Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an in-ear receiver, in particular headphone and / or hearing aid, with a housing having at least one ear canal portion which is inserted in the intended use of the in-ear listener in an ear canal of a wearer and at least in one section an outer contour adapted to the auditory canal, a sound transducer arranged in the housing and at least one resonance space formed in the housing, which is divided by the sound transducer into a front volume and a rear volume.
  • an earphone with a housing in which a resonance space is formed.
  • a sound transducer of the earphone divides the resonance space into a front volume and a rear volume.
  • the earphone has an ear canal section, which is inserted in the intended use of the earphone in an ear canal of a wearer.
  • a disadvantage of this earphone is that given by the shape of the sound transducer, a geometry of the resonance space and only lieth very limited variable.
  • the object of the present invention is therefore to provide an in-ear earphone by means of which the disadvantages of the prior art are eliminated.
  • the in-ear listener may be, for example, a headphone that can be coupled to a music player or a communication device, such as a smartphone, to listen to music or speech.
  • a music player or a communication device, such as a smartphone
  • the in-ear earpiece can also be a hearing aid to amplify sounds and noises when hearing is impaired.
  • the housing has an ear canal section, which is inserted in the intended use of the in-ear earpiece in an ear canal of a wearer.
  • the housing further has, at least in one section, an outer contour adapted to the auditory canal. This improves the wearing comfort of the in-ear listener. Furthermore, this allows the entire available internal volume of the ear canal to be used for the design of the housing.
  • the outer contour preferably has a free-form geometry and / or organic auditory canal shape.
  • the free-form geometry preferably corresponds to the individual shape of the, in particular outer, ear canal of the respective user. This is preferably measured and / or produced by means of a 3D printing process.
  • the in-ear receiver comprises a sound transducer arranged in the housing.
  • the sound transducer can be operated as a loudspeaker, so that with this the sounds, the music or the language can be spent.
  • a resonance space is formed in the housing, which is divided by the sound transducer into a front volume and a rear volume.
  • the sound waves generated by the sound transducer can be amplified and / or modified in their spectrum.
  • the sound transducer is a MEMS sound transducer.
  • MEMS stands for microelectromechanical systems.
  • the MEMS transducer can be formed in more complex shapes than, for example, an electrodynamic or a balanced-armature transducer so that virtually no limits are set by the MEMS transducer of shaping the resonance space or the front and / or the rear volume.
  • the shape of the front volume and / or the rear volume can be adapted such that an optimal resonance effect or enhancement and frequency modification can be achieved.
  • the front volume has an inner contour adapted to the auditory canal and / or corresponding outer contour.
  • the rear volume also has an inner contour adapted to the auditory canal and / or corresponding outer contour. Due to the adapted inner contour, the resonance space in the corresponding volumes is made as large as possible in order to reinforce the sound waves generated by the sound transducer as well as possible.
  • the front volume can be partially, in particular in one or more sections, or completely, i. especially over its entire length, be adapted to the inner contour of the ear canal.
  • the rear volume may be partially, in particular in one or more sections, or completely, in particular over its entire length, adapted to the inner contour of the ear canal.
  • the inner contour of the front volume and / or the inner contour of the rear volume preferably has a free-form geometry. It is also advantageous if the outer contour of the housing in the region of the front volume and / or the rear volume has a free-form geometry corresponding to the inner contour.
  • the housing is formed, at least in the area of the front volume, of a material that is deformable in the case of body heat, so that it automatically adapts to its organic free-form geometry after insertion into an auditory canal within a time window.
  • the front and / or the rear volume By adapting the front and / or rear volume to the auditory canal, advantageously the front and / or the rear volume have similar resonance properties to the auditory canal.
  • a natural sound image i.e., as if no in-ear listener were in the ear
  • a simplified outer ear transfer function can thus be used, in particular one that takes into account only the pinna shape and not the ear canal shape, since essentially the actual shape of the ear canal is reproduced by the inner contour of the front volume and / or posterior volume.
