Definitions
- the invention relates to the field of mobile (nomadic) and portable lighting, in particular lighting of the portable type.
- a portable lamp is used in particular in the building industry to illuminate a construction site, allowing the user to easily make his lighting mobile in order to adapt to each situation.
- a portable lamp must be easily transportable, be able to operate on batteries or be able to be electrically connected to the mains, and be able to illuminate from a certain height.
- corded handlamps with fixed lighting and fitted with a suspension system compact battery-powered handlamps, including fixed lighting and a handle which allows the handlamp to be fixed at a height by suspending the handle, and those in the form of a much more imposing box storing one or more power batteries, intended to be placed on the floor, and storing a lighting which is integral with a telescopic mast in order to arrange lighting at a certain height.
- a lighting device according to the preamble of claim 1 is disclosed in document EP 2 146 136 A1 .
- the object of the invention is therefore to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks by proposing a mobile lighting device making it possible to illuminate overhead, while being easy to implement, having a size which allows lighting making it possible to remain, if necessary, at most close to the user, or even able to be kept in the hand, and necessarily guaranteeing its operation even when the lighting is on battery power.
- the mobile lighting device is in accordance with claim 1.
- the mobile lighting device comprises lighting, and a support for the lighting making it possible to arrange the lighting in height and also being with a storage function for the lighting, the device being characterized in that the lighting is removable with respect to the support and houses its own electric power supply (rechargeable), and in that the support has a body which comprises, on one on the one hand, a storage housing capable of accommodating the lighting which can if necessary be switched on in the position installed in the housing, and on the other hand, two feet capable of adopting two positions, a storage position and a functional position, the two feet, when they are in the functional position, forming with the body of the support a tripod which comprises a head on which the lighting which has been taken out of its housing can be removably fixed.
- the feet can be removable relative to the body of the support, or can be integral with the body of the support and foldable/unfoldable.
- the mobile lighting device of the invention provides multi-position lighting and uses: the removability of the lighting relative to the support allows the detachment of the lighting which can then be easily kept in hand, without be heavy and bulky, can if necessary be used in corners of a room that are difficult to access, while guaranteeing lighting, since it includes its own battery-type power supply.
- the lighting can be positioned in height thanks to its storage support which converts into a tripod and at the level of the head of which the lighting is mounted.
- the lighting can remain in place in the housing of the support and be switched on, providing a different orientation of illumination.
- the stand without being transformed into a tripod can be arranged on a surface with the lighting stored and turned on, providing yet another orientation of illumination.
- the stand When the stand is not converted into a tripod, then it retains a footprint that does not need to extend in height, which can be handy in some situations.
- the support has an elongated (oblong) shape of size equivalent to that of the two legs in order to provide the tripod.
- the storage housing is arranged in one of the main surfaces (of the body) of the support so that in the stored position in the housing, the lighting is arranged in a direction oblique to the vertical in the installed position of the tripod and can light in a direction opposite to the feet.
- the storage housing for the lighting is in the form of a recess passing through the thickness of the body of the support, in particular the lighting being intended to be held by wedging in the recess, and preferably against abutment means.
- the storage housing includes electrical connection means, such as a pair of electrical contacts, which are capable of cooperating directly with electrical connection means arranged on the lighting by inserting the lighting into the housing.
- the pair of electrical contacts of the support and the electrical connection means of the lighting are preferably directly accessible externally, and are for example in the form of metal surfaces.

- said lighting is stored in its housing, its own power supply (which operates on battery) is directly recharged by the power supply means of the support.
- the support can be connected to the mains allowing its power supply means to be recharged, and consequently to supply or recharge the battery of the lighting.
- the wired connection system preferably comprises an electrical cord which is integral with the support (and is connected to the electrical supply means) and the support comprises means for storing said cord; as a variant, the cord can be removable and can be plugged into a socket on the support opening outside the support and connected to the electrical supply means.
- the body of the support has a peripheral frame which is provided with a groove (over the entire periphery of the frame) adapted to receive a coiled electrical power cord, allowing easy storage of the cord.
- the support may include an electrical outlet connected to the power supply means of the support to be electrically connected to the support and to supply electricity to external electrical equipment such as an electric tool.
- This electrical outlet is independent of the wired connection system for supplying electricity to the power supply means of the support.
- the body of the support comprises in one of its distal ends forming the head of the tripod a projecting part whose upper edge comprises a receiving orifice, while the lighting comprises a male part capable of cooperating by insertion into said receiving hole for mounting (and fixing) the lighting on the tripod.
- the dimensions of the male part and of the receiving orifice are adapted to ensure fixing by wedging of the male part.
- the terms “upper” and “lower” are understood to mean the qualifiers of an element of the lighting device of the invention, considered when the support of the device is installed in the tripod position on a horizontal surface.
- the lighting comprises two parts (preferably elongated) foldable relative to each other (around a pivot axis transverse to the longitudinal direction of the parts), at least one of the parts comprising the lighting function (being illuminating by at least one of its main faces), while the other part forms a support and/or fixing base and houses a rechargeable power supply (of the battery type), the two parts being intended to be folded against each other in order to be able to store the lighting in the housing of the device 'lighting.
