Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device for exiting building openings with sliding walls and a corresponding manufacturing method.
  • Sliding glass walls or similar sliding walls are used to open and close large building openings, such as a conservatory or a patio roof with side walls.
  • the sliding glass walls should be lockable in a closed position to prevent accidental opening and to provide some intrusion protection.
  • Known systems use various forms of locking devices that block a final sliding wall when closed.
  • Such devices are usually components that are visible from the outside, which on the one hand represent a safety-related weak point on the other hand, but also represent an aesthetic weak point.
  • DE 85 17 253 U1 describes a stop member arranged in a running rail of a sliding door.
  • the stop member has a buffer piece for moving the limit of the sliding door.
  • the stop element has a detent spring that can be overcome on both sides.
  • U.S. 2015/143664 A1 describes a travel limit device attached directly to a sliding door.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide a simple, safe and aesthetic device for closing building openings with sliding walls.
  • this object is achieved by a device for closing building openings with sliding walls having the features of patent claim 1 and by a manufacturing method having the features of patent claim 10 .
  • a device for closing building openings in particular with sliding walls, with a rail guide that has a recess; a carriage designed to slidably guide sliding walls, which carriage is designed to be slidable on the rail guide; and a retaining element which is accommodated in the recess of the rail guide and is designed to retain the carriage in a predetermined position along the rail guide, the retaining element being constructed and arranged to move the carriage by overriding the retaining element in a first direction, in particular for retaining a Sliding wall in the predetermined Position to automatically block in an opposite second direction.
  • the idea on which the present invention is based is to attach a retaining element in a depression that is usually provided anyway in the rail guide of a sliding wall, so that a carriage on which a sliding wall runs can move to the opposite position at a predetermined position along the rail guide after the retaining element has passed over it direction is blocked.
  • the sliding wall can thus be blocked in the predetermined position in a simple manner without integrating locking mechanisms or similar components into the sliding wall.
  • a sliding wall can thus be moved and locked in a simple manner from an open position, in which the building opening is freely accessible, into a closed position, in which the building opening is closed.
  • the present invention enables a separation of the retaining element and the sliding wall.
  • all sliding walls that are used to close a building opening together can be manufactured in the same way.
  • the retaining element can advantageously be a very simple component, for example a snap spring or the like, due to the hidden arrangement in the recess.
  • it can be a bent metal strip that is narrower than a depression, in particular a groove with the dimensions typical for a rail guide, of the rail guide and can therefore be introduced into the depression and fastened without any problems.
  • the introduction of the retaining element in a depression of the rail guide has the advantage that the retaining element is at least partially countersunk in the depression, so that it cannot be seen from the outside.
  • the view of the closed sliding wall is not impaired, which leads to an increased user experience. This also provides improved protection against burglary.
  • Releasing the blockage means that the building opening can be opened again.
  • the scope of the invention is, for example, for patio roofs, conservatories or window fronts with fixed casements, which are typically only opened a few times a year, e.g. in spring when the outside temperatures are getting warmer and frost is no longer to be expected, or for cleaning work.
  • the retaining element has an actuation section for releasing the blockage.
  • it is a pressure in the direction of indentation operable operating section.
  • the retaining element is arranged completely countersunk in the depression, together with the actuating section.
  • completely countersunk means that the retaining element is accommodated in its entire extent within the recess of the rail guide or, in other words, is arranged below a plane formed by an edge of the recess.
  • the rail guide can be designed at ground level.
  • no obstacle protrudes from a floor surface, which can represent a passage in the open state.
  • the retaining element is sunk on a first side next to the carriage, so that the retaining element is only accessible from this first side.
  • the inside of the building is preferably selected as the first side. This means that a last sliding wall can only be unlocked from inside the building and the building closure can be opened. This advantageously improves usability and protection against burglary.
  • the retaining element is protected from environmental influences at least in the closed position of the sliding wall.