  • the ear canal portion can be made using the 3D printing process, since only this part of the housing is arranged in the ear canal.
  • the part of the housing, which is arranged outside the ear canal, can be formed by means of the injection molding process.
  • the ear canal section can be adapted in accordance with the anatomy of the auditory canal of the wearer, whereas the remaining part of the housing can be formed inexpensively.
  • the housing is rigid.
  • only the ear canal portion can be rigid.
  • the rigid housing thus preserves its shape, so that the outer contour adapted to the auditory canal is retained.
  • the housing and / or the ear canal section can be produced, for example, from a plastic such as, for example, a thermoplastic and / or a duroplastic. Additionally or alternatively, the housing and / or the ear canal portion may also be formed of an elastomer.
  • a housing wall delimiting the front volume has a uniform thickness. Additionally or alternatively, the housing wall delimiting the rear volume can also have a uniform thickness. As a result, the front and / or the rear volume can be formed as large as possible in a simple manner in order to improve the reinforcing effect of the corresponding resonance chambers. Furthermore, it is advantageous if the front volume is arranged in the ear canal section. Additionally or alternatively, the posterior volume can also be arranged in the ear canal section. Furthermore, additionally or alternatively, the MEMS sound transducer may also be arranged in the ear canal section.
  • the MEMS sound transducer is arranged perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the housing. As a result, the sound waves generated by the sound transducer can be radiated directly into the front volume and / or the rear volume. It is also advantageous if the housing wall in the front volume at least partially has thickening and / or dilutions. Additionally or alternatively, the housing wall may also have thickenings and / or dilutions in the rear volume at least in regions. As a result, the resonance space can be enlarged and / or reduced at least in regions in the front and / or rear volume. Thereby, the resonance characteristics of the front and / or the rear volume can be adjusted.
  • the resonance element is arranged in the housing. Also with the help of the resonance elements, the resonance properties of the resonance chamber can be adjusted.
  • the resonance element can be arranged for example in the front volume. Additionally or alternatively, the resonance element can also be arranged in the rear volume.
  • the resonance element and the housing are formed from mutually different materials.
  • the resonant element is made of a porous material. As a result, the surface can be increased.
  • an edge region of the MEMS sound transducer is at least partially enclosed in the housing wall. As a result, the MEMS transducer is firmly connected to the housing.
  • the ear canal section has a sound outlet opening in the region of a first end arranged in the auditory canal.
  • the sound outlet is the intended use of the in-ear earphone the eardrum of the wearer facing.
  • the sound waves generated by the transducer can be passed directly to the eardrum.
  • the resources may, for example, a power unit for powering the in-ear listener, a memory unit for storing sounds and / or music, a control unit for playing the sounds and / or music and / or a data transmission unit for data transmission of data between an external unit and the In-ear listeners include.
  • the data transmission unit may comprise, for example, a Bluetooth and / or a W-LAN interface. Due to the resources on the in-ear earphone this can be operated independently.
  • the interface can be, for example, a clipping socket, a W-LAN interface and / or a Bluetooth interface.
  • the resources for the in-ear listener can be arranged for example in a unit that can be worn behind the ear, in particular the auricle.
  • an audio signal comprising the music, the sounds and / or the voice and / or the energy for operating the in-ear listener can be routed to the sound transducer.
  • Interface also be formed a connection to a smartphone, so that the music, etc. can be played.
  • the in-ear earphone can be made more compact.
  • an audio line running between the interface, the operating means and / or the MEMS sound transducer is embedded in the housing wall.
  • the audio line may also be embedded in the housing.
  • the audio line can advantageously be imprinted in the context of the injection molding process and / or the 3D printing process. As a result, the audio line is located neither in the resonant space, where it would adversely affect the resonant properties, nor outside the housing, where it would deteriorate the comfort.
