Definitions
- the invention relates to a retractable seat, for a sit-to-stand position, as well as its method of use.
- the seat also comprises a second module that can rotate in the same vertical plane as the first module comprising a support leg configured to be in surface contact with the ground in the position of use and a connecting rod fixed at a first end to the first module and at a second end to the support leg, the second module being configured so that 'in the use position the connecting rod and the support leg is in surface contact blocking the rotation of the second module in at least one direction of rotation.
- the present invention has the advantage of providing a seat which allows the user to rest in a sit-stand position easily behind his workstation by deploying the seat with advantageously a single rotational movement, while limiting the wheelbase and by allowing a support comprising a horizontal component which can be the majority. Indeed, due to the connection of the seat to a fixed point, whether it is a piece of furniture or a base, the user's support does not have to be mainly vertical at the risk of causing the seat to move back or tip over. In addition, the seat does not require complicated assembly disassembly. Conversely, by a simple tilting, the first module and the second module pass from the position of use to the storage position, thus allowing the user to pass from the sitting-standing position to standing, to move or clear the station, simplifying the storage of the seat.
- the seat comprises a spring element allowing a return to the storage position of the seat as soon as a support on the seat is removed or facilitating its maneuver by reducing the effort.
- the seat includes a device for adjusting the height of the seat, so that the seat can be adapted to different users.
- the invention relates to a retractable seat, between a use position and a storage position.
- the seat is in particular intended for a user in a sitting-standing position.
- sitting-standing position is meant an intermediate position between the standing position and the sitting position, that is to say a standing position in which part of the weight of the user is transmitted by the support of his buttocks on a seated.
- the invention can also be used for a fully seated position. The difference will be the height of the seat relative to the ground: if it is high the seat will be intended for a sitting-standing position if it is lower, the seat will be intended for a sitting position.
- the seat according to the invention comprises a seat 1 advantageously mounted on a bracket 22 comprising a crosspiece 23 and a vertical upright 24. As illustrated in the figures, the seat 1 is a substantially flat surface configured to at least partially receive the buttocks of the user.
- the seat is configured to alternately assume a use position and a storage position respectively illustrated in figure 2 and 1 .
- the seat In the storage position, the seat is retracted, that is to say that the seat is arranged so as not to be able to receive the buttocks of a user.
- the seat in the position of use, the seat is deployed, that is to say that the seat 1 is arranged so as to be able to receive the buttocks of a user, more precisely the support of the buttocks of 'an user.
- the retracted seat has a minimum size, advantageously less than 20 cm.
- size is meant the width of the seat in the retracted position.
- the seat typically comprises a first module rotatable in a vertical plane around a fixed point comprising at least one axis of rotation 9-10.
- the at least one axis of rotation 9-10 is arranged on a fixed support 2.
- the fixed support 2 can be either a base or an external element such as a piece of furniture.
- the fixed support 2 as indicated must be fixed and resist the tilting movement and the force transmitted by the support of the user on the seat 1.
- the seat according to the invention is particularly advantageous, because its installation behind a workstation is quick, easy, without damaging the furniture.
- the seat is either independent thanks to an independent base placed for example at the foot of the user's workstation, or the seat is fixed directly to the furniture of the workstation for example.
- the first module comprises longitudinal elements 5-6, configured to form a deformable quadrilateral.
- the first module comprises a first longitudinal element 5 and a second longitudinal element 6.
- the first longitudinal element 5 and the second longitudinal element 6 are advantageously connected at their lower ends to the fixed support 2 and at the upper part by a rod 7.
- the quadrilateral is therefore formed by two longitudinal elements 5-6, the connecting rod 7, and the fixed support 2.
- Each longitudinal element 5-6 is rotatable around an axis of rotation 9-10 arranged on the fixed support 2.
- the two axes of rotation 9-10 are parallel and extend perpendicular to the vertical plane in which the first module is mobile.
