Description
The present invention relates to the field of building, more particularly the construction of houses or buildings from building blocks. More particularly, the invention relates to the construction of a wall or the like from stackable building blocks. The invention relates to wall-type construction or the like, extending at least in one horizontal direction and one vertical direction. This construction comprises a plurality of rows of superimposed building blocks, and has a building block of substantially parallelepiped shape. Each building block comprising an upper face at least capable of being associated with the lower face(s) of one or two other similar building blocks, a lower face at least capable of being associated with the upper face(s) of a or two other similar building blocks.
Concrete or mortar blocks are very commonly used for the construction of construction works.
Many problems then arise with regard to these concrete blocks, which must both be easily handled for construction, and present interesting characteristics, particularly in terms of thermal and sound insulation.
The present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks.
- said building block (20) is made up of expanding foam and sand, said expanding foam being a polyurethane foam, the quantity of expanding foam is between 0.5% to 15% of the weight of sand, preferably between 2% to 8%, preferably between 3% and 6%,
- between the rear face (23) and the front face (24) there is an insulating part (29) extending across the width of the building block (20), said insulating part (29) being of substantially parallelepiped shape and whose height and length is identical to the building block (20).
Thanks to these provisions, the building block makes it possible to insulate and soundproof. It is also lighter, easier to transport and handle.
By expanding foam we mean a “single-component” polyurethane foam which expands as it dries.
It is generally packaged in an aerosol can to be shaken before use. It can be used indoors and outdoors, adheres extremely well to most materials (concrete, brick, plastic, plaster, metals, etc.), has exceptional insulating qualities (1 centimeter of foam would be equivalent to 40 meters of concrete) and swells enormously (a 500 milliliter bomb gives approximately 20 liters of foam).
The invention is advantageously implemented according to the embodiments and the variants set out below, which are to be considered individually or according to any technically effective combination.
In one embodiment, the rear face comprises at least one rectangular facing, of normally rectangular section.
In one embodiment, the front face comprises at least one rectangular facing, of normally rectangular section.
In one embodiment, the rear face or the front face comprises two rectangular facings, of normally rectangular section between which there is a hollow joint.
