L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un moyeu muni d'une denture intérieure à partir d'un flan de tôle composé de tôle fine, comprenant les étapes suivantes : - emboutissage profond dans le flan de tôle, en plusieurs étapes d'emboutissage, d'une cavité en forme de godet présentant une surface de fond arrondie, de telle manière que l'épaisseur du flan de tôle augmente dans la zone de la surface de fond, - réalisation d'une collerette dans la zone de la surface de fond par emboutissage de collerette, - stabilisation de la collerette par un moule en affleurement au niveau de sa surface extérieure, - introduction dans la collerette d'une matrice présentant un négatif de la denture intérieure, puis - formage massif de la tôle par refoulement axial de la collerette jusqu'à ce que le matériau se trouve dans la matrice dans la zone de la collerette. L'invention concerne également un procédé de fabrication d'un moyeu muni d'une denture extérieure.