- the link 7 connects the first longitudinal element 5 and the second longitudinal element 6 by two joints each comprising an axis of rotation 11 - 12.
- the two axes of rotation 11-12 are parallel and extend perpendicular to the vertical plane in which the first module is mobile.
- the distance between the two axes of rotation 11-12 is equal to, or even less than, the distance between the two axes of rotation 9 -10
- This arrangement makes it possible to have a stoppage of the rotation of the first module, by contact between the first longitudinal element 5 and the second longitudinal element 6.
- the contact between the two longitudinal elements 5-6 is advantageously made by surface contact 17 preventing the rotation of the first module in the seat deployment direction.
- the seat comprises a second module rotatable in the same vertical plane as the first module or in a parallel vertical plane around at least one axis of rotation 15.
- the vertical planes in which the first module and the second module are mobile in rotation, are coincident or parallel.
- the second module comprises a support leg 3 connected to the first module.
- the second module comprises a connecting rod 8.
- the connecting rod 8 connects the first module, more precisely the longitudinal element 5, to the support leg 3.
- the connecting rod 8 comprises two joints allowing mobility in rotation around two axes of rotation 13-14, respectively arranged at each of its ends. According to an embodiment presented in picture 3 , the axis of rotation 13 of the connecting rod 8 coincides with the axis of rotation 11 of the connecting rod 7.
- the connecting rod 8 and the connecting rod 7 have a common axis of rotation on the first longitudinal element 5.
- the connecting rod 8 is arranged offset from the longitudinal axis of the support leg 3.
- the support leg 3 comprises lugs 19 receiving a transverse axis constituting the axis of rotation 14 of the lower end of the connecting rod 8. This arrangement allows that the second module comprises a blocking element in the use position.
- the seat comprises two second modules that are rotatable.
- the two second modules are arranged symmetrically on either side of the first module.
- the seat therefore comprises two connecting rods 8, 8', two support legs 3, 3', a foot 4.
- the seat comprises two connecting rods 7, 7'.
- Each connecting rod 7, 7' being arranged on either side of the first and second longitudinal elements 5 -6.
- the support leg 3 is itself connected, advantageously by its upper end, to the first module, more precisely to the longitudinal element 6, by a joint comprising an axis of rotation 15.
- the second module is configured to be locked in rotation in the direction of deployment by a surface contact between the support leg 3 and the connecting rod 8.
- the surface contact 17 between the two longitudinal elements 5-6 of the first module and advantageously the surface contact 18 between the support leg 3 and the connecting rod 8 prevent the seat from continuing to tilt in the direction of deployment. 26. Rotation in the direction of retraction 27 is always possible.
- the transfer of the weight of the user on the seat 1 on the first module and the second module favors the surface contacts and therefore the blocking in the position of use of the seat.
- the axes of rotation 13-14 of the joints of the connecting rod 8 are mutually parallel and perpendicular to the vertical plane in which the first and the second module are rotatable.
- the axes of rotation 9 to 15 of the first and of the second module are parallel to each other and perpendicular to the vertical plane in which said modules are rotatable.
- the support leg 3 is intended to be in surface contact with the ground 16, in particular at the end of deployment of the seat.

- the seat comprises two support legs 3 and 3 'fixed at their lower ends to a common foot 4.
- the foot 4 is provided with a non-slip coating intended to promote contact with the ground 16 and therefore the maintenance in position of use, that is, deployed from the seat.
- the weight of the user exerted on the seat 1 is transmitted to the first module and to the second module.
- the weight transmitted to the second module is taken by the support leg 3 and the foot 4.
- the foot 4 in the position of use, the foot 4 is placed directly above the seat 1 and preferably behind the seat 1, that is to say beyond the user when the latter is in a sitting-standing position.
- the seat comprises a spring element advantageously allowing automatic return from the position of use to the storage position of the seat, or else assisting the user by reducing the effort associated with this movement.
- the return force of the spring is configured to be less than the force exerted by the weight of the user on the seat 1.
