Definitions

  • the invention relates to a rolling device for rolling a rolling stock and a method for operating the rolling device.
  • a generic device is, for example, from WO2005 / 120739 A1 known.
  • the rolling stock When rolling a rolling stock in a rolling train of a rolling mill, the rolling stock is usually reshaped in one or more rolling passes.
  • a rolling device is often arranged at the end of the process route, which has two rolling stands and can be operated in two different operating modes.
  • the thickness of the rolling stock in the first roll stand of the rolling device is significantly reduced, for example by more than three percent compared to the thickness of the rolling stock entering the first roll stand.
  • the rolling stock is primarily dressed, i.e. a desired surface roughness of the rolling stock is produced, the thickness of the rolling stock being only slightly reduced, for example by less than three percent compared to the thickness of the rolling stock entering the second rolling stand.
  • the first mode of operation is typically used in the production of relatively hard and thin sheet metal, for example in the production of tinplate with a thickness of less than 0.5 mm, which is used as a tin plate for food.
  • the rolling stock is first rolled in the rolling train to a thickness that is approximately in the range of a desired final thickness of the rolling stock. Since this usually requires a correspondingly large number of rolling steps or a correspondingly large pass decrease, the rolling stock is relatively brittle and fragile after these rolling steps or rolling passes, which is why it is then heat-treated, for example in an annealing furnace, to restore the toughness of the material to raise.
  • the recrystallization of the material structure that takes place in the process reduces the material hardness, which is why the rolling stock can then be fed to the rolling device.
  • the rolling stock is mainly dressed in both roll stands of the rolling device without any significant reduction in thickness.
  • the second operating mode is used, for example, when rolling a rolling stock that is then galvanized and is usually somewhat thicker than the aforementioned tinplate.
  • the first operating mode requires sufficient lubrication of the rolling stock as it passes through the first rolling stand and cooling of the rolling stock and the work rolls of the first rolling stand after they have passed the first rolling stand.
  • a lubricating emulsion is therefore usually applied to the rolling stock before it passes through the first roll stand, which emulsion has a relatively high lubricant content of 5% to 30%.
  • a lubricant emulsion an emulsion is generally used that contains water and a rolling oil as lubricant.
  • a cooling emulsion is usually applied to the work rolls of the first roll stand and / or the rolling stock, which emulsion usually contains water and a rolling oil with a relatively low percentage of rolling oil.
  • the DE 10 2009 054 205 A1 discloses a method for cooling and cleaning in casting systems, rolling systems or other strip processing systems, with cast products, rolling stock or components of the systems being simultaneously cooled and cleaned and possibly lubricated and sealed by a gas-liquid mixture.
  • WO 2012/079785 A1 discloses a method and apparatus for applying a lubricant in rolling of metallic rolled stock.
  • a mixture of lubricant and a carrier gas is generated in an atomization device and applied to at least one work roll and / or the rolling stock by means of an arrangement of spray nozzles.
  • the invention is based on the object of specifying a rolling device and a method for operating it, which are improved in particular with regard to consumption, the cost of lubricants and coolants and the efficiency of the lubricating effect.
  • the object is achieved according to the invention by a rolling device with the features of claim 1 and by a method with the features of claim 12.
  • Each roll stand has two work rolls spaced apart from one another by a roll gap through which the rolling stock can be guided.
  • the lubricant mixture application device with a lubricant mixture of a carrier gas and a lubricant is used to apply the lubricant mixture to a side of at least one work roll of the first roll stand facing away from the second roll stand and / or to at least one surface of the rolling stock on a side of the first roll stand facing away from the second roll stand formed, wherein the lubricant is a first rolling oil.
  • the coolant application device is for applying coolant, for example cooling water or a Cooling emulsion, formed on a side facing the second roll stand of at least one work roll of the first roll stand and / or on at least one surface of the rolling stock on a side of the first roll stand facing the second roll stand.
  • coolant for example cooling water or a Cooling emulsion
  • the skin-pass agent application device with a skin-pass agent is used to apply the skin-pass agent to a side of at least one work roll of the first roll stand facing away from the second roll stand and / or to at least one surface of the rolling stock on a side of the first roll stand facing away from the second roll stand and to a side of the first roll stand facing side of at least one work roll of the second roll stand and / or formed on at least one rolling stock surface of the rolling stock on a side of the second roll stand facing the first roll stand, the skin pass agent being an emulsion containing a second rolling oil and water.
  • Suitable skin-pass agents of this type are known and commercially available.
