A protective warning fence for preventative protection of road work, construction work, and/or excavation work, consisting of a lattice having fringes (1, 1') and weft threads (2), which are interwoven, and retroreflective elements (3), wherein the retroreflective elements (3) are strips, wherein the fringes and weft threads (1, 1', 2) are made of or comprise a polyolefin, wherein the retroreflective elements (3) are woven onto the lattice by means of at least one further weft thread (4), wherein the at least one further weft thread (4) is woven onto the retroreflective elements (3) in a zig-zag-shaped manner, characterized in that at least the outer fringes (1) comprise in each case two sub-fringes (11, 12) which are connected to one another in pairs by means of yet at least one further weft thread (5) running in a zig-zag-shaped manner such that they run directly adjacent and parallel to one another, wherein the sub-fringes (11, 12) are each formed from at least two threads (31, 32).
  2. The protective warning fence according to claim 1, characterized in that the remaining fringes (1') each comprise two sub-fringes (11, 12) which are connected to one another in pairs by means of at least one further weft thread (5) running in a zig-zag-shaped manner such that they run directly adjacent and parallel to one another, wherein the sub-fringes (11, 12) of the remaining fringes (1') are each formed from one thread (31) .
  3. The protective warning fence according to any one of the proceeding claims, characterized in that the fringes and weft threads (1, 1', 2) are made of or comprise polyethylene.
  4. The protective warning fence according to claim 3, characterized in that the fringes and weft threads (1, 1', 2) are made of or comprise high density polyethylene (HDPE) and/or a pre-stretched polyethylene film.
  5. The protective warning fence according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the retroreflective elements (3) are arranged parallel or vertical to the fringes (1, 1').
  6. The protective warning fence according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the retroreflective elements (3) are embedded in the protective fence.
  7. The protective warning fence according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the color or color combination of the retroreflective elements (3) and the fringes and weft threads (1, 1', 2) is freely selected.
  8. The protective warning fence according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it has any number of retroreflective elements (3) and a width between 0.4 m to 3 m.