- the base comprises at one of its free distal ends (opposite to the pivot axis), on the one hand, two feet for maintaining the lighting standing alone on a flat surface, and on the other hand, without protruding from the feet, a male part with the function of fixing the lighting on the tripod of the device, and preferably with the function of suspending and/or attaching the lighting independently of its fixing on the support of the device.
- the foldable parts can be unfolded relative to each other at least up to 180° or even 200°, which makes it possible to arrange the lighting, whether or not it is on the tripod, according to multiple positions making it easy to adapt the direction of the illumination to the needs of the user.
- the retaining part makes it possible to extend the height of the part with the lighting function, therefore to extend the height of this so-called lighting part.
- the lighting may comprise, in particular in its base, means of fixing by magnetization.
- the base houses an electric power supply battery inside it, and comprises electric contacts on the outside for recharging the battery, in particular these electric contacts being intended to cooperate directly with electric contacts provided on the support of the device which will recharge the battery.

- the lighting 3 in the stowed position in its support may or may not be on, and therefore can perform its lighting function if necessary.
- the stowed position of the lighting makes it possible to power the lighting 3 electrically and/or to recharge it via the support 2.
- Lighting 3 houses its power battery within its body. Thus, as the lighting is removable relative to the support 2, it remains independent and can operate without being electrically connected to the support.
- the removability of the lighting 3 makes it possible to arrange it appropriately to the situation of use.
- Lighting 3 as such (without its support) is thus portable; the user can implement the lighting by abandoning the support 2, allowing him for example to place the lighting directly on a surface such as a floor, to arrange it in a corner, and/or to be as close as possible to an area to be lit.
- the lighting 3 is also able to be suspended or hung, independently of the support 2.

- the recessed part 22 comprises a through recess 23 whose dimensions and geometry are adapted to constitute a reception/storage housing for the lighting 3, the lighting in the stowed position in the recess not projecting out of the body of the support.
- the recess 23 passes through so as to promote, for the battery of the lighting 3, the heat exchanges with the outside, in particular the evacuation of the calories and therefore the cooling of the lighting, when the lighting is housed in said recess and that it is or has been in operation.
- lighting 3 is foldable and unfoldable according to the invention; in the reception housing/recess 23, the light 3 is in one of its folded positions, which position is called the folded position.
- the recess 23 is oblong with respect to the light 3 which is slender and preferably has a substantially parallelepipedic shape.
- Fixing of the lighting 3 in the recess 23 is made by wedging in said recess, and abutting (in planes parallel to the general surface of the recess, and therefore to the front 2C and rear 2D faces) in position folded back of the lighting against stops (lower) 24 on the front face integral with the solid part 21 and extending projecting into the recess 23, and a peripheral shoulder or at least two upper shoulders 24' at the level of the upper corners inside the recess 23, so as not to go beyond the 2D rear face and come out of the support.

- the body of the support 2 comprises on its rear face 2D two opposite longitudinal locations 42 and 43, at the limit of the frame 20 to accommodate therein in the stowed position the respective feet 40 and 41.
- the feet 40 and 41 are of length substantially equivalent to the length of the body of the support 2.
- the feet 40 and 41 are integral and adapted to be movable by pivoting from one of their distal ends ( figure 5 And 7 ) and at the upper end 2B of the body of the support 2 and of the rear face 2D.
- each of the feet is articulated around a respective axis 44, 45 which is in an oblique direction (rather than parallel) with respect to the plane of the rear face 2D so as to allow an arrangement of the feet according to a wide angular opening, c that is to say according to a larger spacing than the spacing distance of the planes integrating the parallel storage spaces 42 and 43, which results in better stability of the tripod.
- the bracket 2 can be installed upright in the form of a tripod in order to be able to arrange the lighting 3 in height.
- Lighting 3 is mounted on the tripod head (upper end 2B).
- the support 2 comprises a support and fixing means which is advantageously produced by the handle 6 of the support.
- Handle 6 has on its upper edge ( figure 1 And 3 And 4 ) an orifice 60 which is intended to receive by engagement a male part 32 of the body of the lighting 3, while the surface 32′ of the body of the lighting 2 perpendicular to the said male part comes into abutment against the edge 61 of the handle ( figure 5 And 7 ).
- This fixing by insertion (without jamming) and abutment as well as by gravity, is sufficient to carry and maintain the lighting vertically.
- the coating material of the side edges of the male part 32 is also made of elastic plastic material of the SBS type.
- the light 3 has an oblong-shaped body.
- Lighting 3 comprises two parts 30A and 30B which are foldable/unfoldable relative to each other, along at least 180°, preferably along 200°, around a hinge axis 33 perpendicular to the direction longitudinal to the body.
- the lighting 3 In the folded state of one of the parts against the other part ( figure 8 ), the lighting 3 preferably has a parallelepipedic shape which allows it to be placed vertically in the folded state while being very stable.
