Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for producing a data page for a book-like document, in particular a value and / or security document, as well as a data page with a data carrier and a strap attached to it made of a strip material.
  • a data page according to the preamble of claim 9 is known. This comprises a data carrier and a strap attached to it, which is connected to the data carrier by ultrasonic welding.
  • From the EP 1 008 459 A shows a data page with a flap which is connected to the data page by a closure.
  • This closure has projections which pass through recesses in the data tab, so that the projections of the closure are welded to the data page without a joining zone being formed between the tab and the data page.
  • WO 2015/177440 A1 a method for producing a data page for a book-like document is known.
  • a tab is positioned on a data page to form an overlap area.
  • This tab is connected to the data page by ultrasonic welding.
  • An ultrasonic sonotrode is used, which has a large number of elongated projections in order to form a welding pattern. Distances are provided between the individual projections through which no welding takes place.
  • the data carrier comprises at least a first and a second layer, a first layer being arranged set back with respect to a second layer in order to form a shoulder on an end face of the data carrier to which a tab is attached.
  • the depth of this paragraph corresponds essentially to the thickness of the tab.
  • the tab which is formed from a net-like material with a carrier layer, is aligned with the shoulder and welded to the data carrier.
  • the data carrier By forming the shoulder in the data carrier to form an overlap area with the tab, the data carrier can be of the same thickness inside and outside the overlap area.
  • the formation of a paragraph is technically complex.
  • a method for producing a data page in particular for a value and / or security document, which comprises a data carrier with a strap attached to it made of a textile strip material.
  • An ultrasonic joining method is provided for connecting the tab to the data carrier in an overlapping area, in which the tab is acted upon with a sonotrode and is joined to the data carrier.
  • a joining zone 37 or on the front side 34 a pinch zone 38 is formed in the area between an outside of the data carrier 20 and the end face 34 of the data carrier 20, which protrudes over the end face 34.
  • a pinch zone 38 or pinch edge causes an undesirable burr on the end face 34 of the data carrier 20.
  • a template 39 is positioned adjacent to the end face 34 of the data carrier 20 before the ultrasonic energy is introduced into the overlap area ( Figure 3 ) to avoid a pinch zone 38.
  • this only leads to an improvement to a limited extent, since in terms of process technology it is provided by a template 39 Fig. 3 only part of the end face 34 can be supported.
  • a compressive force is applied by means of the sonotrode 36 and the support on the template 39, a displacement movement of the data carrier 20 is generated according to arrow S, whereby the data carrier 20 must also be fixed during the welding process.
  • the invention is based on the object of proposing a method for producing a data page for a book-like document, in particular a value and / or security document, as well as a data page in which the contour of the end face of the data carrier is retained in the overlap area after the tab has been joined to the data carrier remains, preferably to meet high aesthetic demands.
  • the invention is based on the object of preferably significantly reducing the process time for carrying out the method and producing the data page.
  • the object on which the invention is based is achieved by a method according to claim 1 for producing a data page for a book-like document, in which a joining zone is introduced into the overlapping area, which is provided at a distance from the end face of the data carrier that adjoins the protruding area of the flap so that an overlap area is formed between the joining zone and the end face of the data carrier, in which the data carrier and the tab are arranged unmated to one another.
  • This inwardly offset or indented joining zone against the face of the data carrier prevents the formation of a pinch edge or pinch zone and the face of the
  • the data carrier is retained in the provided contour and / or shape before the tab is connected to the data carrier.
  • An overlap area is formed which is free of one or more joining zones in its entire area.
  • the tab is loosely positioned in the overlap area on a section of the data carrier between the end face of the data carrier and the joining zone. As a result, the tab is provided free of joints in the overlap area.
  • the tab is connected to the data carrier in the joining zone. Seen in the direction of the end face of the data carrier, there then follows a section of the tab which rests on the data carrier over its entire length and then merges directly into a protruding area of the tab.
  • This data carrier is sewn and / or glued into a book block or book cover via the protruding area in the flap.
