Description

The invention is based on a paving stone with the features of the preamble of main claims 1 and 2.

Pflastersteine dieser Gattung sind beschrieben z.B. in EP 0 504 536 A1 , DE 296 07 105 U1 , DE 197 47 421 A1 .Paving stones of this type are described, for example, in EP 0 504 536 A1 , DE 296 07 105 U1 , DE 197 47 421 A1 .

It is essential that the paving stones have protruding lugs on the front faces as so-called laying aids or spacers. These contribute to a more beautiful and durable paving, as they can ensure a constant joint width. After the paving stones have been laid, the joints are filled with sand so that the laying aids/spacers are no longer visible.

Paving stones with such laying aids/spacers are known, for example as concrete paving stones. Furthermore, so-called pavers are known, which are made of ceramic material by extrusion. The advantages of pavers are that the front and back of the pavers can be used as visible sides. With pavers, however, it is not possible to rotate individual pavers in a paved area if they are designed with laying aids/spacers, since the laying aids would collide when rotated.

The object of the invention is to develop a paving stone that offers particular advantages when laid in paving. Among other things, versions as extruded pavers should also be possible.

The invention solves this problem with the subject matter of main claim 1 and with the subject matter of independent main claim 2.

The subject matter of main claim 1 is a paving stone with the features of the preamble of claim 1. In connection with these features, main claim 1 provides solution features a), b) and c).

According to feature a), main claim 1 provides that two end faces arranged on opposite sides each have at least one projection,
  • each of these projections being in the form of a bar-shaped or nose-shaped projection, and
  • all of these projections on the respective face of the paving stone
    1. i) are formed only within the first half of the stone height of the paving stone, namely in each case shortened in the two end regions compared to the half of the stone height, which extends from the first main surface to the middle of the stone height, or
    2. ii) are formed only within the second stone height half of the paving stone, each shortened in the two end regions opposite the stone height half, which extends from the second main surface to the middle of the stone height.

According to feature b), the main claim 1 provides that a further end face has a plurality of bar-shaped or nose-shaped projections or only one bar-shaped or nose-shaped projection,
  • all of these projections on this further end face extending along the height of the block with any desired length, the end face opposite the further end face being designed as a flat end face without projections

According to feature c), the main claim 1 provides that the paving stone has an axis directed perpendicularly to the further end face, about which the paving stone can be rotated through 180° and arranged in two rotational positions in the pavement in such a way that
  • that in the first rotational position the first main surface forms the upper usable surface and the second main surface forms the lower bearing surface, and
  • that in the second rotary position, the second main surface forms the upper usable surface and the first main surface forms the lower bearing surface.

It is essential that with this object according to main claim 1 it is possible to insert individual paving stones in the paving in a rotated position by 180° without the projections designed as laying aids/spacers on the adjoining paving stones in the rotated state meeting, i.e. the paving stones can be used in the paving with their upper side and lower side rotated as the visible side. With the configuration of the paving stones according to the invention, the arrangement of the paving stones in the paving results in the projections of two paving stones arranged adjacent to one another in the paving, which are arranged in different rotational positions do not touch, since the opposing projections are shortened along the height of the stone and in the rotated position on the adjoining end faces in different halves of the height are arranged one above the other, if necessary linearly aligned, without touching.

In this context, it is advantageously also provided that the projections are offset in their position on the two end faces arranged on opposite sides along the longitudinal extent of their end faces. It is also advantageous here if it is provided that the two end faces arranged on opposite sides each have only one projection or each have a plurality of projections. It is also advantageous if it is provided that a plurality of projections on the end faces arranged on opposite sides are each arranged symmetrically distributed in their position along the longitudinal extent of the end faces.

The solution according to the main claim 2 provides that the paving stone has the features of the preamble of claim 2. In connection with this design, the solution according to the invention according to main claim 2 provides features a), b) and c) of the characterizing part of main claim 2 .

According to feature a), it is provided that of two end faces arranged on opposite sides, only one of the end faces has at least one projection,
  • wherein this at least one projection and/or each additional projection is designed as a web-shaped or nose-shaped projection, and
  • wherein the at least one projection and/or each additional projection is on the face (S2) of the paving stone
    1. i) is formed only within the first half of the stone height of the paving stone, namely shortened in the two end regions compared to the half of the stone height, which extends from the first main surface to the middle of the stone height, or
    2. ii) is formed only within the second half of the block height of the paving stone, in each case shortened in the two end areas compared to the block height half, which extends from the second main surface to the middle of the block height, whereby of the two end faces arranged on opposite sides, in which only one of the end faces has at least one Has projection, the other end face is formed as a flat end face without a projection.