  • the retaining element is arranged sunk invisibly in the recess from an opposite second side.
  • the second side is in particular the outside of the building.
  • the restraining element, in particular its actuating section, cannot be seen from outside the building, which ensures improved protection against burglary.
  • the retaining element is designed as a retaining spring.
  • the retaining spring has a step that engages when the carriage is run over. In this way, automatic locking is made possible when the carriage is driven over in the first direction.
  • the retaining spring is preferably designed as a shaped, in particular bent, piece of metal, for example made of spring steel. In particular, it is a metal strip that is narrower than the width of a groove in the rail guide that is provided as a recess.
  • the rail guide is designed as a multi-track rail profile with a number of parallel rails for guiding one carriage each.
  • a sliding wall is preferably designed to be displaceable in each case with one or more carriages running on a rail, so that all sliding walls can be displaced in parallel over the entire length of the rail guide.
  • the carriages preferably have drivers which project laterally to the guide direction and are designed to entrain adjacent carriages. Due to the parallel arrangement of the sliding walls, they can be Cover pushed together to the length of a sliding wall and thus the building opening can be opened almost completely.
  • the multi-track rail profile also enables adjacent sliding walls to be hung together in the first direction with the aid of the drivers formed on the carriages and to be automatically shifted and held in a shifted position when a last sliding wall is shifted. Consequently, with only one retaining element, which engages on the last sliding wall, it is also possible to block all sliding walls coupled in the first direction via the catches.
  • a recess in the form of a groove is formed between each two rails, in which the retaining element is accommodated.
  • a dimensioning of the groove with a greater depth than width can be provided, so that the retaining element can be accommodated completely countersunk in the groove.
  • the depth of the groove is to be understood here as the extent in the vertical direction, while the width of the groove represents the extent in the horizontal direction transverse to the guide direction.
  • the retaining element can be configured in its vertical extension with a sufficient spring deflection and possibly a step for latching without protruding from the groove.
  • the retaining element can be securely and firmly attached to the generally flat base of the groove.
  • the retaining element can, for example, have a bore through the base of the groove with the rail guide and/or attached to the building wall behind it, for example riveted or screwed.
  • the predetermined position for blocking the sliding wall in the second direction is selected such that the sliding wall can be blocked in a first direction by a stopper formed at the end of the rail guide in the first direction after the retaining element has been driven over.
  • the sliding wall can thus be locked on the rail guide between the retaining element and the stopper.
  • the first or last sliding wall can be blocked.
  • all interconnected sliding walls can be locked in the closed position via drivers.
  • a building opening of any size can be closed with any number of sliding walls with only one retaining element.
  • a width of the building opening that is limited, for example, by the length of a patio roof can thus be completely closed.
  • the building opening can be opened just as easily, regardless of the number of sliding walls, by actuating the actuating section of only one retaining element.
  • the device provides the advantage of easy operability and low manufacturing material and assembly costs.
  • the carriage has a driver which, when it is driven over, comes into engagement with the retaining element, in particular with a step provided on the retaining spring. through the intervention the retaining spring with the driver locks the sliding wall so that it can no longer be moved in the second direction.
  • FIG. 1 shows a schematic perspective view of a device for closing a building opening 1 with several sliding walls 2.
  • sliding walls 2 are arranged here, purely by way of example, which run on carriages 4 at least on their underside. In addition, the sliding walls can also run on carriages 4 at the top.
  • the building opening 1 has a rail guide 5 in which the slides 4 of the sliding walls 2 are accommodated, so that the sliding walls 2 can be moved on the rail guide 5 .
  • the sliding walls 2 are dimensioned such that their height is equal to the height of the building opening 1, and their width is sufficient to close the building opening 1 with all the sliding walls 2 arranged on the rail guide 5 by rowing them side by side.
  • In 2 is a schematic parallel to the rail guide 5 shown longitudinal sectional view of a portion of a device for closing a building opening 1 with sliding walls 2 in an enlarged detail. It can be seen that a retaining element 6 is fitted in a depression 7 in the rail guide 5 .