  • a front edge of the sonotrode which delimits a working surface of the sonotrode in the direction of the protruding area of the tab, is aligned offset with respect to the front edge of the data carrier in the direction of the overlap area, so that the joint zone with a Distance to the face of the data carrier is introduced in the overlap area of the tab to the data carrier.
  • a sonotrode is preferably used in which the working surface has a width which corresponds to the width of the joining zone of the tab to the data carrier and is smaller than the width of the overlap area.
  • the width of the work surface compared to the sonotrodes according to the prior art in the Figures 2 and 3 preferably reduced. This enables higher contact pressures and a higher surface pressure as well as a higher energy input, which reduces the process times.
  • the sonotrode is positioned flush with the longitudinal edge of the tab, which points in the direction of the center of the data carrier, a defined width of the overlap zone can be formed.
  • the process times for attaching the tabs can be reduced by approx. 80%.
  • a compressive force is applied to the tab by means of the sonotrode in the joining zone within the overlap area, so that an outside of the tab, which is provided on the data side, is positioned flush with an outside of the data carrier in the overlap area.
  • a level transition can be formed between the outside of the data page and the tab.
  • a form-fitting connection can be created between the tab and the data carrier. This enables the tab to be securely attached to the data carrier.
  • the width of the working surface of the sonotrode is wider than the joining zone, the sonotrode being positioned in relation to the overlap area in such a way that the working surface of the sonotrode covers the joining zone and an adjacent outside of the data carrier. This enables a stepless transition at a joint between an outside of the data carrier and the tab positioned in the overlap area.
  • the distance between the joining zone in the overlap area and the front side of the data carrier and / or the ultrasonic energy to be introduced into the joining zone are preferably matched to one another so that the contour of the front side of the data carrier remains unchanged.
  • the outside of the data page is melted or melted and the textile tape material of the flap is embedded in the outside of the data page. This creates a hooking or clawing between the outer one Layer of the data page and the textile tape material of the flap formed, whereby the tear resistance can be increased.
  • the object on which the invention is based is achieved by a data page for a book-like document, in particular a value and / or security document, in which a data carrier and a flap made of a strip material are positioned to form an overlap area and a protruding area, the flap with the
  • the data carrier is connected by a joining zone within the overlap area and an overlap zone is formed between an end face of the data carrier facing the protruding area of the tab and the joining zone, in which the tab and the data carrier are arranged unmated to one another.
  • This connection of the tab to the data carrier enables the joining zone to be set into the data carrier and not directly adjoin the end face of the data carrier which points towards the protruding area of the tab.
  • the overlap zone in the overlap area preferably extends parallel to the end face of the data carrier and advantageously directly adjoins the end face of the data carrier.
  • the tab section preferably has a step-free transition from the joining zone into the overlapping zone in the overlapping area. This can increase the flexural fatigue strength of the tab.
  • the section of the tab provided in the joining zone is preferably provided flush with the outside of the data carrier adjoining it. This creates a stepless connection of the bracket to the Disk allows in the direction of the data in or on the disk.
  • the thickness of the end face of the data carrier which adjoins the protruding area of the tab, corresponds to the thickness of the data carrier in the remaining area with the exception of the overlap area.
  • the width of the overlap zone, which adjoins the end face of the data carrier is equal to or greater than the thickness of the tab. This preferably results in good connection conditions between the tab and the data carrier.
  • the bending point of the tab is therefore not arranged directly on the front side of the edge, but offset inward, that is, arranged at a distance from the front side of the data carrier, which results in increased dimensional stability.
  • Another preferred embodiment of the data page provides that the thickness of the data carrier corresponds to two to eight times the thickness of the tab.
  • the distance between the joining zone and the end face of the data carrier is at least 0.1 mm, preferably in the range between 0.5 to 2.0 mm and particularly preferably in a range from 0.7 to 1.0 mm. This can also improve the unlocking behavior of a passport book with such a data page.