According to feature b), it is provided that a further end face has a plurality of web-shaped or nose-shaped projections or only one web-shaped or nose-shaped projection and these projections or this projection extends along the height of the paving stone for any length, with the end faces opposite the other end face being planar Face is formed without projections.

According to feature c), it is provided that the paving stone has an axis directed perpendicularly to the further end face, around which the paving stone can be rotated through 180° and arranged in two rotational positions in the paving in such a way that
  • that in the first rotational position the first main surface forms the upper usable surface and the second main surface forms the lower bearing surface, and
  • that in the second rotary position, the second main surface forms the upper usable surface and the first main surface forms the lower bearing surface.

This solution also has the advantage that individual paving stones of the paving can be used in the pavement rotated by 180°, with the effect that the projections in two paving stones arranged adjacent to one another in the case of do not touch the cobblestones rotated towards each other. This is due to the shortened formation of the projections along the height of the stone, so that when the paving stones are rotated adjacent to one another, the projections on the adjacent end faces are arranged one above the other at different height halves, possibly linearly aligned without touching.

It is advantageous in this connection if it is provided that of the two end faces arranged on opposite sides, in which only one of the end faces has at least one projection, the other end face is designed as a flat end face without a projection.

Both in the solution according to main claim 1 and in the solution according to main claim 2 it is provided in preferred embodiments that the projections on the further end face are distributed symmetrically in their position along the longitudinal extension of the further end face. In principle, the projections on this further end face can be of any design, since they adjoin the same paving stones in the paving stone in the same manner in the various rotational positions of the paving stone.

As far as the design of the projections is concerned, it is provided in preferred embodiments that the web-shaped or nose-shaped projection is designed with a longitudinal extension which is aligned along the height extension of the stone height of the paving stone. This applies to the projections the end faces which adjoin one another in the case of paving stones arranged next to one another in different rotational positions in the paving, ie for the preferably half-length nose-shaped projections. However, this also applies to the projections formed on the other end faces, which can be arranged as desired in preferred embodiments.

In all embodiments, i.e. both in the solution according to main claim 1 and in the solution according to main claim 2, advantageous embodiments provide that the first main surface and the second main surface are designed as flat surfaces. Advantageously, the designs are also designed in such a way that the paving stone is designed as a cuboid body.

In the first embodiment of the Figures 1a-1e is a cuboid paving stone made of ceramic material, a so-called paving clinker, which is produced by extrusion. The paving stone 1 is designed so that a plurality of paving stones 1 can be arranged in a pavement, as shown in FIGS Figures 2a and 2b shown. In the pavement, the paving stones 1 are arranged next to one another in rows, in the case illustrated in the figures the paving stones being arranged offset to one another in adjacent rows.

The paving stone 1 is in the embodiment of Figures 1a-1e designed as a cuboid body which has two planar main surfaces H1, H2, which are the cut surfaces that are formed when the ceramic strand is cut to length. The end faces S1-S4 are also flat surfaces, protruding lugs being formed as laying aids or spacers on the end faces S1, S2 and S3. In the embodiment of Figures 1a-1e six elongated lugs VS3 are formed on the end face S3, which protrude from the flat end face S3. The lugs VS3 each extend almost over the entire height of the paving stone 1 between the main surfaces H1-H2. The fact that the lugs VS3 "almost" extend over the entire height of the paving stone means that the lugs VS3 are shortened at both ends so that a stepped offset relative to the main surfaces H1, H2 is formed, so that the lugs are no longer visible in the pavement when laid. The lugs VS3 are distributed symmetrically over the face S3. On the side opposite the end face S3, a flat end face S4 is formed, which has no protruding lugs.

The end faces S1 and S2 are formed on the further opposite end faces. In the embodiment of Figures 1a-1e only one protruding lug is formed on the end face S1, specifically a lug VS1 that is only half-length. On the opposite end face S2, only one protruding lug is also formed, namely also a lug VS2 that is only half-length. The only half-long lugs VS1 and VS2 each extend only in the first half of the height of the stone, specifically only from the main surface H2 to the middle of the height of the stone. The half-length lugs are also shortened at their end towards the main surface, namely towards the main surface H2, in such a way that a stepped offset is formed in relation to the main surface H2, and the half-length lugs do not extend all the way to the middle of the height, so that the half-length lugs also have an offset in relation to the middle of the height.

