Abstract

The knitted fabric (10), for flags and the like, is structured with heavier knitted zones which are impermeable to air and lighter knitted zones which are air permeable. The knitted material has interruption openings (16) through patterning by a number of guide rails. A diamond pattern is formed with a diagonal crossing lines (15) of the material round a biaxial fixing in the diagonal directions of the fabric (10). There are 10-150 small openings (16) for each inner field (17) of the diamond (12) within the pattern width of the edging (14) forming the reinforcing zone. Also claimed is a prodn. process using three guide bars. In the first two guide bars two yarns are in a guide needle, 16 yarns each in a guide needle and eight times one empty guide needle and two yarns in a guide needle. A third guide bar has a repeat of 36 yarns each in a guide needle, for knitting with the guide bar movements to impose a diamond design. According to the patterning, the width of the reinforcement edging of a number of openings is controlled.

Description

The invention relates to a non-full-surface knitted fabric the preamble of claims 1 and 7, which is known from EP-A-0 118373, FIGS. 3 and 4, for use in protective nets, parachutes and geotextiles.

Another non-full-surface knitted fabric is known from EP 0 198 101 by the present applicants, which also has successive, parallel webs of air-impermeable knitted fabric with a higher basis weight and of more air-permeable panels with a low basis weight and recesses. The air-permeable zone or web with a low basis weight is formed in that there is only a connection from needle to needle in this area and there are fewer stitches per centimeter, which results in longer stitches and the gaps become larger.
In contrast, in the air-impermeable zone, which consists of more than three needles and there are more stitches per centimeter, this also results in less space in the stitches and between the stitches. In other words, a recess is a deliberate and placed opening, which is created with the help of the laying rail and the thread feeder, because of the lack of a thread connection from stitch to stitch. Other knitted fabrics are described in DE-U-94 11 597, however, their full area is taken into account, which is generated by the fact that three laying rails are used with full-area retraction. It is a dense and less dense sheet running mono-axially in the weft direction.

The less dense web is created by pulling apart of the fabric the entire width in length. Thereby there are fewer stitches per centimeter, i.e. the individual Stitch is made longer. This creates more void in the stitches as well as between the stitches, the higher one Allow wind to pass, but there is a risk of fraying include. Any gaps or holes not available here.

It is obvious that the experts however, are always striving to make further improvements in To achieve the sense of technical progress with it Flag knitted fabrics can be made to the considerable Withstand weather influences such as storm and rain a longer service life with excellent pressure resistance than previous flag knitted fabrics without fraying ensure that the flag buyers and owners be satisfied even more.

This object is characterized by that in claim 1 Knitted fabric loosened.

Surprisingly, it has been shown that the diamond pattern with about 10 to 150 recesses per inner surface of the diamond causes the desired bi-axial stiffening of the knitted fabric and counteracts the fraying in the edge area of the flag. The number of recesses per dm 2 is approximately 150 to 2500, but has certain deviations depending on the weight of the goods, so that with a defined repeat length and height, as well as the draw-in, the diamond size can be determined and the number of recesses can be specified precisely. Due to the special border, which can be adjusted according to the invention in terms of its width by pattern indentation, the diamonds with the recesses can be influenced as desired with regard to their strength.

Further advantages and features emerge from the subclaims out, together with the main claim of the invention Can be meaningful.

The following is a non-limiting embodiment described the invention.

Es zeigt:

Fig. 1
Fig. 2
It shows:
Fig. 1
a plan view of a section of a knitted fabric according to the invention; and
Fig. 2
a side view in the section of the knitted fabric of FIG. 1 used as a flag blowing on a mast.

In Fig. 1, the knitted fabric according to the invention is generally designated 10. The diagonally crossing path 15 of the pattern can be clearly seen, a 5.4 x 5.4 cm diamond 12 with inner field 17 and border 14 being highlighted. The inner field 17 has 81 cutouts 16 (or the repeat 161) and a size of 2.3 x 2.3 cm. Recesses 16 per dm 2 were provided for different goods 1701 and 1985. They have a diameter of 0.5 mm and are about 1 mm apart. Other proportions and numbers are easily conceivable for the person skilled in the art.

However, reasonable values for the number are for reasons of strength for a flag 20 (see FIG. 2) or the like Hoists and banners between 10 and 150 Recesses 16 per inner field 17, the shape of which is corresponding the construction used.

The advantage of the appropriately used construction are the threads forming the rectangle, i.e. two threads, and not just one, as in the state of the aforementioned Technology that runs against each other and under the tensile load the wind and the weight of the flag are.

The shape and size and the spacing of the cutouts 16 can otherwise be chosen freely by a specialist. The Figures in FIGS. 1 and 2 are only approximate but not the exact shape, size and spacing of the cutouts again, although otherwise a 1: 1 scale was chosen has been. A diameter of 0.5 mm at intervals of about 1 mm seems suitable.

In addition, the border 14 for the inner field 17 is the Rhombus 12 of particular width according to the invention Significance, since the latter refer to the sample collection can be controlled and determined. The proportions shown are advantageous and can be smaller or larger can be selected.

Furthermore, compared to the prior art mentioned at the outset, the weight per unit area of the polyester flag 20 according to the invention was reduced to 105 g / m 2 , that is to say by approximately 20%. This not only reduces the material costs, but also improves the blowing and standing of the flag 20 in the wind, as well as faster drying after rainfall. In addition, the flag 20 according to the invention also has improved elasticity in different directions.

The inventive production of the non-full-surface knitted fabric 10 described in which in Connection with the laying rail movements Lozenges 12 arise.

The content of diamond 12 is thus composed of the following different fabrics together. With 18, diagonally dashed lines indicate the Range of a variety of small recesses 16 on the ensure a better wind passage. The horizontal Dashed lines show the area of the border 14 the plurality of small recesses 16, which in their Width can be changed and set due to the feed the reinforcement zone. Next are in the sample feeder two threads in a perforated needle (double thread) used. These are used for additional reinforcement of the Cutouts 16 at the cross point of the diamond.

Three lay rails (not shown) are in different Way moves. That is, L1 is offset in one Zigzag movement for a limited time depending on the diamond size right and then back again in the same period Left.

L2 bewegt sich bei gleichzeitigem Start wie L1 in einer Zickzackbewegung zeitlich begrenzt wie L1, jedoch nach links und anschließend wieder mit dem gleichen Zeitabstand nach rechts.L2 starts at the same time as L1 in one Zigzag movement limited in time like L1, but after left and then again with the same interval to the right.

L3 dient zur Verfestigung der von L1 und L2 gebildeten Raute und macht ortsfest nur eine Zickzackbewegung.L3 serves to solidify those formed by L1 and L2 Rhombus and makes stationary only a zigzag movement.

A pattern feed is preferably provided in the laying rail L1 and L2 of two threads in a piercing needle, 16 threads in each following piercing needle and eight times an empty needle followed by a needle with each two threads chosen. 36 threads per repeat are placed in the laying rail L3 drawn into a perforated needle. The laying rail movements are like this controlled that the border 14 of the plurality of small recesses 16 takes a diamond shape.