- one of the parts forms in the extension of the other, a longitudinal extension, making it possible to gain in height when the lighting is on its tripod.
- the first part 30A constitutes a base for supporting/fixing the lighting and for housing a battery power supply, while the second part 30B comprises the function as such of lighting.
- the lighting part 30B illuminates at least along one of its main faces 30C, while its opposite face is preferably covered with a metal coating to promote heat evacuation.
- the illuminating face 30C is the so-called outer face, which is the one opposite the base 30A, in order to illuminate towards the external environment, including in the folded and stored position or not in its support.
- the 30A base houses the lighting supply battery.
- the lighting is thus autonomous.
- the battery is recharged when the lighting is stored in housing 23 of support 2.
- the base 30A comprises for its support on a flat surface ( figure 11 And 12 ) independently of the support 2, retaining means 34A and 34B which make it possible to place the lighting 3 vertically on a surface, while the lighting part 30B rises in height relative to the base 30A.
- the support means 34A and 34B form two feet spaced apart in the continuity of the side faces (faces perpendicular to the main faces), which allows the lighting 3 to stand upright on a surface, that the lighting part 30B is folded or not (regardless of the degree of opening of the lighting part).
- the lighting part 30B In the folded position of the lighting part 30B, the latter is pressed against the base 30A, only remaining projecting from the body of the lighting 3, peripheral parts such as the peripheral zones 30 made of plastic material of the SBS, thus to protect the lighting.
- the base 30A comprises, for mounting the lighting 3 to the support 2, the male part 32 which constitutes means for fixing the lighting on the support 2.
- This male part 32 forms the end free from the body of the base 30A parallel to its main faces and perpendicular to the feet 34A and 34B.
- This male part 32 does not exceed the feet 34A and 34B, and advantageously ends in the same support plane as that of the feet 34A and 34B.
- the male part 32 is detached from the feet 34A and 34B to provide respective recesses 35A and 35B which allow the engagement of the male part 32 in the reception orifice 60 of the handle 6 of the tripod/support 2.
- the thickness of the male part 32 is adapted to cooperate by insertion without jamming with said receiving orifice 60 of the support 2.
- the bottoms 32' of the recesses 35A and 35B constitute the respective stops 32' for bearing the lighting 3 against the upper edge 61 of the handle 6 of the support 2, when the male part 32 is pushed into the orifice 60.
- the base 30A advantageously comprises means 36 for suspending the lighting 3 to suspend said lighting if necessary when the latter is not on its support 2, these suspension means 36 being constituted by a through hole arranged in the thickness of the male part 32 to provide a hooking loop.
- Lighting 3 can also comprise means of fixing by magnetization 37, for example here constituted by a magnet included in the body of the base 30A on its external face 30D.
- the lighting 3 includes an on/off operating button 38, preferably positioned in the base 30A and accessible on the outer face 30D, allowing the lighting to be switched on if necessary while it is in the fully folded position. .
- the outer face 30D is accessible in position row of the lighting, allowing the lighting to be switched on if necessary while it remains in the support 2. in the folded position, is not to dazzle the user when switching on.
- the operating button 38 comprises means for displaying the state of charge and the autonomy of the battery of the lighting 3.
- these display means comprise light-emitting diodes which illuminate through a surface transparent or translucent of the button, the different colors of the diodes corresponding to a different state of charge.
- one of the diodes lights up for a few seconds to know the state of charge of the battery according to the color of the diode.
- the lighting 3 is connected to the charging contacts 25 integral with the support 2, one of the diodes remains lit; when the diode is red, the battery of the lighting is being charged while the green color indicates that the battery is charged.
- the recess 23 being through allows, when the lighting remains housed and connected in the support, to see the means of displaying the state of charge and thus know this state of charge.
- the user can easily transport the device by the handle 6.
- the lighting In the stowed position of the lighting 3 in the support 2, the lighting can nevertheless be switched on to illuminate according to the situation of the user, by walking around the entire device or by placing it on a surface or even by suspending it via the handle 6.
- the user preferably first removes the lighting 3 from the housing 23 by holding the frame 20 of the support with one hand and pushing with the other hand on the lighting to disengage it from the recess and remove it, then he unfolds the legs 40 and 41 out of their housing by simple pivoting, the tripod is mounted and the user only has to to put it on the ground; finally, the user takes the lighting back in hand, unfolds it according to the desired opening angle, for example 180° as on the figure 2 , and fits the male part 32 into the receiving hole 60 of the handle 6 of the support accessible at the head of the tripod. Assembly and fixing are complete.
- the user pulls slightly upwards on the lighting to remove it from the receiving orifice 60, momentarily places the lighting, grabs the support and folds the feet, then puts the lighting back in the housing / the recess 23 by introducing it in a slightly inclined manner to position the electrical contacts 31 of the lighting against the electrical contacts 25 of the support, then tilts by pushing the body of the lighting which wedges itself in the recess 23 and comes into abutment against the stops 24 and the upper shoulders 24', thus maintaining the lighting in the stowed position without risk of falling.
