side 12 consists of two halves which extend outwards on two opposite sides of the nozzle 17, with the angles between an axis of the nozzle 17 and the respective half of the top side 12 being greater than 90° in each case ° are. The same applies to the top edge 11, which also follows the rafter-like design of the attachment 5 and therefore lies in two planes that extend outwards on two opposite sides of the nozzle 17, the angle between the axis of the nozzle 17 and the respective plane of the Top edge 11 are each greater than 90 °.

Der behälterseitige Teil der Verbindungsmittel 4 ist dabei an einem vorstehenden Ausgabefortsatz 2 angeordnet, in dem sich ein Ausgabekanal 3 für die im Behälter 1 befindliche Klebstoffzusammensetzung befindet. figure 4 Figure 12 shows a sectional side view of the assembly figure 1 during the fitting of the cap 19, which can also be seen in a sectional view. The interior space 20 , which is enclosed by the jacket 22 , can now be seen here. In the proximal direction, the jacket 22 ends in the end face 21 with an inner end edge 27. In the interior space 20 there is a mounting area 24 in the form of a sleeve with an internal thread 25, which in the exemplary embodiment shown is already partially engaged with the external thread 7 of the nozzle 17 has been. A receiving space 26 , which is provided for the front area of the nozzle 17 , adjoins the mounting area 24 in the distal direction. On the front side, the receiving space 26 is equipped with a protruding pin 23 which, when the cap 19 is placed on the container 1, engages in the application opening 18 and seals it tightly. The figure shown also shows that the attachment 5 is firmly and captively connected to the container 1 via suitable connecting means 4 - in the exemplary embodiment shown, the attachment 5 has been pressed onto the container - and can therefore be regarded as part of the container 1 . The part of the connecting means 4 on the container side is arranged on a projecting dispensing extension 2 in which a dispensing channel 3 for the adhesive composition in the container 1 is located.

By further twisting the cap 19 relative to the container 1, the cap 19 finally comes into its own figure 5 shown first intermediate position. The distance between the cap 19 and the container 1 has further decreased as a result of the rotation, so that the end face 21 has now come into contact with the opposite top face 12 of the attachment 5 . Further rotation of the cap 19 relative to the container 1 places the cap 19 under tension due to the plastic material being used. With a further rotational movement of container 1 and cap 19 relative to each other, the cap 19 finally reaches the with figure 6 illustrated second end position, wherein the end face 21 overcomes the top edge 11, wherein the cap 19, which is prestressed as described above, relaxes when it reaches the top edge 11 and overcomes it. This overcoming is designed as over-locking and gives the user an audible and tactile click, so that he knows that the cap 19 has reached the end position and further turning is not necessary. In the with figure 6 The second end position shown, the cap 19 rests with its front side 21 on the lower cover side 19 in order to enable a tight seal between the cap 19 and the attachment 5 and thus the container 1. Furthermore, the casing 22 of the cap 19 and the outer wall 6 of the attachment 5 and the outer wall of the container 1 are aligned with one another in the state shown in order to provide the user with an assembly which is easy to handle.

This in figure 3 The protruding latching element 15 shown is used as a securing means and engages in the second end position shown in a corresponding recess of the mounting area 24 of the cap 19 in order to secure the cap 19 on the container 1 in the second end position. In addition, the mounting area 24 has a figure 3 shown stop 16 corresponding stop portion to prevent a rotational movement of container 1 and cap 19 relative to each other beyond the second end position.
