This text concerns a protection device 400, preferably against the sun, wind and/or rain. Said protection device 400 can be configured to be installed by implementing an installation method 5500 according to the invention. This S500 installation process will be described a little later.

The protection device 400, shown in Figure 5 , comprises a support 100, a traction member 200 and at least one articulated arm 300. Depending on the embodiments, the protection device 400 may comprise more than one articulated arm 300, but in most cases but without being limiting in this example, the protection device 400 can comprise two articulated arms 300. For reasons of understanding, the figure 4 represents a single articulated arm 300.

Said at least one articulated arm, that is to say the articulated arm, can be configured to present a plurality of positions between said folded position and said deployed position. Indeed, thanks to the help of at least one joint, the articulated arm can fold or extend. In the case of the Figure 4 , the articulated arm is in the folded position.

On the Figure 3 said traction member 200 is shown, i.e. the traction member 200. This traction member 200 can, for its part, be configured to pull the articulated arm 300 so as to overcome the force of gravity, during the installation of the protection device 400, according to the installation method S500. The traction member 200 can pull the articulated arm 300 from the deployed position to the folded position described above, when using the protection device 400, in other words, when the protection device 400 is fixed to a wall 900.

Furthermore, the traction member 200 may comprise a winding shaft 250 configured to be rotated during the traction step S530. This traction S530 of the articulated arm 300 by the traction member 200 can be carried out manually or automatically, during the traction step S530.

Thus, thanks to this arrangement, during the installation of the protection device 400, the articulated arm 300 is towed by the traction member 200 without the user and/or installer needs additional equipment and/or to lift the articulated arm 300 to the traction member 200.

The S500 installation process, mentioned above and shown on the figure 1 , makes it possible to totally or partially install the protection device 400 by using the traction member 200 to tow said at least one articulated arm 300 between a lower position and an installation position, on the one hand higher than the lower position and on the other hand, in which the protection device 400 is installed, or at least, the articulated arm 300 and fixed to the support 100. This support 100, also called console, comprises a receiving housing 110 and the arm articulated comprises a support member 310 configured to rest and/or be housed in the receiving housing 110, during an adjustment step S540 so that the articulated arm is adjusted to the support 100 before the device protection 400 is permanently installed, as shown on the Figure 5 . In order to complete this adjustment step S540, a blocking wedge 120 is attached to the console 100, during a blocking step S545, so as to block the articulated arm 200 before covering, for example, the lower face with a soffit 121.

This support 100 is fixed to the wall 900, during a preliminary step of fixing the support S510.

This is followed by the assembly of the traction member 200 to the support 100 during an assembly step S515. It should be borne in mind, that this assembly step can be carried out before the preliminary step of fixing the S510 support.

After this preliminary step of fixing the support S510, the articulated arm 300 is supplied during a supply step 5520 of the installation method S500 and preferably the articulated arm 300 is supplied in the folded position so as to facilitate its handling during its installation and in particular during the S530 traction stage.

The traction member 200, shown on the Figure 3 , comprises a protection member 220 configured to be attached or attach the articulated arm 300 and tow the articulated arm 300 during the traction step S530.

A step of fixing the articulated arm S525 to the traction member 200 is carried out before the articulated arm 300 is towed during the traction step 5530 by the traction member 200. More precisely, this is the the winding shaft 250 which is configured to be rotated during the traction step S530 and therefore towed the articulated arm S530 towards the support 100. The articulated arm 300 is supplied in the folded position beforehand on the one hand and remains folded during the traction step S530.

Indeed, the protection member 220 is configured to wrap around the winding shaft 250 in said traction member 200 during the traction step S530. Consequently, when the protection member 220 is wound up, the protection member 220 pulls said at least one articulated arm 300. This winding, or more precisely, this traction of the articulated arm 300 by said traction member 200 is carried out manually or automatically using a motor (not shown), during the traction step 5530 so that the articulated arm is pulled by the traction member without the user and/or the installer needs additional equipment and/or to lift the articulated arm to the traction member.

During the traction step S530, the articulated arm 300 is pulled with an angle formed between the plumb of the support 100 and the articulated arm 300 and between 0° and 40°, in particular between 0° and 20° and preferably between 0° and 10°, so that the installer and/or user can accompany the articulated arm 300 during its traction, or in other words, during its ascent.

Just before fixing the articulated arm to the support 100, the support member 310 comes to rest and/or is housed in the receiving housing 110, during the adjustment step S540, so as to allow the user/installer to adjust the articulated arm to the support before the protection device is permanently installed.

Finally, during a finalization step S550, the articulated arm 300 is fixed to the traction member 200 and/or to the support 100 after the traction step S530 carried out by said traction member 200. Thus, thanks to this provision, the articulated arm is fixed to the support with the traction member and the protection device is permanently installed, without the need for additional equipment and/or lifting the articulated arm up to the traction member.