  • the depression 7 is preferably designed as a groove 7, the attachment of the retaining element 6 to a groove bottom 8 being provided with fastening means 9.
  • the retaining element 6 is preferably provided as a spring element designed with a bent metal strip and has a step 10 which is latched to the carriage 4 in the closed state shown.
  • the sled 4 is automatically blocked in the second direction 12 by engaging when the spring element is driven over in the first direction 11 .
  • a driver 13 is provided on the carriage 4, which in a lower area has a latching section 14 running in the groove 7, which comes into engagement with the retaining element 6 when it is driven over.
  • the position of the retaining element 6 is chosen so that the sliding wall 2 is in a predetermined position, here in the first direction 11 at one end of the rail guide 5, ie at the boundary 3 of the building opening 1, connects.
  • the sliding wall is thus blocked in the predetermined position by driving over the retaining element both in the first direction 11 by the limitation 3 and in the second direction 12 by the retaining element 6 .
  • the sliding wall 2 is thus locked in the predetermined position.
  • the retaining element 6 has an actuating section 15 with which the blockage can be released, so that the sliding wall 2 can be displaced back in the second direction 12 again. This can be done with pressure applied from the outside, e.g. with a tool or by hand, with the retaining element 6 being deformed to such an extent that the latching section 14 of the driver 13 and the step 10 disengage. The slide is thus no longer blocked by the retaining element 6 and is free to move in the second direction 12 .
  • FIG. 3 shows a schematic plan view of a device for closing a building opening 1 with sliding walls 2.
  • the rail guide 5 has three parallel rails 16A, 16B, 16C, as can be seen here by way of example.
  • a sliding wall 2 is arranged on the outermost rail 16A, which, for example, adjoins an outside 17 of a building (not shown here).
  • the retaining element 6 is thereby mounted in the recess or groove 7 which faces relative to the sliding wall 2 towards an inside 18 of the building.
  • the driver 13 protrudes from the carriage 4 to the adjacent central rail 16B in order to take an adjacent sliding wall 2 with it when it is moved in the second direction 12 to open the opening 1 in the building. If all carriages 4 used by sliding walls running parallel on the rails 16A, 16B, 16C have such a driver, then all sliding walls 2 can be taken along at once with one displacement movement.
  • the building opening 1 can thus be opened in a simple manner.
  • a stopper 19 is provided on each of the longitudinal ends of the rail guide 5 and blocks the respective sliding walls 2 at the two ends of the rail guide 5 at the limits 3 .
  • the stopper 19 can optionally be attached to the sliding wall 2 and alternatively or additionally, as shown in 3 shown to be located at the boundaries 3.
  • FIG. 4 a schematic cross-sectional representation of a device for closing a building opening 1 with sliding walls 2 is shown perpendicular to the rail guide 5 .
  • the rail profile 20 of the rail guide 5 can be seen, which purely by way of example has three rails 16A, 16B, 16C with grooves 7 in between.
  • the retaining element 6 is fastened to the bottom of the groove by means of a fastening means 9 .
  • the rail profile 20 also shows a typically rounded profile of the rails 16A, 16B, 16C, on which the rollers 22 of the carriage 4 with a corresponding profile can run with little friction.
  • the grooves 7 are formed so deep that the retaining element 6 is completely countersunk in the groove 7 between the first rail 16A and the second rail 16B. This means that the retaining element 6 does not protrude from the rail guide 5.
  • FIG 5 shows a section of the cross-sectional view 4 with an actuating means 21 for releasing the blockage.
  • the actuating means 21 acts on the actuating section 15 of the retaining element 6 and exerts an elastically deforming pressure on the retaining element 6 so that the latching section 14 and the step 10 disengage.
  • the actuating means 21 can be a person's finger, a rod that can be inserted into the groove 7, or another suitable tool that can be inserted into the groove.