The position of the lug VS1 on the face S1 is offset from the position of the lug VS2 on the face S2. This offset is an offset along the respective longitudinal extent of the end face. It is essential that the half-length lugs VS1 and VS2 each extend equally in the lower half of the brick height, ie with a slight offset from the main surface H2 to almost the middle of the brick height, ie with an offset to the middle of the brick height.

In the Figures 2a and 2b is a pavement shown in which only paving stones 1 according to the embodiment of Figures 1a-1e are misplaced. The paving stones 1 adjoin one another with their end faces S1-S4. The paving stones in the horizontal rows each border one another with their opposite end faces S1 and S2. The paving stones of adjacent rows each border each other with their end faces S3 and S4, with the paving stones of these adjoining rows being offset from one another, so that the end faces S3 and S4 of the paving stones in these rows each have two end face halves S4, S4 or S3, S3 of the paving stones of the adjacent rows adjoin each other. It is essential that the paving stones 1 can be used in two rotational positions in the pavement, ie rotated by 180° about their axis A. The axis A is centered perpendicular to the end faces S3 and S4. In the plan view in Figure 2a the middle paving stone of the lower row of paving stones is in its second rotational position, while all other paving stones are arranged in the first rotational position. The paving stone arranged in the second rotational position is arranged with its main surface H2 facing upwards, while the other paving stones are arranged with their main surface H1 facing upwards. The front face S2 with projection VS2 of the paving stone rotated by 180° thus borders on the front face S2 with projection VS2 of the paving stone adjoining on the left in the row. With its right-hand end face S1 with the projection VS1, the rotated paving stone borders on the end face S1 with the projection VS1 of the non-rotated paving stone adjoining on the right. Since the half-length nose-shaped projections VS1 and VS2 on the end faces S1 and S2 each extend in the height half between the main page H2 and the middle of the height, the nose-shaped projections VS1, VS1; VS2, VS2 of the adjoining end faces S1, S1; S2, S2 are not on top of each other, but lie on the adjoining end faces S1, S1 or S2, S2 linearly aligned one above the other. This linearly aligned stacked arrangement results from the arrangement of the half-length lugs within the same height half on the opposite faces of the paving stone in conjunction with the symmetrical offset of the position of the half-length lugs VS1 and VS2 on the faces S1 and S2 of the paving stone.

In the second embodiment in the Figures 3a-3e is shown, it is a paving stone, which differs from the first embodiment in that only the end faces S3 and S2 are provided with protruding lugs VS3 and VS2. The protruding lugs VS3 on the end face S3 are long lugs, the same as in the first exemplary embodiment, which extend almost over the entire height of the block, ie only at their two ends are offset from the main surface H1 or H2. In the embodiment in the Figures 3a-3e four such lugs are formed on the end face S3 distributed symmetrically over the end face S3. In contrast to the first exemplary embodiment, there are half-length lugs only on the end face S2. No lugs are arranged on the opposite end face S1. The end face S1 is designed as a flat surface. The half-length lugs on the end face S2 are of the same design as in the first exemplary embodiment, ie only within the height half between the main area H2 and the middle of the height, each with a slight offset to the main area H2 and to the middle of the height. In contrast to the first exemplary embodiment, four half-long lugs are formed on the end face S2. The end faces S1 and S4 are in the embodiment of Figures 3a-3e designed as flat surfaces.

From paving stones according to the second embodiment of the Figures 3a-3e is a plaster according to Figures 4a and 4b produced, in which the paving stones in adjacent rows the same as in the pavement Figures 2a and 2b are arranged. The paving stone of the second exemplary embodiment can be used in the same way in two rotational positions, which are rotated through 180° about axis A. This results in a corresponding effect as with the plaster in 2 . The paving stone rotated by 180° borders with its end face S2 with the lugs VS2 on the end face S2 with the lugs VS2 of the adjoining left-hand paving stone in the row. The lugs VS2 of the adjoining end faces are in each case linearly aligned one above the other without standing on top of one another.

These pairs of paving stones, in which the end faces S2 with the half-long lugs VS2 border one another, represent a singularity in the paving. When the paving stone is arranged in the identical rotational position of the other paving stones in the paving, there is a difference between the rotated paving stone and the adjacent non-rotated paving stone a joint without lugs as spacers. After filling the joints with sand, there is no visual abnormality compared to the joints with the spacer lugs, since these joints are also filled with sand. Alternatively, it is also possible to arrange the paving stones adjoining the singular pair of paving stones in the same rotational position as the respective paving stones of the singular pair.