- the return force is advantageously greater than the weight of the seat in the deployed position.
- the spring element is arranged between the first module and the fixed support 2, alternatively, the spring element can be arranged between the first module and the furniture of the workstation, for example when the seat is attached to a piece of furniture.
- the seat comprises a device for adjusting the height of the seat 1.
- the device comprises studs 21 mounted transversely on the vertical upright 24 of the stem 22.

- the vertical upright 24 is blocked in the second longitudinal element 6 when the seat is in the deployed position and the seat 1 is configured to receive the buttocks of the user.
- the rotation of the vertical upright 24 along its longitudinal axis is controlled by two stops 20 arranged on the cover and coming into contact with the studs 21 to prevent rotation of the vertical upright 24 over more than 180°.
- the seat 1 can be used as in the position illustrated in figure 2 , that is to say that the seat 1 is located between the first module and the second module, that is to say on the same side as a fixed point such as the base 2 relative to the first module, we will say in internal position.
- the seat can be used in the so-called external position, that is to say it is in a symmetrical position on the longitudinal element 6, relative to the figure 2 ; the seat 1 still allowing the support of the user, positioned on the other side of the first module. Therefore, the seat 1 is configured to allow support for the user in both positions, internal and external.
- the seat 1 In the position of use, the seat 1 is arranged substantially perpendicular to the vertical plane in which the first and the second module are mobile.
- the seat 1 In the storage position, the seat 1 can remain in the same plane perpendicular to the vertical plane in which the first and the second module are mobile or else be folded down parallel to said vertical plane as illustrated in figure 1 . This last position is advantageous when the seat is fixed to a piece of furniture and the seat 1 is applied against a side wall of the piece of furniture.
- the longitudinal elements 5-6, the connecting rod 7, the support leg 3, the connecting rod 4 as well as the stem are tubes of circular section without however being limiting. Some may be of different sections such as in particular square.
- the first module extends in the vertical plane in which it is rotatable.
- the second module is mainly contained in a vertical plane identical to or parallel to that of the first module and in which it is rotatable, with the exception of the foot 4 which is parallel to the ground.
- the seat has optimal ergonomics, allowing the user to switch very easily and quickly from the sitting-standing position resting on the seat 1, to a standing position for moving around, without risk of being hindered. by seat elements in the legs.
- the invention relates to a method of using the seat.
- the method comprises the following steps, allowing passage from the storage position to the use position by a deployment step and vice versa from the use position to the storage position, by a retraction step.

Description
The invention relates to a retractable seat, for a sit-to-stand position, as well as its method of use.
It belongs to the field of seats and will find its application in particular for supporting a user in a sitting-standing position during work requiring a station of this type.
In many situations, work must be done in a standing position or an intermediate position called sitting-standing. This is particularly the case in factories on assembly lines, when selling in stores or behind counters. The operator cannot be in a seated position due to the configuration of the workstation and any movements to be made. Particularly in pharmacies, operators work standing behind their workstations and have to move regularly to pick up the medicines and other products requested. However, long periods of standing lead to leg complications such as pain or heavy leg syndrome.
There is therefore a need to propose a solution which responds at least in part to the limitations set out above.
characterized in that the seat comprises:
- a first module mobile in rotation in a vertical plane comprising longitudinal elements configured to form a deformable quadrilateral, the first module being articulated around at least a first axis of rotation mounted on a fixed support, configured so that in position of use at least two longitudinal elements are in surface contact blocking the rotation of the first module in at least one direction of rotation.
Advantageously, the seat also comprises a second module that can rotate in the same vertical plane as the first module comprising a support leg configured to be in surface contact with the ground in the position of use and a connecting rod fixed at a first end to the first module and at a second end to the support leg, the second module being configured so that 'in the use position the connecting rod and the support leg is in surface contact blocking the rotation of the second module in at least one direction of rotation.
