Abstract
The invention relates to a protective warning fence for a preventative protection of road work, construction work, and/or excavation work, consisting of a lattice comprising fringes (1, 1') and weft threads (2), which are interwoven, and retroreflective elements (3), wherein the retroreflective elements (3) are strips. The fringes and weft threads (1, 1', 2) are made of a polyolefin or have same, and the retroreflective elements (3) are woven onto the lattice by means of at least one weft thread (4), wherein the at least one weft thread (4) is woven onto the retroreflective elements (3) in a zigzagging manner. At least the outer fringes (1) are made of two or more respective threads (31, 32), and/or at least the outer fringes (1) comprise two or more respective sub-fringes (11, 12) which are connected together by means of at least one weft thread (5) running in a zigzagging manner such that the sub-fringes run directly adjacently to one another in a parallel manner.
Description
Protective warning fence The present invention relates to a protective warning fence for the preventive protection of road works, construction works and/or earthworks in accordance with the preamble of Patent Claim 1.
Protective warning fences for the preventive protection of road works, construction works and/or earthworks are known from the most recent prior art. In EP 1 851 B1 by the applicant, there is a protective warning fence consisting of a net with fringes (also referred to as warp threads) and weft threads, which are weaved among one another and retro-reflective elements, wherein the retro-reflective elements are strips. In the case of the known protective warning fences, it is provided that the fibres are made of polyolefins, preferably polyethylene, or comprise this, wherein the retro-reflective elements are weaved onto the net by means of at least one weft thread, wherein the at least one thread is weaved into the retro-reflective elements in a zig-zag shape. Here, the fringes are each made of one thread.
The fringes run in the running direction of the machine, by means of which the protective warning fence is made, which is generally designed as a raschel machine, wherein the weft threads, which connect the fringes to each other to form the protective fence, run vertically with relation to the running direction of the machine, thereby running vertically with relation to the fringes.
Such protective warning fences are generally used in all weather conditions.
In a disadvantageous way, however, in the case of unfavourable weather conditions, such as heavy snowfall or in the case of stormy wind, their stability can prove to be insufficient; these protective warning fences are primarily attached by means of metal posts or metal rods, which are connected to the outer sides and the areas between the outer sides of the protective warning fences. By means of these attachment methods, in the case of unfavourable weather conditions, the breaking strength and the tensile strength of the outer fringes prove to be so insufficient that these break off or tear.
The object of the present invention is to indicate a protective warning fence for the preventive protection of roadworks, construction works and/or earthworks, which also Date Recue/Date Received 2020-05-13 have a high level of tensile strength when subjected to unfavourable weather conditions.
This task is achieved by means of the features of Patent Claim 1. Other embodiments according to the invention and advantages result from the subclaims.
In accordance with this, a protective warning fence for the preventive protection of roadworks, construction works and/or earthworks is proposed, consisting of a net with fringes and weft threads that are weaved among one another and retro-reflective elements, wherein the retro-reflective elements are strips, the fringes and weft threads are made of a polyolefin or comprise this, wherein the retro-reflective elements are weaved onto the net by means of at least one weft thread and wherein the at least one weft thread is weaved onto the retro-reflective elements in a zig-zag shape.
According to the invention, it is provided that at least the outer fringes, meaning the fringes, which are only connected to another fringe to form the protective warning fence by means of vertically running weft threads, are each made of two or a plurality of threads. The remaining fringes are each connected to two fringes to form the protective warning fence by means of weft threads running vertically to the fringes.
Thereby, the guide needles of the machines to manufacture the protective warning fence known from the most recent prior art are designed in such a way that a plurality of threads, two or three for example, can be lead through.
In addition or as an alternative, at least the outer fringes each comprise two or a plurality of partial fringes, which are connected to each other in such a way by means of at least one weft thread running in a zig-zag shape that the partial fringes run directly adjacent in parallel to each other. In the case of fringes with two partial fringes, the partial fringes are linked to each other in pairs by means of at least one weft thread.
Within the scope of a first embodiment of the invention, at least the outer fringes each comprise two or a plurality of threads, wherein, in addition or as an alternative, at least the outer fringes each comprise two partial fringes, which are connected to each
