  • the present invention regards the field of injection molding of thermoplastic materials. More in detail, the method subject of the present patent application regards a double- or multi- injection molding, for obtaining mechanically constrained multi-material components, avoiding gluing.
  • the double-injection technique is characterised by the injection of two different materials into the same cavity, but through two different nozzles. In case of injection of more than two materials, then we have multi -injection.
  • This over-molding technique uses a rotatable hydraulic or electrical plate. One half of the mold is fixed on this plate, mounted on the movable plane of the pressing machine in vertical position. After injecting the first material, by means of the main injection unit, the rotary plate displaces the mold and positions it so as to allow the injection of the second material.

  • This retractable projection can also advantageously take on a second retracted configuration, which does not project into the interspace, letting the injected thermoplastic material to spread to all available spaces.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un moule et procédé de moulage par injection multiple permettant d'obtenir un produit (10) constitué d'un premier matériau (11) et d'au moins un deuxième matériau (12), ledit moule étant pourvu d'au moins un élément saillant rétractable, approprié pour adopter une première configuration, allongée, apte à faire saillie dans l'espace intermédiaire du moule pendant l'injection du premier matériau (11) de sorte à créer au moins un logement dans le premier matériau (11) ; ledit élément saillant rétractable étant susceptible d'adopter une deuxième configuration, rétractée, pendant l'injection du deuxième matériau (12), de sorte à libérer le logement préalablement formé dans le premier matériau (11) et à permettre l'introduction du deuxième matériau (12) dans ledit logement, ce qui forme au moins une tête de clou (14) appropriée pour contraindre mécaniquement le premier matériau (11) avec le deuxième matériau (12).