The present invention has the advantage of providing a seat which allows the user to rest in a sit-stand position easily behind his workstation by deploying the seat with advantageously a single rotational movement, while limiting the wheelbase and by allowing a support comprising a horizontal component which can be the majority.
Advantageously, the seat comprises a spring element allowing a return to the storage position of the seat as soon as a support on the seat is removed or facilitating its maneuver by reducing the effort.
Advantageously, the seat includes a device for adjusting the height of the seat, so that the seat can be adapted to different users.
- Deployment of the seat from a storage position to a use position comprising the tilting of the first module in a vertical plane in a direction of rotation around at least one axis of rotation simultaneously with the tilting of the support leg in the same vertical plane around an axis of rotation until the support leg is in surface contact with the ground and at least two longitudinal elements of the first module is in contact with each other so as to block the rotation of the first module in at least one direction of rotation and that the support leg and its connecting rod are in contact with each other so as to block the rotation of the second module in at least one direction of rotation.
- Retraction of the seat from the use position to the storage position comprising the tilting of the support leg in the vertical plane around an axis of rotation in the direction of rotation opposite to that of the deployment step simultaneously with the tilting of the first module in the same vertical plane in a direction of rotation opposite to that of the deployment step around at least one axis of rotation.

The use of the indefinite article "a" or "a" for an element or a step does not exclude, unless otherwise stated, the presence of a plurality of such elements or steps.
The invention relates to a retractable seat, between a use position and a storage position. The seat is in particular intended for a user in a sitting-standing position. By sitting-standing position is meant an intermediate position between the standing position and the sitting position, that is to say a standing position in which part of the weight of the user is transmitted by the support of his buttocks on a seated. However, the invention can also be used for a fully seated position. The difference will be the height of the seat relative to the ground: if it is high the seat will be intended for a sitting-standing position if it is lower, the seat will be intended for a sitting position.
The seat according to the invention comprises a
In the storage position, the seat is retracted, that is to say that the seat is arranged so as not to be able to receive the buttocks of a user.
On the other hand, in the position of use, the seat is deployed, that is to say that the
In this way, the retracted seat has a minimum size, advantageously less than 20 cm. By size is meant the width of the seat in the retracted position.
Preferably, the at least one axis of rotation 9-10 is arranged on a fixed
The seat according to the invention is particularly advantageous, because its installation behind a workstation is quick, easy, without damaging the furniture. The seat is either independent thanks to an independent base placed for example at the foot of the user's workstation, or the seat is fixed directly to the furniture of the workstation for example.
Advantageously, the first module comprises a first
This arrangement makes it possible to have a stoppage of the rotation of the first module, by contact between the first

According to a preferred possibility, the
According to the invention, the second module is configured to be locked in rotation in the direction of deployment by a surface contact between the
In the position of use, the
The axes of rotation 13-14 of the joints of the connecting

According to one embodiment, the seat comprises a spring element advantageously allowing automatic return from the position of use to the storage position of the seat, or else assisting the user by reducing the effort associated with this movement. The return force of the spring is configured to be less than the force exerted by the weight of the user on the
Advantageously, the seat comprises a device for adjusting the height of the
Preferably, the
In the position of use, the
In the figures, the longitudinal elements 5-6, the connecting
According to the invention, the first module extends in the vertical plane in which it is rotatable. Similarly, the second module is mainly contained in a vertical plane identical to or parallel to that of the first module and in which it is rotatable, with the exception of the
The invention relates to a method of using the seat.
The method comprises the following steps, allowing passage from the storage position to the use position by a deployment step and vice versa from the use position to the storage position, by a retraction step.
The simultaneous tilting of the first of the second module is stopped when the 2 modules can no longer rotate around their axes of rotation, preferably according to the
Advantageously, the
Conversely, the method preferably comprises a step of retracting the seat, from a use position to a storage position.
According to the embodiment in which the seat comprises a spring element allowing automatic retraction, the fact that the user ceases to exert pressure on the