  • the lubricant mixture application device can apply a lubricant mixture of a carrier gas and a lubricant to the work rolls of the roll stand and / or the rolling stock in order to reduce the friction between the rolling stock and the work rolls of the first roll stand in the above-mentioned first operating mode.
  • the use of a lubricant mixture of a carrier gas and a lubricant has several advantages over the use of a lubricating emulsion. On the one hand, the lubricant consumption can be reduced as a result, since less lubricant is required for the production of the lubricant mixture which is sprayed directly onto the work rolls and / or the rolling stock than for the production of a lubricating emulsion. On the other hand, there is no need for the complex production and reprocessing of the lubricating emulsion, which is usually used for lubrication.
  • the coolant application device enables the work rolls of the first roll stand and the rolling stock to be cooled a coolant.
  • Using cooling water as a coolant has several advantages over using a cooling emulsion.
  • a cooling emulsion can only be used above a certain minimum temperature, for example above about 40 ° C. to avoid the formation of mold and / or clogging of lines.
  • Cooling water on the other hand, can be used at lower temperatures, for example around 20 ° C., which results in a correspondingly better cooling effect compared to a lubricating emulsion.
  • there is no need for the complex production and reprocessing of the cooling emulsion which is usually used for cooling.
  • the skin pass application device enables skin pass of the rolling stock using the skin pass through the second roll stand in the first operating mode or through both roll stands in the second operating mode.
  • the carrier gas is air.
  • Air is particularly suitable as a carrier gas because it is inexpensive and environmentally friendly.
  • a further embodiment of the invention provides that the lubricant mixture application device has at least one atomization device to which the carrier gas and the lubricant are supplied and which is designed to generate the lubricant mixture from the carrier gas and the lubricant. This enables the lubricant mixture to be generated by the lubricant mixture application device, so that no lubricant mixture has to be kept in reserve.
  • the lubricant mixture application device has a plurality of spray nozzles to which the lubricant mixture can be fed and which are designed to dispense the lubricant mixture. This allows the lubricant mixture to be applied and distributed in a targeted manner using spray nozzles.
  • a further embodiment of the invention provides that the roll stands have at least one support roll for each work roll and the rolling device has a cleaning fluid application device for applying a cleaning fluid to at least one support roll.
  • the cleaning fluid used is, for example, water or a cleaning emulsion.
  • the cleaning fluid application device has, for example, a plurality of cleaning nozzles for dispensing the cleaning fluid.
  • the cleaning fluid application device enables the back-up rolls to be cleaned of debris that collects on roll surfaces of the back-up rolls. This cleaning is advantageous because the roughening of the surface of the rolling stock produces abrasion particles during the skin pass process, which without cleaning would increasingly contaminate the rolling stock.
  • the rolling device is also preferably arranged at the end of the process route at which the cleanliness requirements of the rolling stock are particularly high.
  • Another embodiment of the invention provides a coolant circuit to which the coolant application device is connected and which has a collecting device for each roll stand for collecting coolant that drips from the rolling stand and a coolant treatment device for cleaning the coolant collected by the collecting devices.
  • This embodiment of the invention enables the coolant to be reused and thereby advantageously lowers the coolant consumption.
  • the lubricant mixture is applied to a side facing away from the second roll stand of at least one work roll of the first roll stand and / or to at least one surface of the rolling stock on one of the second
  • the side of the first roll stand facing away from the roll stand is applied and the coolant is applied to a side of at least one work roll of the first roll stand facing the second roll stand and / or to at least one surface of the rolling stock on a side of the first roll stand facing the second roll stand.
  • the skin pass is applied to a side of at least one work roll of the first roll stand facing away from the second roll stand and / or to at least one rolling stock surface of the rolling stock on a side of the first roll stand facing away from the second roll stand and on a side facing the first roll stand at least a work roll of the second roll stand and / or applied to at least one rolling stock surface of the rolling stock on a side of the second roll stand facing the first roll stand.
  • One embodiment of the method provides that, in the first operating mode, the skin-pass agent is applied to a side of at least one work roll of the second roll stand facing the first roll stand and / or to at least one surface of the rolling stock on a side of the second roll stand facing the first roll stand.
  • This refinement enables the rolling stock to be skin-passed in the first operating mode using a skin-pass agent.
  • FIG 1 shows schematically a rolling device 1 for rolling a rolling stock 3 according to the prior art.
  • the rolling device 1 has two roll stands 5, 7 which are arranged one behind the other in a rolling direction 9.
