Claims (8)

  1. Barrière pour introduction dans un panier de coulée destiné à être utilisé pour la coulée de métal, comprenant un corps (21) en matériau réfractaire ayant des faces opposées en contact, en utilisation, avec le métal liquide, des bords latéraux opposés et un bord inférieur (24), les bords latéraux et inférieur engageant, en utilisation, des surfaces intérieures du panier de coulée, une ouverture (23) s'étendant entre les faces opposées dans la partie inférieure de celles-ci, l'ouverture étant fermée par une plaque métallique (25), caractérisée par le fait que la plaque métallique (25) est ancrée dans la barrière au moyen d'une pluralité de saillies (30) sur ou de manière adjacente au bord latéral et supérieur de la plaque, les saillies (30) étant encastrées dans le matériau réfractaire (21).
  2. Barrière selon la revendication 1, dans laquelle l'ouverture (23) s'étend jusqu'au bord inférieur (24) de la barrière.
  3. Barrière selon la revendication 1 ou 2, dans laquelle la plaque métallique (25) est en acier et a une épaisseur d'au moins 12 mm.
  4. Barrière selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans laquelle l'ouverture (23) représente 5 % à 20 % de la surface de la face de la barrière.
  5. Barrière selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans laquelle la plaque métallique (25) est située dans un renfoncement (26) entourant l'ouverture (23).
  6. Barrière selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans laquelle les saillies comprennent des éléments en forme de V (30), chacun étant soudé à la plaque au niveau du pied du V.
  7. Panier de coulée destiné à être utilisé pour la coulée de métal, comprenant un récipient à revêtement réfractaire ayant une zone d'entrée à l'intérieur de celui-ci pour recevoir du métal fondu versé et une sortie pour décharger le métal fondu dans un moule de coulée, le panier de coulée comportant, située à l'intérieur de celui-ci entre la zone d'entrée et la sortie, au moins une barrière selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes.
  8. Procédé de coulée de métal comprenant verser du métal fondu dans la zone d'entrée d'un panier de coulée selon la revendication 7 et décharger le métal fondu par la sortie dans un moule de coulée, dans lequel, après que le versement du métal a été achevé, la décharge de métal est poursuivie jusqu'à ce que le métal dans la zone d'entrée se soit écoulé à travers les ouvertures des barrières pour atteindre la sortie.
