Claims (17)

  1. Pivot fitting (1), in particular for movable furniture parts on items of furniture, having
    - a first lever (2) and a second lever (3) which are mounted such as to be pivotable relative to one another about a pivot axis (D) out of a basic position through a predetermined angle (α) in an adjustment direction (V) and a restoring direction (R),
    - a clamping or latching mechanism (23), by which the two levers (2, 3) can be fixed relative to one another in different angle positions within the predetermined angle (α) against a torque acting in the restoring direction (R) and can be pivoted in the restoring direction (R) when the clamping or latching mechanism (23) is deactivated,
    - an overload coupling, by which the first lever (2) can be pivoted relative to the second lever (3) in the restoring direction (R) when a predetermined torque is exceeded while the clamping or latching mechanism (23) is activated,
    characterized in that
    - the overload coupling is configured as a claw coupling (4) which is arranged as a structural unit not directly integrated into the clamping to latching mechanism (23) between the first lever (2) and the second lever (3).
  2. Pivot fitting according to claim 1, characterized in that the claw coupling (4) has a housing (41), at least one spring element (42), a first claw plate (43) which is coupled to a first of the levers (2, 3) in such a way as to rotate therewith, and a second claw plate (44) which is coupled to the second of the levers (2, 3) in such a way as to rotate therewith.
  3. Pivot fitting according to claim 2, characterized in that the claw coupling (4) has respective connecting elements (45, 46) for axially connecting a respective lever (2, 3) to a claw plate (43, 44), wherein the spring element (42), the claw plates (43, 44) and portions of the connecting elements (45, 46) are accommodated in the housing (41) and respective end pieces of the connecting elements (45, 46) protrude from the housing (41) and are coupled to a respective one of the levers (2, 3).
  4. Pivot fitting according to claim 3, characterized in that the claw plates (43, 44) have respective elevations (432, 433) and depressions (442, 443) on annular surfaces (431, 441) which face towards one another in the assembled state, wherein the elevations (432, 433) and depressions (442, 443) are shaped such that the elevations (432, 433) of one of the claw plates (43, 44) come to lie in the depressions (442, 443) of the other of the claw plates (43, 44) in a latching position and, by rotating said claw plates relative to one another about the pivot axis (D), the elevations (432, 433) of one of the claw plates (43, 44) bear against the annular surface (431, 441) next to the depressions (442, 443).
  5. Pivot fitting according to claim 4, characterized in that the coding of the elevations (432, 433) and depressions (442, 443) is selected such that the latching position can be assumed when the claw plates (43, 44) are in angle positions spaced apart from one another by 180°.
  6. Pivot fitting according to claim 4 to 5, characterized in that the radial side edges of the elevations (432, 433) and depressions (442, 443) are chamfered and/or rounded.
  7. Pivot fitting according to one of claims 2 to 6, characterized in that the first claw plate (43) has a central aperture (437) with a polygonal or toothed inner edge, in which a polygonal or externally toothed force-transmitting shaft (24) held in the lever head (22) of the first lever (2) is received in the assembled state.
  8. Pivot fitting according to one of claims 2 to 7, characterized in that an axially extending force-transmitting shaft (447) with a polygonal or toothed lateral surface extends from an annular surface (445) of the second claw plate (44), facing away from the first claw plate (43), and in the assembled state engages in a polygonal or internally toothed aperture formed in the lever head (32) of the second lever (3).
  9. Pivot fitting according to claim 8, characterized in that the force-transmitting shaft (447) has a circular-cylindrical neck piece (446), onto which the at least one spring element (42) is threaded in the assembled state.
  10. Pivot fitting according to claim 8 or 9, characterized in that the force-transmitting shaft (447) is formed in one piece with the second claw plate (44).
  11. Pivot fitting according to one of claims 3 to 10, characterized in that the housing (41) of the claw coupling (4) has a cylindrical lateral surface (411), from the edge of which, facing towards the first lever (2), flexible tongues (414) extend axially prior to assembly of the claw coupling, which flexible tongues, after insertion of the at least one spring element (42), of the claw plates (43, 44) and of the connecting elements (45, 46), are bent radially inwards such that the claw plates (43, 44) are pressed against one another by the at least one spring element (42) under pretension.
  12. Pivot fitting according to claim 11, characterized in that the annular surface (435) of the first claw plate (43) that faces away from the second claw plate has a plurality of depressions (436), in which the radially inwardly bent tongues (414) of the housing (41) come to lie.
  13. Pivot fitting according to one of claims 2 to 12, characterized in that at least one of the claw plates (43, 44) is configured as a sintered component.
  14. Pivot fitting according to one of claims 3 to 12, characterized in that the connecting elements (45, 46) are configured as rivets.
  15. Pivot fitting according to claim 14, characterized in that rivet heads (452, 462) of the connecting elements (45, 46) are received in a cutout (444) of the second claw plate (44) in a manner bearing against one another and supporting one another.
  16. Item of furniture (100) having a pivot fitting (1) according to one of the preceding claims.
  17. Item of furniture (100) according to claim 16, characterized in that the pivot fitting (1) fixes, in an adjustable manner, an armrest (103) or other adjustable furniture parts to a body (101) of an item of furniture (100) configured as an item of furniture for sitting or lying down.