  • Figure 1 is a sectional view of an in-ear listener with a housing and a transducer arranged therein
  • Figure 2 is a sectional view of the in-ear earphone according to Figure 1, wherein a
  • Ear canal section is arranged in the auditory canal of a wearer
  • FIG. 3 shows a sectional view of an in-ear receiver with thickenings of the housing wall arranged in the resonance space
  • FIG. 4 shows a sectional view of an in-ear receiver with a resonance element arranged in the resonance space
  • FIG. 5 shows a sectional view of an in-ear receiver with a sound transducer in the region of a second end of the in-ear listener.
  • FIG. 1 shows a sectional view of an in-ear receiver 1 with a housing 2. The in-ear receiver 1 arranged in an auditory canal 10 is shown in FIG. The essential features of the in-ear receiver 1 are the same in both FIGS. 1 and 2, so that reference is made to both FIGS. 1 and 2 for the description of the features and their functions.
  • the in-ear receiver 1 can be, for example, a hearing aid that serves for hearing assistance.
  • the in-ear listener 1 can also be a headphone so that music can be heard with it, for example.
  • In-ear handset 1 can also be used for communication, for example, to direct speech when making a call in the ear.
  • the housing 2 has at least one ear canal section 3, which is inserted in the intended use of the in-ear earphone 1 in the ear canal 10 of a wearer.
  • the housing 2 further comprises an outer contour 4 which is adapted to the ear canal 10 for high wearing comfort.
  • the in-ear receiver 1 has a sound transducer 5 in the housing 2.
  • the sound transducer 5 for example, the sounds, music and / or language can be generated.
  • a resonance chamber 6 is further arranged.
  • the sound transducer 5 also shares the resonance chamber 6 in a front volume 7 and a rear volume 8.
  • the sound waves generated by the sound transducer 5 can be amplified.
  • the sound waves can also be modified. The gain and / or the modification may depend on the shape and / or the geometry of the resonance chamber 6.
  • the sound transducer 5 is a MEMS sound transducer.
  • the MEMS transducer has an advantage that it is simple is constructed.
  • the MEMS transducer is also not dependent on a special form factor, ie shape of the transducer 5 or geometry. Rather, it can be relatively easily formed in various forms. For example, it may be formed with a round, oval, elliptical and / or angular cross-section.
  • the housing 2 and also the resonance chamber 6 must be adapted to the predetermined shape of the sound transducer 5.
  • the resonance space 6 can first be adapted such that its resonance properties are optimized.
  • the MEMS sound transducer 5 can be formed in accordance with the geometrical specifications of the resonance chamber 6 or of the housing 2.
  • the front volume 7 has an inner contour 9 adapted to the auditory canal 10.
  • the inner contour 9 of the rear volume 8 can be adapted to the ear canal 10.
  • the resonance properties of the front volume 7 and / or rear volume 8 are adapted to those of the ear canal 10. This imparts a sound image substantially similar to that of the ear canal 10 without the in-ear listener 1.
  • the sounds, music and / or speech are amplified, modified and / or forwarded as if no in-ear listener 1 were located in the ear canal 10.
  • the adapted to the ear canal 10 inner contour 9 of the front and / or rear volume 7, 8 thus results in a substantially unchanged and natural sound.
  • the housing 2 also has an outlet opening 12 at a first end 1 1 arranged in the auditory canal 10, which, when the in-ear receiver 1 according to FIG. 2 is used as intended, faces an eardrum 13 of the wearer.
  • the sound transducer 5 can be arranged essentially parallel to the cross section of the housing 2 and / or to the cross section of the ear canal section 3.
  • the sound transducer 5 divides the resonance chamber 6 into the front volume 7 and into the rear volume 8.
  • the sound waves generated by the sound transducer 5 are thereby radiated in the direction of the outlet opening 12.
  • the inner contour 9 can furthermore, for example, be a negative form of the outer contour 4, as shown in the present exemplary embodiment.
